Anurag observes a new maturity in Pihu and concludes she must be in love. He advises her to always remember the importance of love in life before leaving. His words trigger Pihu to reminisce about Siddarth. Lost in her thoughts, she almost gets hit by a car and scolds the driver, only for Siddarth to emerge from the vehicle and apologize. He notes that she never contacted him, to which Pihu explains she had planned to do so that very day. Siddarth, feeling a bit insecure, tells her not to say that just to placate him and assumes that someone as pretty and educated as her must have many suitors.
Pihu clarifies that his assumption is wrong, explaining that most boys are too intimidated to approach her and that she generally ignores them. Siddarth lightheartedly suggests that’s why she didn’t
Siddarth, who is driving aimlessly because he loves it, responds to Pihu’s concern about it being reckless by sharing his life philosophy. Having witnessed many deaths in the hospital, he believes life is short and one should passionately pursue what they love, as the present moment will never return. Pihu listens, captivated and looking at him with clear affection.
He then takes her to a simple roadside tea stall. There, he playfully teaches her how to dip a biscuit in tea, which she finds tasty. This leads Pihu to admit she doesn’t know how to cook, using it as an excuse for why she hadn’t invited him over. She promises to learn slowly. Amused, Siddarth jokes that she’s talking as if their marriage is fixed, causing Pihu to fluster and backtrack. He tells her he was only joking, but Pihu earnestly replies that jokes aren’t allowed in marriage talks, alluding to the problems she’s seen in relationships like Shashwat and Ishani’s. Siddarth apologizes for touching a nerve, and Pihu, stating her family is complicated, offers to share more if they meet again. When Siddarth asks if she doesn’t want to see him, Pihu responds by giving him her phone number.
The next day, a separate tension unfolds as Anurag meets Ishani at college. He asks about her exam, and when she replies it went well, he admits he was worried she hadn’t had time to study. Ishani coldly states that she knows how to balance her life. Anurag, hurt, asks why she is being so distant. Ishani retorts, asking if he expected her to say she was helpless without him, as that would have satisfied his ego. Anurag apologizes, saying “Good for her,” and pleads for her to understand his situation. He finally tells her that if she doesn’t want to marry him, she should just say so to his mother directly.
