Yash’s father and aunt plead with him to spend time with the family, but he firmly refuses, explaining he has a prior commitment to take Ankita out for dinner. He insists that breaking his promise would upset her, and despite their disappointment, he leaves without even having a cup of tea.
After his departure, Pihu and Ishani prepare to seek legal justice. Pihu reassures her father that she will recover everything lost to the recent fraud. At the police station, Ishani files a formal complaint, detailing how Nandini exploited their trust. She explains that Nandini manipulated Shashwat during a time of emotional vulnerability, deceiving him into transferring his property to her under the false pretense of adding his name to the power of attorney. Ishani submits all relevant documents as evidence.
When the officer questions what proof they have that Shashwat did not transfer the property willingly, Ishani points to Shashwat’s serious heart condition, which rendered him incapable of rational decision-making. Pihu adds that their father has suffered immense emotional and financial distress due to the deceit.
The officer, curious about Ishani’s involvement given her status as an ex-wife, asks why she is helping. Ishani calmly states she is acting out of concern and responsibility, not self-interest. Impressed by her composure and legal knowledge, the officer learns that Ishani once aspired to be an IAS officer, which explains her familiarity with the law.
Later, Ishani meets her old friend Abhishek, now a reputed lawyer. After a warm, nostalgic reunion, he immediately agrees to help. Abhishek outlines a legal strategy to reclaim the property and secure justice, leaving Ishani feeling hopeful that their family’s dignity and peace will be restored.
