Anika wiped her tears and opened the door.
“Beta..are you alright? ” Anika’s baba and maa asked her
“Maa…baba…i am fine…i felt nauseating and in that hurry i just ran …you know na maa this door gets locked if i push it with force…i am fine…absolutely fine” Anika replied gulping down her pain
“Anika..your eyes and words are saying two different things…are you sure you are ok?” Om asked suspiciously
“O …you have gone mad ..does eyes speak…eyes are to see not to speak” ..he turned towards Dadi and continued ” that’s why i said Dadi…you should have sent him to proper school” Rudra completed his blabbering
“Shut up Rudra” ShivOm together said
“So Ms.Anika …do you agree for the proposal?” Shivaay asked Anika staring straight into her eyes
“Hmmm…i am ready to marry you Mr.Shivaay Singh Oberoi…i am ready ” Anika closed her eyes bending her head down and spoke in one go controlling her tears
“Perfect…The marraige will happen tomorrow morning in OM” Shivaay gave an other shock
“Tomorrow morning? But how will we arrange everything beta” Anika’s parents asked concerned
“OMM shivaay…first yous decided to marry her…now you are saying tomorrow’s is the marriage…what more shocks have you planned? ” pinky said irritated
“Please listen everyone…i know this is early…but this is needed…this marriage will happen in OM with only both families present…no guests..not even staff of OM…pandit ji will be online on a voice call and chant mantras from online..he will not be present in person..”Shivaay was about to continue
“Shivaay beta…how can this be possible.? Anika is my elder daughter …we had many plans for her marriage ..i am sure she had her own dreams too…and listening your thoughts we are getting scared” Anika’s father retorted
“I have reasons uncle…I don’t want any media coverage about this marriage..and can’t take chance by calling pandit ji at home ….you very well know how media will make this a big issue …once everything settles i will do the required ” he looked at Anika and smirked and continued
” you just need to come and bless us…rest all will be taken care of” Shivaay completed
“Shivaay this is not right…I cannot agree with you” Om tried to convince
“Om , Rudra, dadi…do you all trust me?” Shivaay asked
” more than ourselves ” the trio replied
” then please support me” shivaay spoke
” fine…but you need to make everything done proper after everything settles” Om said
” sure” Shivaay hugged Rudra and Om and turned towards Anika’s family….
Anika walked to him and held his hand…she dragged him to her room and closed the door behind
“How dare you?” Shivaay spoke
“Enough Mr Shivaay Singh Oberoi…what do you think…i agreed because you sent that message? Don’t even try to think like that…i am not scared of all that…i have agreed because i will make you taste your own medicine…remember if you make any further plans of troubling me ..then none would be worst than me..not even you” she warned him in anger
” you are warning me..but wait till tomorrow…you would face something which you wouldn’t have imagined in your dreams” shivaay replied calmly
” we will see Shivaay…what wins your arrogance or my attitude” Anika spoke with equal calmness
OF left from there leaving Anika’s family in a no way round situation…none had sleeps and peace
The next day arrived and as planned by Shivaay everything was arranged…Anika’s family too arrived
Mantras were chanted and Shivaay and Anika did the rituals in presence of both families
The panditji finally said ” ye vivah sampann huan”
Though dissatisfied but Everyone except Pinky, Shivaay and Anika were happy
Shivaay held Anika’s hand and came near her…
” you said you will make me taste my own medicine…but before you plan i act…you know why i did marriage like this..because i will be leaving you at this moment…on your fate …you are married to me…but none expect the family members know…you cannot marry anyone else while i will not accept your wife…you will be in your maternal home as a burden on your parents” he whispered
Anika’s got a jolt with his words
” what happened Ms Anika..No ..correction ..Mrs Anika Shivaay Singh Oberoi…i promised you , you will come into this house , my life but will never enjoy the property which you eyed for…I promised..i fulfilled” he concluded , leaving her hand, removing the ghatbandhan and walking from there
” Anika think…think something to stop this disaster…you cannot be a burden on your parents…you cannot loose in front of this person…act fast..prove him what you said yesterday” Anika thoughts ran
Saumya came to Anika and hugged her….Anika reciprocated the hug and they both cried
“Saumya…why are you crying? Your didi will be going back with you today ..infact now” shivaay said
“Billu…have you decided to give shock treatment to all of us…she is your wife now..and it’s her right to stay here..why will she go back ?” Dadi reprimanded Shivaay
“Dadi…relax…even I don’t want to send her..but I cannot deny her wish too…” shivaay spoke
“Anika’s wish ?” Dadi questioned
” yes dadi…You know she is pregnant and she wanted to be with her mother till the baby arrives..i mean every women wants to get pampered in their maternal home during pregnancy and Anika is no different…she was saying the same a while ago…so how can i deny her first wish after marriage ” Shivaay explained
” Anika puttar..is Billu saying truth? ” Dadi asked Anika
” woh Dadi.. mein …” Anika looked at Shivaay and then at Dadi , she didn’t want to lie
” Dadi …she is feeling ” Shivaay tried to interfere when Dadi cut him off
” i can understand your problem Anika…this happens with every gal..if you would want to go with your family then you can..but before that we need to complete few more rasams…till then will you stay back? ” Dadi held ger chin and spoke
Anika took a sigh of relief and nodded ” thank you Dadi…i will get somemore time to stop this arrogant man’s action” she thanked dadi in her heart
