CHAPTER 5a
RAICHAND MANSION
Next day evening
All are getting ready for the award function.. Arjun goes to Mithra..
Arjun: Mithu, did you do as I said??
Mithra: Yes, bhaiya.. It’s done.. You don’t worry.. I won’t disappoint my dearest brother..
Arjun: (kisses her forehead and hugs her) Thank you, sweetheart.. I will be the happiest man today..
Mithra: You don’t have to mention it.. It’s my duty as a sister for my brother and sister..
They turn to leave but surprised to see Daadi and Swetlana who are giving questioning look to them.. ArMi gave a fake smile to them..
Daadi: What you both are planning secretly??
Arjun: What secret?? It’s nothing.. Nothing.. No secret.. (started to blabbers) Right, Mithu??
Mithra: (puzzles) Yes, daadi.. No secret at all..
Swet: No, daadi.. Definitely this two are planning something.. Yesterday also, they had a secret talk..
Arjun: No, bhabhi.. We don’t plan anything.. We just discuss about the function..
Swet (folding her hands): Function?? What is there in the function?? Tell us.. We too want to know..
Arjun and Mithra are speechless with their bhabhi’s interrogation.. Ranveer comes to them..
Ranveer: Actually, Arjun planned a surprise at the award function..
Swet: Surprise?? What surprise??
Ranveer: Surprise means surprise.. There is no surprise if we tell the surprise.. You will know it later.. Now, just go and get ready.. We are getting late..
Swet: I hope you didn’t do anything that will create trouble for us..(and left with daadi)
Three of them sighed in relief and give thumbs up to each other..
The guys got ready first and waiting for the ladies at hall.. One by one came down.. Siddharth and RaDuKa mesmerized seeing their beautiful wives.. They stare their wives with open-mouthed.. Arjun closed Siddharth and Raghav’s mouth by pushes their chins up.. Ranveer too does the same with Dushyanth and Karan.. Ishana and Madhu chuckle seeing the guys.. Arjun and Ranveer look at Ishana and shake their hands at their back..
The guys praise all the ladies after they reach downstairs.. However, they didn’t praise Ishana because they know that she don’t like any compliment.. So, they just said ‘nice’ to her.. Ranveer looks at daadi and starts to flirt with her..
Ranveer: Woww!! Daadi, you are looking gorgeous today.. No one can say you are our daadi.. You look like our aunty..(all laughed hearing this)
Daadi (twists his ear): Shameless fellow!! You are flirting with me in front of my grandchildren.. I’ll make complain to police for eve teasing..
Ranveer (holding his ear in pain): Awww!! So mean, daadi.. You are threatening an ex police officer..
Daadi: I’ll do the same even if you are still a police officer..
Sid: Ok, guys.. Continue your fight after we are back from function.. Now, let’s move..
All get in the cars that arranged by Ranveer.. Arjun, Ranveer, Ishana, Madhu and Daadi in one car.. SidLana and NiRag in one car.. DushTi and MiKar in one car..
OBEROI MANSION
All the Oberois also getting ready for the function.. Actually, at first only the youngsters are supposed going to the function.. But, at last minute the elders to decide to join them as well.. Shivaay can’t say no to his family.. So, he agrees to them.. Luckily, the table that booked for him is big enough for his family..
All dressed elegantly for the award function except Omkara.. He just wear a simple shirt with pants.. The Oberois leave for the function..
Hotel Sea Princess
Both of the families reach the hotel but they didn’t see each other.. They walk towards the ballroom where the award giving ceremony going to held..
Rudra: Ballroom?? Are we going to dance there??
Shivaay: This ballroom not only for dance.. It can be used for functions too.. It’s quite big enough.. And there will be some dance performances too..
They enter the ballroom and sit at the table allocated for their family.. The Oberois just seated three tables away from Savitri and family.. There is still half an hour left for the function starts.. The youngsters decide to have a look on the hotel.. Omkara stays with Kalyani daadi, TejVi and ShaNky.. Ishana and Madhu stay with Savitri daadi.. After a while, Madhu felt uncomfortable and tell Ishana..
Madhu: Ishu, I want to go to washroom for a while..
