HIS REJECTION…

“No.”

Abhijeet sighed in defeat. Of course Sanskar would say that. What was he even expecting.

“Look Sanskar, at-”

“Excuse me.” Sanskar muttered before jerking his hand away from the girl who got scared at the sudden move.

“Don’t touch me again.”
And he walked away from the place with his usual stoic expression not even once looking back at the timid figure who was still staring at his fading figure with wide hurt eyes.

***ring*** ****ring****

“Hello….yeah, just mail it to me and proceed to the final setup. I’ll be there shortly.” Everyone watched him walking away but no one said anything to stop him.

It has already been half an hour since Sanskar’s rejection and still no one dared utter anything. When the silence became too suffocating to breathe in, Abhijeet decided to apologize.

“Look Om, I’m really sorry for the way he behaved and I-”

“Seriously Jeet.” Omkar Thakur assured to lighten up the mood. “It’s not like it’s the end of the world now is it? I’m sure I can find an eligiblle partner for my daughter. Maybe better than your son. What’s say?”

“Of course. We both, together will find the best husband for our Ragu.” Abhijeet Maheshwari declared with determination.

“Calm down ji. Think from his point of view as well. How would you feel if your own father would pressurize you to marry someone you don’t want to. You know how much he hates when something doesn’t go his way right?”

“Enough Sakshi. Do not side with your son for once atleast can you? The way he rejected the proposal do you think it was nice to do so? Was a single ‘No’ enough? He should have some common decency to atleast apologize. But No. For him, everything should be according to his own wish. Does he even care about others feelings at all? Forget about others do he even care how his parents feel? No. Absolutely not. ”

“But-”

“See. He isn’t even picking up my call now.”

“He must be in the flight jii” Sakshi tried to make him understand once again but even she knew it was hopeless to do so. Her husband was too riled up to think clearly.

‘God knows when will the ice between this father and son will melt?’

“Flight. Yeah right!! My son went away to NY for six months and I’m getting to know about this from others and that too after he took off the flight. Amazing isn’t it?” His tone was anything but pleasant.

“You know what Sakshi? Just forget it. I’m done with everything.”

He knew nothing would be same after that incident. But never once did Abhijeet thought he would become a stranger to his own son. If only he could go back in time and change everything.

“Hey, did you hear?”
“Hear what?”
“The new CEO? The one who bought our company last week is coming over?” Those were some of the words circulating in the recently added branch of Maheshwari Industries since morning. Everyone was eager to meet the new CEO. After hearing a tone of stories about his success and fame in the media, honestly who would not?

For now, Sanskar Maheshwari was the new hot topic of gossip. Specially for the girls who were fawning over his looks.

“Really? But I thought he will come two days later. Isn’t that what was decided?”

“Offho!! What’s your problem if he comes early huh? He owns the office now after all. And I heard he is very handsome. And hot too. Quite a specimen to look at.” The girl whispered with a dreamy sigh. Her insides churning with butterflies. Her mind playing all the CEO and employee romance drama in her head.

‘Maybe she would also be like that lead actress and he, her Prince Charming.’ The girl thought excitedly too busy in her own dreamland.

“In your dreams.”
A voice broke her out of her stupor. The girl jerked back to see the culprit who dared to interrupt her. ‘Oh god, his looks. An I in heaven or something?’

“One thing you know about Sanskar Maheshwari is that he hate ones who are lazy.”

“And?” The girl asked with full on attitude. ‘How dare this new comer talk to her like that.’

“And I think you’re slacking at the moment Mis.”
The man reminded smugly pointing at the files in her hand which she has been holding for the past half an hour.

“Oh shit.” She mumbled before hurriedly going back to her assigned work place.

“Wait!! ” She shouted suddenly remembering something.

“Who are you?”

“Why? Didn’t recognize your boss”

Thud!!!

The file slipped from her hand while she stood rooted on the spot. Gulping down her fear, she hesitantly tried to voice out something.

“I-i’m s-so”

“Get back to work.”

“Rude jerk !! But still so handsome.”

“You got information?”
Sanskar questioned when he looked at the man standing beside his cabin waiting for him with an envelope in his hand.

“Yes sir.”

“Come inside.”

“We found her. Atleast I think so.”
The man uttered without wasting any time.

Sanskar looked at the envelope laying in front of him.

“It’s her.” He declared without a doubt as he stared at the pictures in his hand.

“They were clicked two days ago. We suspect that the woman is hiding in Korea at the moment.”

“Send the men there immediately. Oh and keep it away from dad. No one should know about it.”

“Yes Sir.”

So so so sorry for such a late update. I had my exams which ended just one day ago so I couldn’t update.
