EPISODE 56

All of them reach the hospital.

Anika: Where is Shivaay? I need to see him now.
Ishana: Anika, calm down. I’ll take you to Shivaay.

Ishana takes them to the operation theatre. Om-Rudra-Meera are there.
Anika is about to enter but Om stops her.

Anika: Leave me Om, I must go.
Omkara: Anika, the doctors are operating him, you cannot go in. Please understand.
Anika: You understand Om, I need to be with him, he needs me. (She breaks down)

Om hugs her and she cries,

Omkara: Nothing will happen to him, Anika. Shivaay will be fine. Let doctors work, he’ll be fine soon.

Om makes Anika sit on the bench.

Ishana: Soumya-Rudra, go and bring water for everyone.
Rudra: Yes Di.
Dadi: God, please make our Shivaay fine.
Pinky: Don’t worry mummyji, Shivaay is strong, he can fight this.

One hour had passed, the doctor comes out. Anika rushed to him,

Anika: How is Shivaay? He is fine?
Doctor: We have removed the bullet but….
Anika: But….
Doctor: We cannot say anything till he gains conscious. If he doesn’t wake up in the next 6 hours….
Omkara: What will happen doctor?
Doctor: He may slip into a coma or we may lose him forever.

They all are shocked hearing this.

Doctor: Hope is our last option. Let’s pray that he wakes up soon.

The doctor leaves.

Anika: He’ll leave me…. he’ll leave me…. No…. No…. He cannot do this….

Ishana hugs Anika and cries,

Ishana: Anika, nothing will happen. Shivaay will be okay.
Anika: No…. he cannot leave me…. No….

All of them had tears seeing Anika like this, they had never seen her so vulnerable and broken, she had always been strong and faced all situations with strength, but today she was weak, Anika Singh Oberoi was weak.

On Om’s request, elders had left the hospital, Meera was sitting with Anika, who hadn’t spoken a word since the last two hours, her tears had dried up and she was sitting like she was dead from inside.

In one corner,

Soumya was crying and Rudra was consoling her,

Rudra: Soumya, please stop crying. I know it is a hard situation but we need to be strong.
Soumya: Rudra, both my superman and supergirl are in so much pain today.
Rudra: That’s why I am telling you, we need to be strong for them. We have to be their strength today.
Soumya: You are right.

She wipes her tears.

Rudra: That’s like my girl.

In another corner,

Ishana: I have never seen Anika like this ever. Even in worse situations, she has always kept herself strong.
Omkara: I know but seeing Shivaay like this has made her weak.
Ishana: Shivaay is her life, if anything happens to him, she won’t be able to bear that.
Omkara: Nothing will happen to him. Anika’s love will save him.

Five hours had passed and Shivaay hadn’t shown even the slightest movement.
All of them were getting worried now.

Soumya: Why isn’t jiju waking up? I am getting scared.
Omkara: Now even I am getting worried.

Anika gets up from her seat,

Ishana: Anika, where are you going?
Anika: To wake him up, he cannot make Anika Singh Oberoi wait so much, I have had enough of his wish. Now he’ll have to wake up.

She goes inside the room, Ishana was about to stop her but Om signals her not to do that.

Ishana: But Om…
Omkara: Let her go, I know she’ll get him back.

Inside the room,

Shivaay was lying unconscious on the bed with all the medical equipment attached to him, a tear escaped Anika’s eyes when she saw him, she sat beside him and held his hand gently,

Anika: You know my anger, then why are you doing this? …. Shivaay, its better you wake up before I show you my angry mode…. I have had enough of this, you cannot make me wait like this…. You must wake up now…. (There was no movement, Anika couldn’t hold it any longer, tears started flowing from her eyes) ….you cannot leave me alone….you cannot do this to me….whom will I argue with….who will show me attitude…..who will answer me back….who will break my tadi…..yes…now even I like to use all these words….they sound so good to my ears….Shivaay….you have to wake up….you had promised that you’ll never leave me….we have taken vows around the sacred fire….you cannot live me….you made me smile again….you cannot make me cry….we have to argue more….we have to show each other attitude….we have to smile more together….we have to live more together….you have to be there with me….you have to be there with me…. (she cries even more) …. I cannot live without you…I cannot have my life without you…you are important to me…. I LOVE YOU SHIVAAY….and I want you….

Tears start flowing from her eyes, she keeps her head down and cries badly, her tears fell on Shivaay’s hand, there was movement in his fingers, Anika felt that and immediately looked up, she could see Shivaay slowly opening his eyes, she was happy, tears were flowing from his eyes,

Shivaay: A…. Ani…. Anika….

Anika felt life coming back to her when she heard his voice.

Anika: Sshhh…. Don’t say anything…. I’ll call the doctors…you wait here.

Anika came out and everyone looks at her,

Soumya: Di, wo jiju…
Anika: He is fine, he woke up.

All of them are happy hearing this.

Omkara: I’ll call the doctors.
Ishana and Soumya hugged Anika.

Doctors come and check Shivaay.

Anika: Doctor, he is fine?
Doctor: Yes. He’ll be fine soon. Thank God, he woke up at the right time. You all should wait outside and he should rest.
Anika: I’ll stay with him.

The doctors leave.

Soumya: Jiju, you take rest. We’ll talk later.
Omkara: Yes, he needs time.
Ishana: Anika, if you need anything, we are outside only.

They all go out. Anika sat beside Shivaay, they look at each other,

Shivaay: You should take rest.
Anika: The bullet hit you and you are asking me to take rest. I am not leaving you.

She realized what she said and remembered what she had said earlier.

Shivaay: What did you say?
Anika: Nothing. You should take rest. I’ve to make a call.

She gets up to leave but Shivaay holds her hand,

Anika: Shivaay….

Shivaay pulls her closer to him and whispers in her ears,

Shivaay: I LOVE YOU TOO.

Anika looks at him in shock, he lays back and closes his eyes.
Anika stood there in shock, she replayed the moments in her mind, a smile crept on her face. She looked at Shivaay and left.

Outside the hospital,

Anika: Here (she hands over an envelope to someone) Take this, this envelope has your advance payment and photo of the man you have to find. I want him in front of me soon.
Man: Don’t worry ma’am, you’ll work will be done.
Anika: Good.

The man leaves.

Anika: I know it is you and I won’t spare you for the mistake you did. You tried to kill Shivaay, this would be your last mistake.
