CHAPTER 43
CITY HOSPITAL
The nurse come inside bringing a trolley…
Nurse: Sorry for disturbing you… I need to do dressing for her wounds and give medicines to her… If you don’t mind, can you please stay outside for a while?? (The Raichands look at each other and then at Ishana… Ishana again makes a face… The Oberois look at them confusingly…)
Arjun: Sure, sister… But, you might need our help while giving medicines to her… You can call us that time… (The nurse looks at him in confuse… They leave from the room…)
OUTSIDE THE ROOM
Shivaay: Arjun, what did you say just now?? You have to help her to give the medicines??
Arjun: You will know it in a while… 5… 4… 3… 2…1 (The nurse comes out after a while)
Nurse: You are right… I need your help… She doesn’t want to have her medicine…
They go inside the room and see Ishana closed her mouth tightly refuse to have the medicines… The Oberois are shocked to see this side of Ishana…
Sid: Ishu, you can’t do like this… Be a good girl and have the medicines…
Ishu: Bhaiya, the medicines are too bitter… Yucks!! I can’t eat them…
Madhu: You are saying this?? Two years you were forcing me to have my medicines although I refused to have them… Now, it’s your turn to have your medicine…
Ishu: This is not the time for revenge, Madhu… I won’t eat them…
Swet: These are just tablets, Ishu… Everyday you made me have some herbal remedies which are more bitter… (Makes a disgusting face) Better you have these or I will make some herbal remedies for you after you got discharged… (Ishana gives a shocking expression)
Mithra: How you will be cure if you don’t have your medicine?? Please, Ishu… Have them… (Ishana shakes her head)
Tia: Yes, Ishu baby… Universe wants you to recover soon as well… Please, baby…
Raghav: Ishu, we can’t do like we used to do before because you are wounded now… Don’t take this as advantage to not to have your medicine…
Karan: (whispers to Shivaay) Ask Omkara to do something… She can’t refuse him… (Shivaay agrees and turns towards Omkara but he is not there… They see him walk towards the nurse and take the medicine from her)
Omkara walks towards Ishana… Ishana understands him and shakes her head looking at the medicines…
Om: You don’t want to take the medicine?? (Ishana shakes her head) Won’t you have them for me?? (Ishana looks at him making a puppy face) It’s ok… Then, you won’t recover soon and I can’t come near you… I need to wait till your wounds recover and I don’t know how long it will take… Never mind, I won’t force you… (Turns to go but Ishana holds his hand… He smirks looking at them…)
Ishu: I will have them…
Om: Sure??
Ishu: Yes… (Omkara smiles and feed her the medicines… She forced herself to have the medicines… Omkara smiles looking at her… The nurse sigh in relief…)
Rudra: (whispers to Shivaay) This O is having a magic… He made Ishana bhabhi to have her medicine…
Shivaay: (whispers) It’s called love magic… She agreed after he said that he won’t come near her… He knew what is her weakness… He directly attacked her there… And she can’t refuse him…
Nurse: Don’t stay here for long… Patient need to rest… Either one of you can stay with her… (towards ArSid) The doctor ask you to meet him before you leave…
Sid: Sure… We will meet him in a while…
Arjun: So, Om, are you going back or stay here??
Om: I can stay here… No problem… You all can go back…
Annika: Om, we are here to take care of her… You can go back… (Cuts by Omkara)
Om: It’s ok, bhabhi… I can manage…
Rudra: How you will manage?? You not even brush your teeth yet… (All laugh… Omkara stares at Rudra)
Shivaay: Om, you go back and refresh yourself… Then, you can come here… Till then they will take care of her… (Omkara looks at Ishana and she just nods her head at him… Omkara too nods his head..)
Om: Ok, Shivaay… I’ll do as you said…
Shivaay: Good… I’m sorry, Ishana… I want to be here too but I have to go to office today… Because, it’s been few days we didn’t go to office… Please don’t mind…
Ishu: (smiles) It’s ok, sir… I can understand… You don’t have to say sorry…(Shivaay pats her cheek and leave to office)
Arjun: (towards Siddharth) Bhaiya, let’s go and meet the doctor…
Annika: Please ask him if Ishana can have house made food or not…
Ishu: Yes, please… I don’t like the food here… It’s so… (Cuts by Annika)
Annika: Michmichi, right?? I know that…
Ishu: Michmichi??
Prinku: It’s like yucks!!
Ishu: Haww!! So, this is Annika’s khidkithod language… It’s cute… Just like her… (All laugh while Annika blushes slightly)
Om: What you said?? You don’t like hospital food?? But, just now you had it silently…
Ishu: Because you feed me… And I can’t say no to you… (Omkara surprised with her statement…)
All: Haww!!! Really?? (Ishana realised what she said and feels embarrassed)
Sid: Before the nurse come and chase all of us, decide who will be staying with her… I and Arjun going to meet the doctor now…
Madhu: I will stay with her, bhaiya… You all can go back…
Raghav: Are you sure?? (Madhu nods) Then, fine… If anything means call us… (Madhu nods)
SidArRaDuKa and SweNiTiMi kiss Ishana’s forehead and leave from the room followed by everyone except MaKara…
Om: (goes towards Ishana) I’ll come in a while… Hmm??
