Hi all! I’m back with another review and I must say I did enjoy the episode a lot. It’s true it wasn’t a perfect episode in that it went from 0 to 60 or rather 60 to 0 within a few minutes…in the first half of it, Vansh was at death’s doorstep reminiscing about his past and in the second half, they flash forwarded to a week later when the family was taking a relaxing holiday at the VR Hotel and Residences in Goa….Bem-vindo (Welcome) to Goa guys and girls! Nevertheless, the episode was exciting and provided some unexpected twists and turns…Vansh survived (which was expected), but Vyom survived (which was unexpected)…I actually felt Vyom’s track would end in Mumbai, but no, he’ll continue to menace our RIansh and the Rai Singhanias for some time to come. In any case, the family (minus Anupriya, Siya, and our comedy queen Chanchal Chachi) finally reached Goa, so I was excited and dancing when they showed the aerial shots of the beach….it’s been too long since I’ve had a vacation, so I’m going to live vicariously through the characters haha. Overall, the episode was enjoyable and filled with some emotional Riansh moments, a beautiful VAngre conversation (these boys….what can I say about them), Dadi uncovering the contents of the infamous black box, a Vangre/RIddhima/Vyom confrontation/action scene, a very unnecessary ISHAngre scene, and concluded with an always welcome and romantic RIansh moment! The precap also features the new entry, who I believe will turn out to be either Vyom’s wife or Vansh’s business partner that Vyom was trying to sway to his side….let’s see but I’m excited! Lastly, where is our Kabutar….it’s been too long man! Okay, now onto the episode:
1. The Vyom scene: Oh Vyom, too much overconfidence is not good for anyone…I’m happy that you got to laugh a bit while clutching the antidote before Angre beat you up and you ran away like a little mouse later on in the episode…You do embody your name…Vyom…circle…shuniya (0)…yes, mon ami (my friend), you’re a 0!
2. The Riansh escape scene: As always, this Riansh “parting” scene touched my heart. The dialogues captivated me, especially when Vansh said, “RIddhima, I only ever loved you (while placing his hand on RIddhima’s face). And when our Vansh (Dottu) comes/is born, tell him that his father was not a bad man. RIddhima, tell him that maybe his deeds/actions can seem bad to people, but he himself is not a bad person/man.” ….These lines really made me emotional because although Vansh wanted his child to know all of this, I think he was just echoing what he felt about himself…I think Vansh struggled for a long time trying to reconcile being a good person (but greatly misunderstood by others), with his bad/morally questionable actions and profession….it was nice to get an insight into Vansh’s thoughts about himself for once. Also, I think Vansh saw himself as a monster (or a bad person because others viewed him like that) as evidenced by how he once told RIddhima, “I ruin whomever’s life I enter,” but in his final moments, he finally realized his own humanity/goodness. Also, just as a side note, does Vansh really expect Dottu to take over the family business?….Why would you want your child to live a life of danger and crime like that…just saying? Going back to the scene, RIddhima’s panicked and emotional reaction was heart-breaking and touching….the girl has been through such an emotional rollercoaster…luckily she’ll get a break in Goa (but not for long)! Also, sorry, but I never got this “tujhe meri kasam” concept…Vansh told RIddhima that she had to leave and said “tujhe meri kasam” (swear on me)…and RIddhima was shocked that he said that and felt like she was bound/compelled to leave…apparently the melodramatic ITV influence is still looming over the show lol. In any case, it wasn’t such a big deal, but I just found it funny that after bearing so much emotional torture from Vansh to be with him, putting up with his wretched family, seeing him “die” once before, and working with Vyom to betray the family in order to save her husband, RIddhima would just agree to leave Vansh (albeit begrudingly), just because he said “tujhe meri kasam” lol…oh well, I suppose the makers needed to just give us an emotional parting between the two lovers, so that RIddhima could make her re-entry later on and deliver the antidote to Vansh. In any case, Vansh being the classic lover boy that he is, had to plant one last kiss on Riddhima…here his wife was crying her eyes out at the thought of him dying and he was thinking about romance (oh our naughty Vansh) haha! In any case, whenever they show flashbacks of how RIansh’s love story evolved (with the IMM2 romantic BGM playing) and the scene where he said long ago, “If I’m with you, then no problem/danger in this world can even come near you, let alone touch you,” I become really emotional, despite having been certain that Vansh would survive…what has this series done to me lol?
