Ishq hai…ya kuch aur…Episode 4

I know I am too late…Sorry..

I had to go to Kerala for Christmas vacation. And my in laws came with us to stay for a while…And when they left, Ammu’s exams started…So had no time to write…

Doctors are operating Twinkle. Kunj, Yuvi, Alisha and Sanjay are waiting outside.

After 2 hours..

Yuvi comes to Kunj, takes him to a corner and is whispering in his ears…

Yuvi: Bhai, me chalta hun…Aur late ho gaya to, hostel  band ho jayega…vaise bhi yahan baitke jag ke kya kerna hain…Doctors ko jo kerna hain,vo andar ker rehe hain…Me tuje kal subah milne aa jaunga…

(I think I should leave now. There is no point in waiting here. Anyways, Doctors are there to take care of her..I will be back by morning.)

Kunj: Kamine…muje iss haal me chod ke jaa reha hain… (How can you leave me at this situation?)

Yuvi: Tere paas aur koi rasta nahi hai rukne ke alawa…Ye logon ke hisab se teri girlfriend ki surgery ho reha hai… (I wish you could come with me. As per them, it is your girlfriend who is getting operated..You have no option other than staying back.)

Kunj: To…tera bhi bhabhi  ki surgery ho rehi hain…Kahin nahi jaa reha hain tu…Acha nahi lagta pagle… (So are you…As per them, it is your bhabhi too…You are not going anywhere…if you leave, they will have a bad impression of you…which I can’t tolerate…)

Yuvi looks at him pathetically to leave him and Kunj holds his hands more tightly and take him back to the door.

Sanjay was not able to hear anything. But he noticed that Yuvi took Kunj away and were talking.

Sanjay: What’s the matter?

Kunj: He was telling me that he will inform hostel authorities that we both are staying in friend’s house…

Sanjay: Don’t take me wrong…I found you both were kinda arguing.

Kunj: Ohh…yaa…I was convincing him to go back and come tomorrow. He being a good friend, was insisting to stay back with me..Finally I had to agree…

Sanjay: Good..That’s what friends are for…

Kunj: To calm and compose me, at this situation…if at all I break down, though I won’t…he can only do that..He clearly knows that…

Yuvi smiles at Sanjay and turns to hug Kunj.

Yuvi (Hugging Kunj): Anytime Bhai…tere liye kuch bhi… (And whispers in his ears…)Kaminee… (Anything for you my friend…(And whispers in his ears…)Kaminee…)

3 hours later…

Twinkle’s operation is still going on…Sanjay and Alisha has sat down in chairs. They are sitting away from the operation theatre…But they can see the operation theatre from far and can go there immediately if needed.

Kunj: Badi bhuk lagi hain, Me kuch khane ko le aata hun…Kamse kam wafers toh mil hi jayenge canteen me iss time pe… (I am hungry…I will bring something to eat…I hope at least wafers will be available at this time.)

Yuvi stops him forcefully and hugs him.

Yuvi: Kaunsa  boyfriend  apne girlfriend ke critical condition pe, operation theatre ke bahar baithke wafers khata hain? Bhul gaya? (Idiot, your girlfriend is getting operated and you are going to have wafers? Are you out of your mind?)

Kunj: Haan yaar…Bhook se jaan ja rehi thi toh, acting vacting sab bhul gaya… (Thanks yaar…it just slipped out of my mind…)

Yuvi: Bhuk toh muje bhi lagi hain…Per kya kare…Vo CBI  Sanjay  vahan baith ke hum pe nazar rekh reha hain…Door zaroor hain, per aankein hum pe gaadke baitha hua hain… (I am also hungry… But what to do? CBI Sanjay is always behind us. He is sitting away from us, but his eyes are on us.)

Kunj: Kaunse kitab me likha hai ki apne fiancé ke operation jab tak nahi hote, tab tak aap khana nahi kha saktey… (I can’t handle this anymore…Where the hell it is written that you can’t have anything if your fiancé’s surgery is going on…)

Yuvi: Likha toh kahi nahi hain, Per tera abhi ka image sudharne ke liye hame ye sehna padega… (Hmm.. It is not wirtten anywhere…But right now we have to concentrate on clearing your image..)

Kunj: Ek kaam ker…Tu canteen ja aur kuch le aa…Aur muje thoda force kerna aur fir me bhi khalunga… Fir usko bhi shak nahi hoga… (Hey, we can do this…Go and grab something from canteen. You force me to eat them…Then they won’t have doubt and we both can eat…What’s say?)

Yuvi: ye sahi hain… (Nice yaar)

Yuvi goes out and brings snacks and tea and offers Sanjay and Alisha.

