Hi all! So it’s a new day and I’m back with another review. Today I’ll try to be concise (emphasis on the “try”lol) and will only share my general opinions about the scenes, because I’m a little under the weather and I was saddened after the writer of the show basically confirmed that we won’t see our Janab Dottu/Baby Rai Singhania…In a tweet earlier today, when one fan asked, if Dottu would be born, the head writer replied, “Abhi duniya safe nhi h, kya karna h aake. Hospitals ki kami bhi h.” (Right now the world is not safe, so what’s the point of coming. There is also a shortage/lack of hospitals). Perhaps, he was just joking, but you know how the saying goes, “behind every joke there’s a hint of truth”…Suffice to say, I’m disappointed and it still behooves me that the writers would have RIddhima be pregnant for over 60 episodes, only for her to later miscarry (again I know there’s a pandemic, but it’s not like the baby has to be born tomorrow and there is a such things as toy babies lol)…then again, I may just be overreacting, but let’s see…I’m mentally preparing myself for this eventuality (I know I’m silly and sound like a broken record at this point, but it’s just my opinion haha).

In any case, today’s episode was rather good, and I have to say Sarah/Kristina really shined throughout…she made me feel genuine sympathy for her when she was talking about how her life got ruined as a result of RIddhima’s betrayal (but did specify what the latter did to her) and she made me laugh when she seduced our “stud muffin” and soft target, Aryan haha…Essentially, today I felt like we saw a hint of the real Gayu that was hidden behind the tough veneer of Sarah. The rest of the episode was nice too…it began with Vansh’s and Vyom’s face-off, where the latter got shot by Sarah. Then Sarah ran off to her room in deep shock that she missed her target. After RIddhima entered Sarah’s room to confront her, we discovered some telling information about the latter…Sarah went to jail and lost her close ones (I’m guessing she meant her lover) as a result of RIddhima’s betrayal and is on medication for some undisclosed illness…Seeing Sarah’s plight and her determination to kill Vansh, RIddhima then resolved to improve her life and give her a new identity within 48 hours or else risk the lives of Vansh, herself, and our sweet Baby Dottu (oh no girl, why did you have to involve the baby in this)! In any case, as Sarah was trying to cover her tracks from the earlier incident in the garden, she tried to seduce Aryan, so that Vansh would not see her doing anything suspicious…suffice to say, this made for one very light-hearted and enjoyable moment,,,plus, I’m liking Aryan a bit more these days! Lastly, as Vangre switched on their Hardy Boys mode and were investigating who shot Vyom, Vansh saw a woman (Gayu) dressed in all black, matching the profile of the alleged shooter, leaving the hotel and frantically ran after her. Once he reached the ground floor, he heard a gunshot and the scene ended…hmm, interesting, very interesting! The precap too suggests that the cat and mouse game between Vyom and Vansh will continue for some time and our poor Angre will have to bear the brunt of their rivalry by being caught up in a drug smuggling case…Ishani’s been relatively pleasant for the past two episodes, but I think this will be enough to awaken the sleeping beast within her haha! Okay, now onto the episode.
1. The Vansh-Vyom confrontation: Okay, so as expected Vansh was saved and our not so poor Vyom was shot by Sarah. Vyom, however, felt that Vansh had tricked him by letting one of his guards shoot him….boy, you can’t even complain, you brought a gun to this fight, so where was your sense of honor then?….Plus, don’t forget that you poisoned Vansh (well allegedly) and then killed Kiara and called the cops to VR mansion to search for her body in order to frame Vansh! In any case, as expected, Vansh did not see Sarah’s face but ran after her…I was excited when he almost pinned her to the ground, but alas, his wretched cell phone rang and he thought it necessary to pick it up at that moment, leaving enough time for Gayu to get away….Seriously Vansh, what is your obsession with your phone (it’s time for an intervention) haha?
2. The RIddhima-Gayu scene: My only question is: what in the world did RIddhima do to Gayu? Honestly, I really liked Gayu’s/Kristina’s acting and backstory in this scene….we really saw a hint of her humanity and old self as she struggled to reconcile how she could manage to miss her target (Vansh)…perhaps, deep inside, she couldn’t actually kill her former bestie’s husband! Also, I wonder what she is taking medication for?….Is she gravely ill and thinks that now is the best time to exact her revenge before she dies (I don’t think Kristina is shooting anymore, so perhaps, Gayu will die as a result of her illness or by Black Mamba of course). Plus, later she tells Riddhima that she wants her to fulfill her end of their new deal within 48 hours, as she doesn’t have much time…girl, where do you have to go in the middle of a pandemic…that’s why I think there’s something wrong with her health, but let’s see! I also liked seeing RIddhima’s concern for Gayu’s well-being in the scene…despite the fact that the latter is trying to kill her husband, when Gayu seemed disoriented on the floor of her room, Riddhima forgot everything and gave her the pills. Additionally, I genuinely felt bad for Gayu when she went on her lengthy monologue about how she used to be a good student and simple girl, always defended her friend RIddhima, and had a beautiful future ahead of her, but went to jail, was tortured by fellow inmates, lost her lover/close ones, had to bear the stigma of being a murderer, and is now being hunted by criminals and the police alike, all because of RIddhima….what could our RIddhima have done to make her like this? I’m sure it’s all a big misunderstanding, but then, why did RIddhima not try to explain herself and even though she looked sad at seeing Gayu’s state, she didn’t seem as sympathetic as I thought she would be…hmm, something isn’t right there? My heart also broke when Gayu said that she could have had a loving husband and family life like RIddhima has, but basically her dreams shattered when she was made into an assassin/murderer all because of RIddhima…here we saw a flash of the old Gayu, who probably had very simple dreams like RIddhima had before she met Kabir. In any case, in order to protect Vansh, RIddhima made a deal with Gayu…she would give her a new identity (so she wouldn’t be caught by the police or criminals), money, and a comfortable life in exchange for Vansh’s life…girl, how are you supposed to do that without Vansh’s help? Also, Gayu added that Riddhima had to fulfill her end of the bargain within 48 hours (in exchange for Vansh’s life) or the former would kill Vansh, Dottu, and her….again, why do you have to drag the baby in all of this? Let’s see what happens on this end….I feel even if RIddhima fulfills her end of the deal, Gayu may double cross her and either harm Vansh or most probably Dottu. Or, perhaps, Riddu will fulfill her deal, but Gayu may die either because of her illness or by Black Mamba, but may give Riddhima a hint about who Black Mamba is before she dies (like Sarah said before, she never met the villain, but she may some idea of who that person is based on any conversation or exchanges that they have shared). In any case, I’m excited to see what RIddhima did to Gayu and how the latter’s story will develop or end…but please don’t go after Dottu…it’s a humble request lol!
