CHAPTER 25
OBEROI MANSION
Swetlana is pacing at the entrance… ShiOmRu are coming from the kitchen after finish cooking dinner… They see her walk pacing from the entrance to living room and vice versa… Savitri is shaking her head in disbelief looking at Swetlana… Annika and Soumya are telling something to Ishana and she notes down in her notebook… ShiOmRu go to Savitri…
Rudra: Daadima, what happened with Sweetlana?? Why she is pacing from here to there??
Shivaay: Exactly… Ishana and Madhu are here… Whom she is waiting for??
Savitri: Who else?? For Ranveer… He went out long ago but still didn’t come yet… That is what she worried for…
Madhu: These days bhabhi is worrying a lot… Don’t know what is wrong with her… (Ishana whispers something in Madhu’s ears…) Haww!! It can be like this too?? Ok..
Savitri: Like what??
Madhu: (stumbles) I mean she is missing bhaiya very much… That is why she is being like this…
Kalyani comes there with TejVi and ShaNky… Jhanvi goes to Swetlana and touch her shoulder… Swetlana turns to her…
Jhanvi: Why are you walking here and there??
Swet: Ranveer didn’t come yet… It’s been a while he went to his house…
Jhanvi: Actually, Priyanka is with him as well… She told me before she went… They might be on the way coming back now… Stop worrying and come and have your dinner…
Swet: But… (Cuts by Madhu)
Madhu: Bhabhi, Ranveer bhaiya is with Priyanka… He won’t come back this soon… He forgot that he is having four angels to care… (PriVeer come that time and hear Madhu…) Nowadays, he behaves like a lover boy than a brother… Now he must have taken Priyanka for a candle light dinner…
Ranveer: Really?? (All turn to Ranveer except Madhu)
Madhu: Yes… I’m not lying… I think better to get him married first before he…(turns and shocked to see PriVeer… Priyanka smiles looking at her while Ranveer glares at her… Madhu got scared…) (Ranveer walks towards her but she walks backwards)
Ranveer: Before I….. What?? Complete the sentence…
Madhu: Nothing, bhaiya… I was kidding only… (Ranveer twists her ears and she wails in pain…) Bhaiya, it’s paining… Please bhaiya… Leave me… I’m sorry…
Ranveer: (leaves her ear) So, you are talking at my back when I’m not here… You both are listening to her without stopping her…
Ishu: She is saying the truth only… Just now you went alone but coming back with Priyanka… So, what can we say??
Ranveer: Oh… You are taking her side too?? I’ll come to you later… (To Madhu) What you want to say just now??? Before I….. What was that??
Madhu: (move backwards) Bhaiya, I asked them to get you married before you…. (all are looking at her eagerly waiting for her to continue) before you… become mad with her love… (Saying this she run from there)
Ranveer: (shocked) What did you say?? I… mad?? I’m not going to spare you today… (He runs chasing her around the house… All are laughing looking at them… He manages to catch her… He pinned both of her hands behind her back..) You are talking a lot these days… Because your man is not here, right?? I’ll ask him to come here immediately… Then you will know who really became mad…
Swet: Her man?? Who is he??
Savitri: Ranveer, what do you mean by that??
Ranveer: Both of you don’t know about that?? Ishu, you didn’t tell them?? (Ishana shakes her head and chuckles covering her mouth) Madhu, should I tell them?? (Madhu shakes her head in negative) I will tell them…
Madhu: Bhaiya, no…
Ranveer: I’m not going to listen to you… Daadima, he is none other than our… (Madhu covers his mouth and drags him from there… All are looking confused except Ishana..)
Swet: Ishu, do you know whom Ranveer is talking about??
Ishu: No, Anni… I didn’t know about it…
Swet: Really?? I believe you…(in a mocking tone… RanMa come after a while)
Shivaay: Come… Let’s have dinner…
All sit at the dining table to have their dinner… Ranveer takes his mobile and shows to Ishana…
Ishu: Hi, Anna!!! Are you ready to feed me??