Yuvi: Usse kuch khilane ki khoshish kerta hun…Khayega toh nahi…Per  try kerta hun…Kal tak usse kuch ho na jaaye…Bohut pareshan hai Twinkle ko leke… (I will try to make him eat.. I know he won’t..He is damn worried about Twinkle. I hope he doesn’t collapse..)

Sanjay: Khilane ka try kero…Tum usse behter samjha saktey ho… (I know…You try…You can convince him better…)

Yuvi leaves and convinces Kunj and makes him eat..

Sanjay: Acha hua vo Yuvi rukh gaya… (Thank god, Yuvi stayed back…)

Alisha: Hmm

Sanjay: Usko kitne ache se sambhal reha hai…Mujse toh bilkul bhi nai hota… Pehli baat usko janta nahi hun…Uper se kuch aur hi soch reha tha uske bare me abhi tak… (Yuvi is taking care of Kunj very well…I don’t think I could do that..First of all, I don’t know Kunj personally and secondly I had a different impression of him altogether…)

Alisha: Vahi na…Uspe kya guzar reha hai vahi jaane… Aur hum kuch bhi bakwaas soch rehe the… (Hmm…We can’t even imagine the pain which he is going through…We were thinking nonsense…)

After few more hours…

Operation is completed and Twinkle is shifted to ICU for observation.

Sanjay, Yuvi and Kunj go to meet doctor.

Kunj: How’s she? She will be fine, right? She can talk? She can identify people?

Yuvi holds Kunj’s hand to stop him.

Kunj was eager to know her condition. He just wanted Twinkle to identify him as an unknown person and then he can leave from this mess after clearing everything.

Doctor: We have done our part. Next 24 hours are critical. Let’s hope she responds to the medication. Pray for her.

Yuvi takes Kunj out and whispers while taking…

Yuvi: I understand you want to get out of this situation as soon as possible. But, have patience.

Kunj: Hmm

Yuvi: Itna wait kiya hai toh thoda aur sahi…Jaldbaazi me kuch aisa na kerde ki hum pakde jaaye…Vo bhi iss waqt… (Hold on…Have patience…We can’t afford to get caught at this stage…)

Doctor (To Sanjay as Yuvi has taken Kunj out): One person can go and meet her. She’s unconscious.

Sanjay: Thank you..

Sanjay came out from doctor’s cabin.

Sanjay: Kunj, go and meet her.

Alisha: I also want to meet her.

Sanjay: Alisha, Doctor has permitted only one…Kunj ka hum sabse pehle haq banta hain..Jao Kunj… (Kunj wants to meet her the most…I know that…)

Kunj leaves to ICU.

Kunj opens the door. He could see white walls and some medical equipments connected to the patient (Twinkle) from far…He walks towards her..He could sense something weird is happening to him. He is going to meet a girl who is considered to be his everything by rest, yet he doesn’t know her…

Kunj comes out.

Kunj: Yuvi, tu chal.. (Let’s go…)

Yuvi: Kahan? (Where?)

Kunj walks from there and Yuvi had no choice other than following him.

Yuvi: Hua kya hai batayega? (What happened?)

Kunj: Pata nahi…Per kuch ajeeb sa lag reha tha…Ek aisi ladki jisse sab meri girlfriend bol rehe hai…Aur me usse jaanta bhi nahi hun…Life bhi kitna ajeeb hain…Aaj uska sabse apna banke vahan uske paas khada tha me… (I don’t know…I feel weird…A girl, who is considered as my girl friend, my everything…and I don’t know her at all…Life is so weird…At this point of time, when she needs her loved ones the most…I am standing just next to her being her love, her  partner…)

Yuvi: Kaisi hai? (How’s she?)

Kunj: Pata nahi…kuch samaj nahi aa reha tha…Bus ek nazar dekh paaya… (I don’t know…I just had a glance of her…I was numb, I guess..)

Yuvi: Hmm

Kunj: Aisa lag reha tha, jaise vo so rehi hain…Itni peace, itni innocence maine isse pehle sirf chote bache ke chehre pe dekha hai…Aisa lag reha tha, jaise patton pe giri huyi ek dew drop…Darr tha kahi gir na jaaye… ( I felt she is in deep sleep…The kind of peace and innocence, I found in her face can’t be explained..It was like of a small baby sleeping…I felt like..as if she is a dew drop on leaf…about to fall down…Was scared that it will fall down…)

Yuvi: Tuje hua kya hai? Bol kya reha hai tu? (What? I mean what are you saying?)

Kunj gets into senses…

Kunj: I mean I felt she is as innocent as a dew drop…

Yuvi: Ooo…To dikhne me innocent hai…matlab kisine tere naam se usse phasaya hoga… (So you felt she is an innocent girl…Which means someone has cheated her using your name…)

Kunj: Shayad… (Probably)