3. The Sarah-Aryan/Vansh scene: As Sarah went back to collect her hoodie, she saw Vansh was heading in her direction and in order to not seem suspicious, she went closer to Aryan and tried to seduce him…..Honestly, it’s better that she tried to just seduce him, than plant the hoodie in his chair…I really thought Vansh was going to suspect Aryan of some wrongdoing, but gladly our soft target wasn’t framed this time haha! I cracked up when she placed her finger on the “stud muffin’s” lips and then told him to close his eyes, bringing him in closer to kiss her…the poor boy, thinking himself to be very attractive and surprised by Gayu’s wild side, excitedly leaned in closer to kiss her. But alas, when Gayu saw that Vansh had left the area, she made a quick exit, leaving Aryan to have some lip action…with a pillar! And Ishani, being a classic, annoying sister, came at the right time to record Aryan kissing the pole….she said that didn’t see Gayu there and poor Aryan was left to think that he was delusional or had been drinking too much…Honestly, not that I’m “falling for Aryan” like both Kiara and Gayu claimed before, but with every passing day, I’m starting to understand his POV more…even though he is actually good for nothing, he doesn’t get that much respect from the family…even Dadi used to say that he was a drunkard and delusional too haha. Also, both Ishani and Aryan were surprisingly pleasant in this scene and have been for the past few episodes….I don’t mind them being villains, but the writers should definitely optimize on them providing comic relief, especially since our Chanchal Chachi is not here at the moment….Aryan definitely has to have a funny bone in him, if he’s his mother’s son haha!
4. The Vangre scene: Wow, Vangre are like the “Hardy Boys” detectives or Vansh was a shoe cobbler before becoming a mafioso…how did he know that the shooter’s footprint was that of a woman’s and what the average show size of the Indian man is haha? Plus, Angre informed Vansh that Gayu was the only one that checked into the hotel individually…he then became suspicious of her. In any case, while Vansh smartly deduced that the mysterious shooter was a woman, Sarah correctly surmised that Vansh probably found a clue about her identity and what she was up to. She then tried to make her great escape by donning another black hoodie, but Vansh noticed a mysterious figure (who fit the bill of the shooter) walking away and quickly followed her….Rrahul really is getting a work out these days…first he had to run a marathon through the hotel to reach the lobby in time to stop Vyom, and today he had to do the same thing to stop Sarah haha. In any case, once Vansh reached the ground floor, he heard a gunshot from a distance, and the scene ended….I’m guessing that Sarah will shoot herself (there was an old BTS image of Kristina with a bullet wound on her arm)…perhaps she’ll say the shooter shot her and ran away…thereby gaining Vansh’s sympathy/avoiding suspicion and getting more TLC from Aryan (not that Sarah was asking for it haha)!
5. The Precap: So apparently, Vyom is all in his feeling about being shot in the leg, and now is saying that this incident has ramped up his ennemity with Vansh…again, you tried to poison Vansh, frame him for murder, steal his diamonds/fortune, and allegedly kidnapped his sister…I’m pretty sure you’re more in the wrong than Vansh is. Also, nowadays Vyom is looking like a pathetic giraffe (although giraffes are cute)…he needs to have a shave and haircut lol…Vansh is right, “first learn to stand up properly before coming after my empire.” In any case, our poor Angre (though I’m still watching you boy), is going to be suspected of dealing drugs by the cops…hmm, this has Vyom written all over it (no one else has a direct enmity with Angre besides Vyom, or it could be Sarah and she wants Angre to be away, so there’s no one to protect Vansh, as she plots to kill him). …However, I think she put her plan to kill Vansh on hold, until Riddhima fulfills her bargain. Or Angre could have developed this plan himself (if he’s Black Mamba) to then be able to meet Vyom and plot against Vansh…let’s see what happens. Also, interestingly enough, the lady who bumped into Angre and slipped him the drugs, seems like one of the crew members that I’ve seen before in BTS videos (I think she fed Rrahul an omelette once…how do I know all of this haha)…I could be wrong, but I like the idea of crew members getting their screen debuts (even if it’s just their backside), because they can’t have many outsiders on set right now lol.
6. FInal thoughts: Okay, I again wrote more than I expected to…apparently being concise is not in my dictionary. In any case, though this episode didn’t have a beautiful RIansh scene, it was pleasant nonetheless. I especially liked Gayu’s angle and want to see how her storyline develops, regardless of how long she remains in the series. Plus, I’m still nervous about Dottu…the baby’s future is not looking too bright. However, as the saying goes, “umeed pe duniya kayam hai” (the world runs on/is dependent on hope…okay, that’s a very literal translation, but you get the point…I’m just going to hold out hope for Janab Dottu haha). That being said, I’m also excited about where the IMM2 team will shoot next..let’s see. Till then, take care and see next time!
