India’s Got Talent Season 9 to Air on a NEW CHANNEL not on Colors’

We all have seen eight season of the popular talent based show India’s Got Talent on Colors tv. It was undoubtedly one of the most valuable addition to the list of shows on the channel but now the show and the channel seem to have parted ways.

Season 9 of popular reality show India’s Got Talent will telecast on Sony TV and not Colors.Yes you read it right. Since the airing of America’s Got Talent in 2006, the format has been successfully adapted in over 70 countries. The same format has been adopted which says that age is a mere number. The show has a format where flying solo or performing in a group is welcomed irrespective of social status or gender. India’s Got Talent is the Indian adaptation of the international format titled “Got Talent” that is created and owned by Syco and Fremantle, has been acquired by Sony Entertainment Television.

On acquiring the rights of the show, Ashish Golwalkar, Head – Content, Sony Entertainment Television & Digital Business said, “India’s Got Talent as a format holds great potential, and Sony Entertainment Television’s stronghold in the non-fiction talent-led reality show formats gives us yet another opportunity to resonate with the audience. Having acquired the rights from Fremantle, we are gearing up for an exciting new season of India’s Got Talent and we look forward to showcasing the best talent in our country.”
