Anurag advises Ishani to file a domestic violence case against Shashwat, though he knows she won’t. His mother questions why Ishani stayed with Shashwat until now. Ishani explains that she feared society’s judgment, as it would blame her for ending the marriage. Anurag’s mother reminds her that society will always gossip, and they shouldn’t live for its approval. Anurag urges Ishani to leave Shashwat and stay with them if she trusts him.
When asked if she wants to return to Shashwat’s house, Ishani firmly says she would rather die than go back. She admits she still fears for Anurag’s safety since she is legally Shashwat’s wife. Revealing her wish to divorce Shashwat, she accepts Anurag’s offer to consult a lawyer. He encourages her to focus on her studies, but Ishani worries about Pihu, who studies at the same college and may cause trouble. Anurag assures her that Pihu’s actions are not their concern.
The next day, Anurag is captivated seeing Ishani in a simple saree. She plans to resume college after two days, but he insists she start immediately. Ishani fears Pihu’s revenge, yet Anurag tells her not to be afraid. He says they’ll meet the lawyer that evening. His mother acknowledges Ishani’s fear but reassures her that divorce will free her from worry.
Anurag warns that Shashwat won’t grant divorce easily. Ishani agrees but insists she doesn’t want alimony—only peace. She vows to approach the police if Shashwat refuses mutual divorce. Asking for the lawyer’s address, she learns Anurag will take her himself. He reassures her that she has done nothing wrong and need not live in fear. Ishani reminds him of Shashwat’s ego. His mother then asks them to have breakfast.
Later, Anurag asks about Ishani’s future. She says all she wants is freedom from Shashwat, with no other plans in mind. Anurag tells her no one can live alone forever. Ishani admits her past plans failed, so she prefers to go with the flow. Anurag recalls their dreams when they were in love and says circumstances separated them, but he now feels fate has given them another chance. Though he admits it’s not the right time, he asks if she will return to his life once everything is settled. Ishani replies that she never said she doesn’t want to.

Later, Shashwat expresses to Nandini that transferring company shares to another firm doesn’t feel right, but Nandini insists she is only trying to help him.