Arjun: I’m ready, Ishu… (He signs Ranveer… Ranveer obeys and feed first bite to Ishana behalf of Arjun…) Good… Will talk to you tomorrow… Bye…
Ishu: Bye, Anna… (Cuts his call and gives the mobile back to Ranveer)
Rudra: So, this is how Arjun Bhaiya will feed you when he is not with you?? It’s so sweet…
Annika: You are really lucky, Ishana to have these family with you…
Ishu: Yes… I know that… I don’t know what might happen if they are not with me…
Soumya: Don’t think about your past anymore… Now, you are having us with you too besides them…
Ishana just smiles… Omkara who sits in front of Ishana just looking at her… Ishana realised his gaze on her… She looks at him and smiles… They continue with their dinner while chatting…
At living room
Everyone are sitting and talking with each other…
Kalyani: I’m having a wish but don’t know whether you will agree or not…
Shivaay: When we disagree with you?? Just say it daadi…
Shakti: Shivaay is right, maa… You just say what is your wish…
Kalyani: Besides Prinku’s birthday, I want her engagement to happen as well… But, only if you all agree… If not then it’s ok… I just say my wish only…
Tej: That is good idea… In fact, I thought the same as well and I told the same to Jhanvi… We don’t have any problem with that but how about Aunty ji?? Are you ok with this??
Savitri: I also don’t have any problem with this but we have to ask Priyanka and Ranveer… Because, they are the one need to decide… (All look at PriVeer while PriVeer look at each other)
Ranveer: I’m sorry but I don’t want to engage this soon… I’m having some important things to do… I want to settle all that and get married to Priyanka… I hope you all will understand…
Prinku: I agree with Ranveer… We need some time and we just got together after two years… So, I think it’s better if we don’t take this matter now…
Om: But, we are asking you to get engaged only… We will do the marriage later as you said….
Ishu: I think he is right… Engagement will not stop you from your responsibilities… What’s wrong with doing the engagement??
Jhanvi: I agree with Ishana… Getting engaged will not be a problem…
Madhu: Sorry for interrupting you… I think better we let them to think deeply about this and tell their decision tomorrow… It’s their life and we have to agree with their decision…
Shivaay: Madhu is right… Both of you tell your decision tomorrow… We will respect and accept your decision… (PriVeer agree with them) It’s getting late now… Annika, Soumya arrange rooms for them…
Annika: We already arranged the rooms for them upstairs… Come… We’ll show you the rooms… (Savitri and SwetIshMa follow AniSou)
Everyone retired to their room except ShiOmRu… They go and sit at the poolside with their legs inside the water…
Rudra: I hope Prinku will agree with the engagement…
Shivaay: I’m also hoping like that but it’s their life… We have to respect their decisions…
Om: Exactly!! We can’t force them… But, I could feel there are some reason for their hesitation…
Shivaay: Let’s see what they will say tomorrow…
Priyanka’s Room
RanMa are in Priyanka’s room…
Madhu: I know why you both are hesitate to get engaged… You want Ishu’s problems to be solved first, right?? Bhaiya, your mission will not be stopped because of your engagement… Already we are supporting you in your mission… We will continue supporting you… You want Ishu and Omkara to get together first… You don’t have to worry about that… Their destiny is doing it’s job… They got married yesterday and got engaged today…
Ranveer: They get engaged today?? What are you blabbering, Madhu?? (She told him whatever happened today) This you called as engagement?? (Slaps her head)
Prinku: Ranveer, I think Madhu is right… I felt that our engagement can bring some changes to Om bhaiya and Ishana…
Ranveer: (thinks a while) Yeah… If you both are saying, then I too agree with this… But, only engagement…
Prinku: Yes… Only engagement… Our marriage will happen after Ishkara realise their love… Ok?? (RanMa agree and left to their respective rooms)
At midnight
Ishana wakes up in a jerk from her sleep breathing heavily… She is having her usual nightmare… She looks at Madhu who is sleeping peacefully… She gets down from the bed to have water but find the jug is empty… She thought to go and have it in kitchen… She walks downstairs towards the kitchen… She takes the jug to pour water in the glass but her hand started to shiver… She tries to control the shiver but failed and almost drop the jug… A hand holds the jug… She looks at the person and it’s none other than Omkara… He takes the jug from her hand and pour water in the glass… He hand over the glass to her… She wants to take the glass but her hand is still shivering… Omkara holds her hand and makes her to drink the water…