Ishu: You are looking so tired… You take rest first… Madhu is here with me…
Om: I can’t rest without seeing you and I’m not tired at all… So, I will come after a while… (Ishana smiles at him… Omkara hugs her… Madhu smiles looking at them… He leaves from there…)
Madhu goes and sits beside Ishana… She sighs in relief…
Ishu: Thank God you stopped anni from giving her blood to me…
Madhu: I was shocked when she said her blood group is same as yours… I don’t know how to stop her… Luckily, I remembered that you told her that her hemoglobin is low… So, she have to take some herbal remedies… I said the same…
Ishu: Did anyone doubted you??
Madhu: (sighs) Who else?? Ranveer bhaiya… He is having doubt on me if I’m not mistaken…
Ishu: Maybe you are right… His police brain will not leave him…
Madhu: Ishu, I think we have to tell this to Siddharth bhaiya… He is bhabhi’s husband and he too surprised with her behavior… Besides, he have to be with her at this time…
Ishu: You are right… Go and call him… Only him… (Madhu agrees and leaves outside)
RanRaDuKaKar are discussing something at the corner of the corridor… Rudra is on call with someone… NiTiMi and AniSouPri are talking with Swetlana… Omkara already left with the senior Oberois… ArSid are going towards the doctor’s cabin when Madhu come towards them…
Madhu: (towards Siddharth) Bhaiya, Ishu wants to talk to you for a while…
Sid: (thinks a while) Ok… Arjun you go and meet the doctor… I’ll go and see Ishu… You take Swetlana with you…
Arjun: Ok, bhaiya… (He goes towards Swetlana… SidMa walk towards Ishana’s ward)
RanRaDuKa go towards the girls…
Raghav: Girls, you all leave first… We will come after a while… (The girls look at them questioningly)
Dush: Actually, we have to go back to Raichand Mansion… It’s been long time we didn’t go there because most of us are not here… Now, everyone is here… So, it’s better if we back to our house…
Ranveer: I already arranged few people to clean the house… They will be there in a while… It will be good if you are there as well…
Karan: So, you all go back and pack your things as well as IshMa and bhabhi’s things and move there…
Annika: But, what is the need to move back to Raichand Mansion?? You can stay at Oberoi Mansion…
Raghav: Don’t mistaken us, Annika… Actually, the house is very dearest to daadima because it’s built by dadaji… She came here after long time but only stayed for few days…
Dush: That’s why we want to move there… Besides that, Ishu is not well and we don’t think it will be good if we stayed at Oberoi Mansion… So, please understand… (Annika nods understands them)
Soumya: We can understand you, bhaiya… But, don’t know if bade baalwale bhaiya will agree or not…
Karan: You are right… But, we think about that later… Now, you all leave first and do as we said… Mithu, arrange a room for Ishu at downstairs… She can’t go upstairs in this condition…
Mithra: Sure… We will arrange that…
Ranveer: You all leave first with Rudra… We will come in a while… (Ranveer signs Priyanka to stay)
Prinku: Bhabhi, I will stay here till Om bhaiya come back… Or Madhu will be alone… (Annika agrees and all the girls except Priyanka leave with Rudra) So, what is the plan, guys??
Ranveer: We are going to the accident spot… We have to start our search now… It’s already very late…
Raghav: Yeah… Moreover, this hospital is not safe for us… Ishu was admitted here few years ago…
Dush: It will be a problem if any staff recognise her… We have to discharge her from here as earlier as possible…
Prinku: Don’t worry about that… Not everyone are allowed to go to her ward… Only few staffs are allowed… Shivaay bhaiya already spoke to the doctor not to allow everyone… He is very protective if it comes to his family…
Karthik: But, we can’t care less about it… We have to discharge her from here…
Karan: It’s very hard to discharge her in this condition… Her wounds are terrible… She has to be under observation… We have to wait for the doctor to say something…
Dush: Ranveer, you leave first with Priyanka and Karthik… We will come in a while…
Ranveer: Ok… But, be careful… Don’t let anyone to doubt on you… Some staffs here know you… I don’t want anyone to land in trouble… (RaDuKa nods and PriRanKa leave from there)
INSIDE THE WARD
Siddharth is looking at IshMa surprisingly…
Sid: (folding his hands) I can’t believe you are hiding this matter from everyone especially me and Swetlana…
Ishu: Sorry, anna… But, we don’t have any options that time than hiding it… I don’t want any mistake to happen again…
Sid: But, what is the need to hide this matter, Ishu?? Do you know how important this matter??
Ishu: I know, bhaiya… But, we have to hide this for sometime… I will say it on the right time… I can’t tell you the reason why we have to hide this matter… But, trust me… When I reveal this matter to everyone, I will tell you the reason why I hide it as well… Please, anna…
Sid: (sighs) Who else know about this??
