Heer confides in Jeet, expressing her sense of defeat even after their victory because of the impact on the kids’ happiness. Jeet mentions that Jarnail could use the kids to avoid punishment. Teji regains consciousness and asks her kids to wait while she talks to Heer. She requests Heer to call the police after the kids are asleep to shield them from witnessing Jarnail’s arrest, as it could traumatize them.
Teji approaches Jarnail, who is tied to a chair. She offers him water, and he asks her to free his hands as well. Jarnail questions why she’s letting him go to jail. Teji suggests that once he serves his punishment, they can start anew. Jarnail emotionally manipulates Teji, asking for a hug before going to jail. He plans to use Teji’s bracelet to cut the rope and escape. Teji falls for his deception and hugs him, but before Jarnail can take the bracelet, Jeet intervenes and takes her aside.
Jeet informs Teji how Jarnail was using her under the guise of a hug. When Teji tries to speak against Jarnail, he shouts at her. Jeet slaps Jarnail to silence him, stating that Jarnail can neither be a good father nor a good husband. Rajwinder arrives and insults Jeet, referring to him as an illegitimate child. Sartaj advises her not to speak to Jeet. Rajwinder accuses Jeet of wanting to inherit all their property once Jarnail is in jail, which angers Jeet. Despite Sartaj’s request to stay, Jeet leaves.
Heer follows Jeet to stop him, but he insists he can’t stay there anymore. Heer mentions that Sartaj needs him, but Jeet clarifies he came to help her, not Sartaj. He assures her to call if she needs help in the future but states he can’t stay now. Jarnail blames Sartaj for his upbringing and the family’s turmoil. Hearing Jarnail’s harsh words, Sartaj has a heart attack and loses consciousness. Jarnail laughs, hoping Sartaj dies to avoid punishment and to manipulate Rajwinder.
Sartaj keeps murmuring Jeet’s name in a semi-conscious state. The doctor advises calling the person Sartaj is talking about for his fast recovery. Heer prays for things to improve at the Atwal house. She tries to comfort Sartaj, who expresses regret over losing Jeet. Heer mentions that although Jeet isn’t in the house, he’s still in the same city. Sartaj wishes to see Jeet in front of his eyes. Jarnail manipulates Rajwinder to save himself from the police.