Ishu: (after finishing the water) Thank you… (Omkara just nods his head) I don’t know what could have happened if you didn’t come just now?? (She looks down felt embarrassed)
Om: (pulls her chin up) Why are you feeling embarrassed?? I know that you are having some problems… I told you before that I’m a good listener… (She turns from him… He smiles and turns her towards him) Come with me… (He drags her from kitchen towards poolside) You know something?? I and my brothers always spend our time by sitting here… We will feel relaxed… You also try… Come… It will be good… (Omkara sits down at the poolside…)
Ishu: No… It’s ok… I want to sleep… (Turns to leave but Omkara pulls her hand… She almost fall on his lap but she holds his shoulders and sits beside him… Ishkara have an eyelock)
Om: Put your legs inside the water… (She looks at him questioningly… He holds her legs and put them in the water… She winced feeling the chillness on her legs)
Ishu: (tries to take her legs) It’s too cold… I can’t do it…
Om: (stops her) It will be fine in a while… Don’t take your legs… Please… (Ishana melts with his ‘please’… She agrees and let her legs inside the water… Her hand started to shiver… Omkara noticed that and holds her hand with his both hands) What is the problem, Ishana?? Why your hand is shivering like this?? I noticed this before too… You were like this when you first time feed Rudra and that night you woke up having a nightmare… I thought because of new environment but now I feel it’s more than that… Ishana, I’m not forcing you but I can’t see you suffer like this…
Ishu: No… I need to suffer for whatever I did before… This is not enough… I need to suffer more than this…
Om: What?? I don’t understand…
Ishu: I’m not that good as you all are seeing me now… I’m a sinner… I did two sins before which are unforgivable…
Om: (shocked) What?? You did sins??
Ishu: Yes, I did sins!!
Om: (to calm her) I think you are misunderstanding between mistakes and sins… Maybe what you did were mistakes not sins…
Ishu: (holds his collar angrily) What?? Mistakes?? I killed an unborn baby!! Is that a mistake?? I caused a death of an innocent girl!! Is that a mistake?? Tell me!! (Cries and leave his collar) Those are sins!! Unforgivable sins!! (Gets up and cries covering her face… She turns to look at Omkara but he is already left)
Ishana smiles sadly and sits back at the poolside thinking about her past… Omkara goes to his room after heard Ishana… He felt pain in his heart when he thought that Ishana killed an unborn baby… He just leave from there without saying anything… He thinks of his unborn baby which was still in Gauri’s womb when she died…
Om: How could she do that?? I can’t believe she did like this… She killed an innocent life before it could see the world… Doesn’t her heart felt pain when doing like that?? (He closes his eyes feeling bad for the baby… Flashes of Ishana’s tearful eyes come in his thought… He opens his eyes in jerk)
Ishana wipes her tears and gets up to leave to her room… She is shocked to see Omkara and almost fell in the pool… Omkara holds her hand and pulls her…
Om: You can’t stand properly, right?? Most of the time you will be tripping, slipping and falling…
Ishu: But, till now I didn’t fall yet… You never let me to fall…
Om: (leaves her hand) I was angry with you for killing an unborn life… That’s why I went without telling you…
Ishu: If any of my family members were angry with me like you, I will not suffer till now… But, they didn’t even ask me why I did that and not even scolded me once for doing like that… They only shower their love to me… (Cries badly) I’m dying daily in the guiltiness… I would have felt better if they hit me for killing the baby but they didn’t do that… (Ishana sobbing terribly… Omkara feels bad looking at her..)
Om: (holds her shoulder) Then, why did you do that?? You know it’s wrong, then why??
Ishu: I don’t have any other option… I have to do that to save another life… So, I need to kill that life to safe the life…
Om: What are you saying, Ishana?? I don’t understand… (Ishana doesn’t say anything… Omkara could understand there is a reason behind this…) It’s ok… I’m not going to force you if you are not telling me…
Ishu: (holds his hand) It’s not that I don’t want to tell you… But, this is not the time… I’ll tell you on the right time… Trust me…
Om: (nods and looks at her wound) I think the bandage need to be changed… Come with me…
Ishu: No… It’s ok… (Omkara doesn’t listen and drags her to his room)
He makes her to sit on the bed… He unwrap her bandage and cleans her wound… He applies antiseptic on her wound using a cotton… She winced in pain and try to pull her hand… But, he holds her hand tightly and blows her finger soothing her pain…
Om: Do you know why I was angry with you??