Madhu: Only we both know it and now you…
Sid: Only this matter you are hiding or there are anything else that you are hiding… (Madhu thinks about Gauri’s accident while Ishana thinks about her marriage with Dev)
IshMa: No… Nothing else we are hiding…
Sid: Really?? By looking at your faces I know that you are hiding something… Nevermind… I’m not going to ask anything… But, one day I will get to know about it… Truth can’t be hidden for a long time… One day, it has to come out… I will wait for that day… (Kisses Ishana’s forehead) I’ll see you later… Take care… Madhu, call me if anything… (Kisses Madhu’s forehead and leaves from there… IshMa sigh in relief…)
DOCTOR’S CABIN
ArSwet are sitting in front of the doctor waiting for him to say something… But, the doctor keep on reading the file…
Arjun: Doctor, you said that you want to meet us… But, till now you never said anything… Is there anything serious with my sister??
Doc: Your sister is fine but she has to be under observation for today… If everything is normal, she can be discharged tomorrow… (ArSwet smile in relief) Don’t mistaken me if I asked you the same question… Are you sure it was an accident?? I mean your sister’s right hand problem is because of an accident… (ArSwet look each other in confuse)
Arjun: That is what we had been told… We are not clear about it because Ishu loss a part of her memory…
Doc: What?? She lost her memory??
Swet: Not everything, doctor… Just few hours of the day… She was in trauma after the accident… We don’t want to strain her by asking about it… So, we didn’t ask her…
Arjun: But, why are you asking about the accident, doctor??
Doc: Because, I’m having doubt that if it was an accident that caused problem to her hand…
ArSwet: (shocked) What??
Doc: (nods his head) Yes… When I checked her hand, I realised that one of her vein is very weak… That caused her hand to be weak and shiver… (Stops a while) I want to ask you another question… After the incident that you said as an accident, did she lift any heavy things?? Like boxes, bags like that??
Arjun: No, doctor… We won’t allow any girls in our family to lift heavy things… (Thinks a while) But, doctor, the day after the incident, she took a jug of water for daadima but she can’t hold it and dropped it… Her hand was shivering that time… But, after few months she stopped having those problems…
Swet: I remember something… The next day after we came to Mumbai, she break a glass because she can’t hold it… But, doctor this happens whenever she get her nightmare… (The doctor nods his head trying to understand them)
Doc: That means something else has happened before the accident which you didn’t aware…
Arjun: Doctor, why are you doubting the accident??
Doc: Because, the problem with her hand doesn’t look like because of accident but something else…
Swet: Please say it clearly…
Doc: A person’s hand can’t be weak like this just because of an accident… Her hand can be fractured or broken but the vein can’t be weak… Unless… (Looks at them)
ArSwet: Unless…??
Doc: (sighs) Unless she has been beaten terribly by someone before and that accident gave effect to it… (ArSwet look at him in shock…) Did she involved in any problem before?? Or any fight that she has been hit by someone??
Swet: No, doctor… She didn’t involve with fight…
Doc: Your husband is a police officer, right?? He must have many enemies… Try to think… If one of those enemies tried to harm her before??
Arjun: No, doctor… As we know, nothing happened like that… (The doctor look at them confusingly)
Doc: Ok, fine!! Where did the accident happened??
Arjun: Here in Mumbai… She came with her fiance that time…
Doc: Which hospital she has been treated??
Swet: We are not sure about it… Because we all in Chennai that time… (Remembers something) Yes… City hospital!!
Arjun: Are you sure, bhabhi??
Swet: Yes, Arjun… RaDuKa worked there before…
Doc: You mean this hospital??
Swet: This is City Hospital?? (With a confused face… Arjun chuckles looking at her reaction) Sorry, I didn’t notice… (Feeling embarrassed)
Doc: It’s ok… Do you know who was the doctor treated her that time??
Arjun: Sorry, doctor… We don’t remember the doctor’s name… We only know that he was my brother in laws friend…
Doc: You don’t know about your sister’s condition that time??
Arjun: I just came back from my business meeting that time… I don’t know what happened and how it happened… We don’t want the accident to be a serious issue, so we brought Ishu back to Chennai as fast as we can…
Doc: (thinks a while) Ok… This hospital must have your sister’s record if she has been admitted here… I’ll try to find it and will inform you…
Arjun: But, doctor what is the need to do that?? Ishu is safe now… Then, why do you want to dig the past accident which she doesn’t even remember…
Doc: Nothing… I just want to know more details about my patient… (Swetlana is about to say something but Arjun stops her)
Arjun: Ok, doctor… You can do as you said… I’m ready to help you as well… If you find out something, please inform me… This is my number… (Extends a card)
Doc: (takes the card) Sure, Mr Arjun… We will see later… (ArSwet leave from the cabin) Why I’m feeling that the accident is not an accident?? Something else has happened that no one aware of it… I need to find her old record first… Then only I can decide something… (He calls someone and talk something in mute… He leaves from there after a while…)
