Ishani and Anurag first met at his NGO, where she was captivated seeing him playfully entertaining children. They quickly grew close, dating for several months until Anurag was due to fly abroad. At the airport, he made her promise to wait for him for two years, vowing to call daily, a promise Ishani tearfully accepted. However, days later, his calls stopped. Her mother, Ambika, convinced her Anurag had abandoned her after learning of her past. Heartbroken, Ishani accepted a marriage proposal from Shashwat.
In the present, the confrontation at Anurag’s house continues. Anurag defends himself against Shashwat and Nandini’s accusations, revealing he only let Pihu stay because she threatened suicide. He insists he did nothing wrong and still loves Ishani, a fact Pihu angrily confirms. Shashwat mocks Anurag’s motives and accuses him of taking advantage of his daughter. Despite Ishani’s anger that Anurag didn’t inform them, he maintains they are all misunderstanding the situation.
As Pihu stubbornly demands that Anurag marry her, a furious Shashwat declares that Anurag will face the consequences for his actions. Nandini advises Pihu to file a police complaint to force a marriage. The family finally leaves, and later, Shashwat takes Ishani to the police station to officially report Anurag, leaving him to dread the new storm heading his way.