Ishu: For killing an unborn baby…
Om: Yeah… That is the reason… But, there is another reason behind it… (Ishana looks at him in confuse) Actually, Gauri was pregnant when she died… She supposed to tell me that day but before that she…. (Unable to complete and turns from her… Ishana is hell shocked to know about this… She turns him towards her and see his years are flowing from his eyes… She felt bad for telling him…)
Ishu: I’m sorry… I didn’t know about this… (Omkara stops her)
Om: That is the reason I got angry when you said that you killed an unborn… The pain is terrible… I dreamt a lot about my child but it become dream only… My baby died in the mother’s womb… I think the baby too didn’t like me to be his/her’s father… It must felt that I’m not a good father for not able to protect my child and wife from the danger…
Ishu: (cups his face) Who said that you are not a good father?? A person can’t be a father just by having their own child… There is a father inside everyone… You are a father… A father is the one who is protective to his loved ones… You protected Priyanka from the outside world by hiding the accident which done by Priyanka… You took the blame on you when Ranveer started to investigate it… You are a man who hate lies but you lied to the whole world just to save your sister… This is called father… Maybe you are her brother but a brother can be a perfect father for his sister… Not only for Priyanka, you are a father for Annika, Soumya, Rudraa, Jhanvi aunty, Pinky aunty, daadi… You are very protective about them… Age is not a matter to be a father… It has to come from a person’s heart… For me, you are not less than a father… Next time, don’t say that you are not a good father… You are the best father… (Omkara just looks at her without blinking his eyes… He is just mesmerized with her explanation of a father)
Om: (holds her hands that are cupping his face) I don’t think anyone can explain these much beautiful about being a father… How you can think like this?? It’s marvelous…
Ishu: Because I’m having world’s best protective fathers with me…
Om: So, I’m not the best father??
Ishu: I didn’t mean that… You are the best father, brother, son and husband that one can have… (Omkara face changes when he heard the word ‘husband’…)
Ishana noticed the changes on his face… She felt bad for hurting him… She holds his face with her hands and places a deep kiss on his forehead… Omkara recalls last night where he kissed her to soothe her pain… Now, she is doing the same to him… He just smiles and feels the kiss… Ishana breaks the kiss and looks at him…
Ishu: You are the best husband too… (Ishana turns to leave… Omkara looks at her wound which is left unbandaged…)
Om: (holds her hand) Your wound is not bandaged yet… (Omkara bandages her wound)
Ishana looks at him lovingly… Omkara realised her gaze on him and he looks at her while bandaging her wound… Both of them lost in their eyes… They bring their faces closer and their lips are just few inches away… Their hearts are beating loudly and their lips are almost touched… They heard a noise from the window and they realised what they almost done… They get up from their places feeling embarrassed and just stand silently… They remembered hearing the noise… They rush to the window and see what was the sound… Omkara opens the window and see no one there…
Ishu: What happen?? Is anyone there??
Om: No… But, we need to alert everyone… (He holds Ishana’s hand and take her with him)
They go and press the security alarm… The Oberois come there in rush… Ranveer too comes there with Swetlana…
Shivaay: What happened, Om??
Om: We heard noise from my window… But, no one is there when I checked…
Shivaay: Intruder in Oberoi Mansion?? How is that possible?? OmRu, Ranveer come with me… All of you stay here… (Shouts) Security!!! Where are you all??
Four of them go and check outside around the mansion… They come back after a while…
Tej: What happened, Shivaay?? Did you find anyone??
Shivaay: No, bade papa… Actually, a bulb is broken… That is the noise… Nothing serious… Don’t worry… Let’s go and sleep… But, where is Madhu??
Ishu: She must be sleeping in her room…
Pinky: Oh, my maata!! Still sleepings in this loud noises??
Swet: Actually, it’s due to her medicine effect…
Ranveer: Right, she will sleep like kumbhkaran and won’t wake up even if hurricane occurs…
Rudra: How long we gonna talk like this?? I’m very sleepy…
Soumya: Sleepy head… Come let’s go…
All leave to their respective rooms…
Precap: Ranveer is worried… New comer at Oberoi Mansion… Ranveer is happy… Priyanka is jealous… Madhu is irritated… Ishana is suspicious… Plan to make Ishana jealous…
