“Some meetings don’t need reasons, some reasons don’t define meetings”
It was late October evening, the perfect time of the year when the nature’s beauty has a deeper definition, the lovely autumn season. The entire sky had turned different shades of purple from light lavender to the dark violet. The moon had taken its designated place in the sky accompanied by his fellow friends, the twinkling stars. The wind blowing slowly carrying with it the fragrance of evening lilies and roses. The entire atmosphere was delighted to make anyone fall in love with the nature.
“Nature is the best artist in the world” exclaimed Om who was busy painting the scenic beauty onto his canvas. The shiny black hair swinging with the breeze, the black eyes carrying an intense pain buried deep in his heart, the lips that were home to the world’s most beautiful smile to hide all the pain his eyes reflected, he was not only handsome but calm and composed. He was working with full concentration and dedication, his passion clearly visible in his eyes. One would wonder how those eyes could carry thousand emotions at once and still manage to look so appealing. The satisfaction of his work was well portrayed by his eyes and the smile that adorned his lips.
After completing his painting, he looked at with appreciation and pride, “This is my master piece” he looked at the canvas admiringly. After looking at it for a while, he started packing his stuff. “I need to get home fast, Shivaay and Rudra must be waiting” he reminded himself as he continued packing. It was a regular routine that the three of them prepared dinner together, enjoying and celebrating their Obro moment. These were the most loved and cherished moments of his life. His brothers were his strength, his inspiration, had they not been there he would have been completely shattered long ago. They were the reason he was still smiling, laughing and moreover living.

He was walking checking his bag for the car keys when he bumped into someone who looked in equal hurry. He rubbed his fore-head uttering an “Ouch!!” he looked at the person he had bumped into.
The girl fell on the floor with her stuff fallen around her. Her black hair with soft curls completely hiding her face. She was rubbing her elbow which had bruises due to falling. Om immediately bent down to her and asked, “I am so sorry, I didn’t see you. Are you fine?” he said looking worried, his eyes and voice reflected a genuine concern that showed how much hurt he was when he saw someone in pain due to him. “It is ok, even I didn’t see you” a melodious voice reached his ears and he looked at the owner of that voice, it was then that his eyes met her beautiful black eyes and he felt locked in that beautiful gaze. Her eyes, ears, nose, lips, in fact every small detail about her was so beautifully crafted as if God had taken extra efforts while creating her. Her tiny white bindi perfectly matched her white anarkali, her white jhumkas dancing with the movement of her hand as she rubbed her elbow, no one could resist from such an angelic beauty.
Om composed himself and helped her in getting up. “Aahh” she winced in pain and sat down again. “What happened?” Om sat back with her, he saw a layer of tears in her eyes and he understood something was not fine. “I think I have a sprain in my ankle” she said controlling her tears, preventing them from flowing. “Let me help you” saying so Om forwarded his hand, she looked at his hand and then at him, he smiled at her, she felt relieved and smiled back placing her hand in his. He helped her in walking and made her sit on a nearby bench. “Please wait here, I’ll bring the first-aid from my car” saying so Om left. He returned after five minutes, he took the spray and applied it on her ankle. He closed her eyes and clenched her dupatta tight as the spray left a burning sensation. Om smiled at her antics, “Don’t worry, it will burn for some time but will soon heal”. She opened her eyes.
“Hi, I am Om” saying this Om sat beside her, “Ishana” she replied with a smile. “By the way, what are you doing here at this time?” he asked her, “Actually, I love painting. So I came here to paint this lovely autumn evening” she replied. They both looked at the beautiful sky. “So painting is your hobby” Om started the conversation, “No” was her instant answer, Om looked at her surprised, “Then, painting at this time in such a lonely place”, “No, I didn’t mean that. I mean painting is not just my hobby, it’s my passion, my life” she said clearing his confusion. “Actually, even I am a painter” he told her, “Really” she looked at him from head to toe. “Are you checking me out?” Om said with a grin, “No, I just…” she fumbled with words. Om started laughing, and she looked at him shocked, “Relax, I was just kidding. But really what were you doing?” he controlled his laugh, “I was just checking if this intense look is because you are an artist” she replied. They looked at each other, lost in each other’s eyes, as if something connected them to each other.

“Come I’ll show you something” Om said breaking the eye-lock, he walked ahead and Ishana followed him. He took out the newly made painting from his bag and showed it to Ishana, she looked at the painting and her eyes lit up. She was surprised by the level of perfection the painting displayed, how beautifully every minute detail was conveyed, she couldn’t find words to praise it. “What happened, how is it? You didn’t say anything” Om brought her out of thoughts, “No words can define its beauty. I am just speechless” she smiled at him. “You liked it” Om asked her, “Like, I just loved it” Ishana replied still admiring the painting. “You can keep this with you if you want” Om said seeing her still lost in the painting, “What!!” Ishana looked surprisingly at him, “No, this is your master piece, I cannot keep it” she denied although from inside she really wanted to keep it. “No worries, I know you want to have it. So keep it as a gift” Om said sensing the longing in her eyes, Ishana looked at him shocked, how he knew what she thought, can he read everybody’s mind, she wondered, “Are you sure?” she looked at him for confirmation, Om just nodded and Ishana had a broad smile on her face, “Thank you so much” she replied cheerfully and once again looked at the painting.
Om just smiled at her innocence, he thought not to disturb her moment and quietly left from there. After admiring the painting for some more time, Ishana looked around but didn’t find Om, she ran her eyes everywhere but couldn’t find him, she was sad that he left without telling, but smiled looking at the painting.
She picked up her stuff and arranged her aisle, she looked at the moon and smiled. She started with her painting.
“A small meeting makes a million memories.”