3. The VAngre scene: You know I realized that I’ve been investing my time in the wrong love story all along….we’ve long fawned over Riansh and to some extent KaVa, but today’s episode showed that the greatest bond in this show is that of VAngre’s…seriously, they’re brothers till the end! Going to the scene, even in Angre’s bruised and half-conscious state, he was murmuring, “Boss, I’ll handle it.”….My poor Angre, my deepest apologies for always doubting you! Also, I love how the makers added a touch of “humor” or at least VAngre laughing at each other like a pair of buddies…I loved when Vansh came into the room and laughed while saying (upon seeing Angre tied up and beaten), “you’re looking really handsome.” Again, Angre’s only concern was Vansh, and asked, “are you alright, boss.” And Vansh added a mild jab at Ishani by saying, “and Ishani wasn’t able to see your condition”….even Vansh knows that his little sis would go psycho upon seeing Angre like that….honestly, you boys are better off dying at the hands of Vyom than surviving and having to bear Ishani’s wrath haha! I really liked how the boys were laughing while reminiscing on all the times that they danced with death in exotic locations and with foreign enemies in the past. We also saw Angre’s deep admiration for Vansh when he was questioning him on how he killed/defeated him past enemies…he really does look up to Vansh like a big brother! I absolutely adored Zayn’s acting and Angre’s little monologue: “If we don’t survive today, I won’t have any regrets. Living with you was a big deal for me, and dying with you is an even bigger deal for me. And boss, while dying, I will only have one wish, that in the next life and in every lifetime, you will be my boss.” And Vansh was no less…he too tugged on my heart strings by responding, “Shut up Angre. You’re forgetting that you’re not only my bodyguard, you’re my brother-in-law. And more importantly, you’re not my friend, you’re my brother.” …Oh my god, I was in a puddle of tears, especially when they sealed their exchange with a hug! I absolutely loved this display of fraternity/brotherhood on screen and I think it does even reflect the strong bond that Zayn and Rrahul share off-screen! Interestingly enough, though Vansh was so adamant about RIddhima leaving him, he never asked Angre to do the same…they seemed happy and carefree to be dying together…how sweet! Though I wonder, if RIddhima wasn’t pregnant, would Vansh have let her stay/die with him? In any case, the magic of this scene was ruined by Vyom’s re-entry! Though I find Vyom to be really annoying, I did enjoy Ankit’s acting, especially in how he was reenacting the future media coverage of Vansh’s death (by suicide as he was incapable of handling his business empire)….great job Ankit! That being said, I cracked up when Vyom said, “Now give me that black box, brother.”,….Boy, if Vansh wanted to give you that black box to save his life, wouldn’t he have already given it to you lol? Also, where is he supposed to pull it out from?…It’s clearly not with him! Additionally, in this scene, Vyom revealed that there are some people who are very close to Vansh, who could find out where the black box is….I hope when Vansh recuperates, he realizes that someone in his family is working with Vyom. Also, it was nice to see Vyom’s desperation to get the black box after VAngre were mocking him and assuring him that he would never get it!