Ishu: I also will come with you..(they tell their daadi and leave from there)
Omkara get a call and he excused himself and goes out to answer the call.. Ishana is waiting for Madhu at the corridor.. She saw a fountain and walks towards it.. She doesn’t notice water spilled on the floor.. She steps on it and slipped but someone holds her hand.. She steadied herself and look at the person..
Person: Be careful, miss..
Ishu: Thank you..
Person: No need to thank me.. It’s my pleasure to save a beautiful girl from falling down..
Ishana is surprised with this statement that too from a stranger.. She thought to lash him back but her heart refused her doing so.. She decides to play with him as well..
Ishu: So, you find me as beautiful, Mr….?
Person: Rudra… Rudra Singh Oberoi.. (extends his hand)
Ishu: Nice meeting you, Mr Rudraa.. (hold his hand and shakes)
Rudra: (shocked with the way she addressing him) No..no.. It’s Rudra.. Not Rudraa..
Ishu: That is what I’m saying.. Rudraa!!!
Rudra wants to correct her back but stopped himself.. First time someone pronounce his name differently and he likes it..
Rudra: Fine.. Your good name please??
Ishu: Ishana.. Just Ishana..
Rudra: Nice meeting you, Miss Just Ishana.. And of course you are beautiful.. (Ishana thought he will not stop flirting with me)
Ishu: Many girls must be fell for your words, right??
Rudra: Few years back, many girls fall for my words.. But now, only one girl and that too my beloved wife.. Actually, I was the one fell for her.. (Ishana smiles at his innocence.. She mentally slapped herself for having bad thought on him)
Ishu: Nice meeting you too, Mr. Rudraa..
Rudra: Singh Oberoi..(he reminds her)
Ishu: Yes, Mr Rudraa Singh Oberoi.. (something snapped her mind) You are an Oberoi?? (confirms with him)
Rudra:(confusingly) Of course.. Any doubt??
Ishu: Nope..(In her mind: The Oberois are here too.. Oh, God!!! I don’t know what will happen if Anni and Ranveer see them .. I hope nothing wrong to happen..)
Rudra: (looks at her worried face and snaps his finger at her face.. Ishu come out of her thought) Where were you lost Miss Just Ishana??
Ishu: No where.. I just thought to go to the ballroom.. The function going to start I think..
Rudra: I’m going there too.. We can go together..
Ishu: Actually, I’m waiting for my friend.. You can go first.. (Madhu comes that time)
Madhu: Sorry, Ishu.. I make you wait for long..
Ishu: It’s ok, Madhu.. Meet my new friend Rudraa Singh Oberoi (looking at Rudra) and Mr Rudraa, meet my friend Madhumitha.. (Both of them shake their hands)
Rudra: Nice meeting you, Miss Madhu.. (smiling)
Madhu: (smiles) Same here, Mr Rudraa..
Rudra: I think we can go now..(the trio leave to the ballroom)
Kalyani daadi is looking around the ballroom and her eyes spot someone.. She can’t believe her eyes.. She shows that person to TejVi and ShaNky.. They too got shocked.. Priyanka just came there is bewildered seeing her family walking towards someone who is sitting alone at the table.. She follows them.. Kalyani daadi places her hand on the person’s shoulder.. The person looks at her and stunned seeing them.. She is none other than Savitri daadi..
Kal: Savitri, you!!(teary eyes)
Savi: Bhabhi!!(with happy tears)(Both hug each other)
Kal: (breaking the hug) Where have you been all these years?? We were searching for you but couldn’t find you and your family..
Savi: It’s a long story, bhabhi.. I will tell you later.. (looking at TejVi and ShaNky) How are you all??? You are still looking the same as before..
Pinky: We alls are fines, aunty ji.. But, we are missings you so much..
Savi: Now, I’m here.. We will spend more time together.. And who is this pretty girl?? ( Looking at Priyanka)
Tej: My daughter, Priyanka.. (Priyanka greets her) Aunty ji, what are you doing here alone??
Savi: I’m not alone.. My grandchildren are with me.. They went out a while and will be back now..
Jhanvi: Where are you staying, Aunty Ji??
Savitri: At my house only..