4. The Dadi-black box scene: I find it strange how Dadi, who didn’t even know yet if Vansh was alive or not, would still be so focused on discovering the contents of the black box…but I suppose this was her only chance to open it, especially if Vansh would later come back alive. Also, look at Dadi go, she opened the box in one try…I don’t know why Vansh was so hesitant to enter the sixth digit before! In any case, at first, she had a very irritated expression on her face because she thought that Vyom had been bluffing all along about the boxes’ contents (it only had information related to the international underworld), but who knew that our “cher ami” (dear friend) Vyom was actually telling the truth…the scene ended with Dadi seeming like she got a 440 volt shock…apparently, her secret was actually in the black box! Now the question remains, what will she do with it! I can’t imagine her giving the box to Vyom…he probably doesn’t even know that she has it. Perhaps, she could just erase her secret from it…though there wasn’t even a keyboard on it, so I don’t know how that’s possible, or she can destroy the box all together (perhaps that’s a happy medium…in this way, Vansh’s business secrets won’t be leaked either).
5. The RIddhima/Vyom/VAngre confrontation: Okay, I was a fool for thinking that RIddhima would actually leave her man like that (not after everything that they’ve been through) lol. Also, I’m sure she would rather have Vansh die in her arms rather than Angre’s lol. In any case, our girl being the fighter that she is, saved her man with some help from Angre too. She pushed Vyom aside and managed to sneak the antidote from him and throw it to Vansh (good catch Vansh)! Also, Angre did his part too and threw Vyom to the ground and disarmed him…great high kick Angre…that just saved your life lol! It was such a treat seeing Vyom getting beaten up by Angry Angre and then scurrying away for his life. Luckily, RIddhima gave Vansh the antidote in the nick of time….and we all know what happens next! I also liked how this part of the episode/poisoning track ended (though I still don’t think Kiara did it…RIP girl) because here Vansh saved Angre/Riddhima and they (being his everlasting protectors) did the same for him…it seems to be the general pattern of things…they are constantly saving one another…In any case, I’m loving this trio (RIanshGre)! Now if the makers want to make me really happy, in classic soap opera fashion, can they make Angre RIddhima’s long-lost brother (maybe that’s hoping for too much but what’s the harm in asking lol)?
6. The Goa entrance scene: Yay, we’re in Goa y’all (I was dancing along to the music)…okay maybe not us, but at least the characters can enjoy themselves a bit and we can get a change of scenery away from that wretched VR mansion! And as expected, our Vansh made his grand entrance along with the other family members, who also got new and comfortable outfits! Plus, Dadi’s little pink floppy hat was too cute lol (and she was flashing her classic smile and seemed happy like the old Dadi…yay). Sadly, or maybe happily, Siya, Anupriya, and Chachal Chachi (I’m kind of missing her) didn’t come along for the ride….though hmmm, Anupriya in Mumbai and so is Kabir supposedly, so maybe when RIansh come back home they’ll have to deal with the evil mother-son duo again! In any case, I found it funny that here we had two loving couples (Ishangre/RIansh) and then there was Aryan and Dadi….poor Aryan, now that his girlfriend’s dead and he’s unlikely to find another woman at the resort due to the pandemic/less tourists, he’ll have to spend his time with Dadi haha!
7. The IshAngre scene: Okay, so in my opinion, this scene was so unnecessary haha. On the one hand, I’m genuinely happy for Angre that he’s found “love”…though I still don’t understand what he sees in Ishani, but if he’s happy, then I’m happy haha. On the other hand, I just can’t stand Ishani, so sometimes I have 0 interest in seeing the Ishangre romance scenes. In any case, I’m happy that after suffering so much, Angre can relax and be romanced by his wife, even if she happens to be Ishani. Also, I don’t get why Ishani said, “we never even went on a honeymoon” (a plot inconsistency)….Vansh sent them on a honeymoon for 1-2 weeks (when Chandini was diagnosed with Covid)…though I suppose it wasn’t an actual honeymoon because they weren’t intimate and all, but the boy still took you somewhere lol! Also, Ishani for her part was somewhat tolerable in this scene in that while she did get annoyed at Angre for risking his life for RIansh, she did not descend to her usual devilish shriek/she-devil mode! But Angre (who is now learning how to handle his wife, which is a difficult feat to say the least) gentilly and playfully calmed Ishani down…plus, I liked seeing Ishani’s concern for Angre when he removed his cast/bandage.
8. The RIansh scene: Honestly, nowadays whenever I see RIddhima deep in thought (and especially today when she was looking out onto the street), I get concerned…what is the girl hiding? But again, Vansh distracted RIddhima (and me) with his words….”If I had died that day RIddhima, I would have left with the sadness that I wouldn’t ever see my face in your beautiful eyes (and then he kissed her hand)….your scent, which makes me forget everything, I wouldn’t have been able to be lost in it…and most of all, the symbol of our love, our baby (Dottu), I wouldn’t have been able to see him.” …Vansh you stole my heart with your words! However, though we need some respite from all the tension that we faced at the beginning of the episode, I was a little concerned when they showed that flash photography and cued that intense music at Vansh’s mention of the baby ….again, I think the child is safe, but I really hope nothing happened to it when RIddhima was in the jungle/is related to the 6 hours mystery. In any case, like the characters, I’m going to choose to take a break from all of this tension and stop over analyzing things. Also, I loved how the scene ended with Vansh taking Riddhima into his arms and saying that, “now regardless of what happens, I won’t let us separate/let you go away from me,”….Please Vansh, if you do get angry at RIddhima for the 6 hours secret later on, remember your own words!
9. The Vyom scene: So apparently Vyom/Ankit did make it to Goa and the saga continues! I wasn’t really expecting this, but was happy to have Ankit (not Vyom) around, just because I do appreciate his acting! I was really hoping that Kabir would make his re-entry in Goa, but now it seems unlikely…he may just be waiting for Riansh in Mumbai and hatching a big plan with his mommy dearest over there! Or maybe Vishal is just keeping a low-profile like Ankit and is actually in Goa or will come later on…I think they both had Covid recently, so it’s best if they aren’t spending their time frolicking on the beach and making BTS videos with the rest of the cast lol! In any case, now I’m actually concerned about what Vyom will plan (we saw how evil he was, even in his treatment with RIddhima while she was pregnant) and am worried for RIansh, Dottu, and even Dadi (provided that she’s reformed)!
10. The Precap: Yay, another Riansh romance scene is coming our way! But Vansh…how can you give your pregnant wife truth serum? That’s just so wrong..do you want RIddhima to leave you? And so, the new girl in the flashback’s name is Tara (if I heard correctly)….I feel either she’s going to be Vyom’s wife or Vansh’s business associate with whom Vyom was talking to two episodes ago…also, even in yesterday’s episode before Dadi walked in, Vansh was upset after talking to someone on the phone because they said his associate smuggled ammunitions through some route, despite Vansh telling him not to do so…I think this mystery person will have a bigger angle later on/turn out to be this girl…but who knows.
11. Concluding comments: Overall, today’s episode was really good and more importantly, the long awaited Goa track is finally here! Though, I’m sad that Kabir is nowhere in sight, at least we’ll have Vyom and the new girl to keep us occupied and annoyed lol, plus some beautiful, romantic RIansh moments, and mildly tolerable Ishangre scenes to keep us entertained! However, it’s my humble request to the makers that please DO NOT introduce any new mysteries in Goa….we have too many already to send our minds spinning: What happened in the jungle (and is our Dotttu safe…I know he is but I can’t help but worry lol)? Who is the new girl? Who’s Vansh’s mystery business associate? What’s Dadi’s secret? Where’s Kabir? Who’s Vyom’s accomplice within the Rai Singhania family? And who killed Kiara and poisoned Vansh (though I think the makers just really forgot about/abruptly ended these angles lol)? In any case, I’m super excited about what’s to come and can’t wait for tomorrow’s episode! TIll next time and my sincerest apologies for writing way too much today…thanks y’all for your patience!
