Hi, everyone!! I am back with the update. Due to some reasons, I couldn’t update any of my stories. I was totally blank and my mind couldn’t think how to proceed. That’s why I stopped writing and stayed away from social media and wattpad. I am really sorry for making all of you wait for a long time. I will try to give update once a week.
CHAPTER 44
SidLana’s House
AvNeil’s Room
Avni is lying on Neil’s chest while Neil is caressing her back. Mishti is lying on the baby cot beside their bed.
Avni: Neil, I am happy that you are back from the hospital. Pooja also gained consciousness ready. Now, I am worrying about Ishu.
Neil: I am worried about her too, Avni. I don’t know who did like that to her. We need to find that creep and also the one who harassed her at the hotel.
Avni: Maybe both are the same person??
Neil: Maybe. But we can’t sure. RuMya, PriVeer and ShivIka went to meet the waiter. I hope he will tell the truth.
Avni: But Neil, how are we going to tell Ishu that Omkara didn’t get her pregnant?? One side of my heart is telling to not to tell her the truth but another side is telling me to reveal the truth to her.
Neil: We have to tell her, Avni. Then only we can unite her with Omkara.
Avni: But Neil, will she still unite with him after learning the truth??

Avni: But the mistake is on my side.
Neil: Mishti is my baby but I didn’t accept her. But Omkara accepted Ishu’s baby as his even though he is not the father. I was so ashamed thinking how I have reacted to you after learning about Mishti. But Omkara, even though he was angry with Ishu, he didn’t want anyone to assassinate Ishu’s character. Ishu won’t get a better life partner than him. He is the perfect one for our Ishu. He won’t let her down at any cost. (Avni nods and lies on his shoulder.)
RuMyaPri are waiting for ShivIka nearby the waiter’s house. They are wondering why ShivIka are coming there and look at each other. ShivIka reached there after a while.
Shivaay: Sorry. We made you wait.
Soumya: Don’t be sorry, bhaiya. In fact, we too just came here.
Annika: How about the waiter?? Is he at his house??
Prinku: We are here for 15 minutes and we have never seen him coming out from his house.

Rudra: (angrily) To hell with your sorry!! How dare are you to spike someone’s drink for money!!??
Prinku: Do you know how many people suffered because of your deed??
Manveer: I was helpless that time, madam. My sister was ill and I needed money for her treatment. No one helped me that time. I was so depressed thinking about my sister. Two guys came to me that time and gave me a sachet. They told me to mix it in a juice and give it to this girl. I refused at first but….
Annika: You agreed after they offered the money. (Manveer nods in guilt.)

Soumya: You were thinking about your sister. Will you do that if this girl was your sister?? Will you do that!!?? (He keeps quiet.)
Shivaay: Who are those guys??
Manveer: I don’t know, sir.
Rudra: Do you still have any contact with them??
Manveer: No, sir. I met them that one night only. I have never seen them after that.
Annika: How they looked like??
Manveer: They were so young. Maybe in their early 20’s.
Soumya: Do you still remember their faces?? Can you identify them??
Manveer: Yes. I can identify them.
Mahi’s House
Ranveer reached there.
Ranveer: What happened, Mahi??
Mahi: Sir, those guys faces are captured in one of the camera nearby the elevator.
Ranveer: That’s great.
Mahi: But it was not that much clear.
Ranveer: Never mind. Show me the video first. (Mahi plays the footage. Ranveer watched carefully.)
Mahi: Sir, these are the guys. (Mahi paused the video. Ranveer looks at the guys.)
Ranveer: It’s hard to identify because they turned their faces instantly.
Mahi: Sorry, sir. I thought it might be helpful for you.

Ranveer: I’m sorry, Mahi. I should have asked your permission first before asking him to come here. I know it’s not decent to simply bring someone to your house. Already you are doing us so much of favour….

Ranveer: (confused) Do you know him??

Ranveer: Actually, I asked his help to investigate the cases handled by NeilGau which were in New Delhi. NeilGau are here and I too can’t go there. And this case is quite sensitive, so I have to take help from someone trustworthy. Besides NeilGau, the only one whom I trust is him only. I didn’t know that you and him…..
Mahi: There is nothing between us, sir. He was just my crush. He won’t even remember me.

Ashwin: Hi, Ranveer!!
Ranveer: Thanks for coming, yaar. By the way, this is Mahi. And Mahi, this is Ashwin, my friend.
Mahi: Hi.
Ashwin: Hi. (Turns to Ranveer. Mahi gives “I already told you” look to Ranveer.) I have investigated about the cases handled by NeilGau in Mumbai. None of these people came to Mumbai recently. Some are still in the prison. Two of them already died in the encounter.
Ranveer: Maybe they didn’t appear directly and might hire some other people to do the accident. Neil told me that someone called and threatened him that he will never spare anyone of them. (Ashwin thinks.) We will discuss this with NeilGau. Did you find out who was the officer who handled Gauri’s accident case??
Ashwin: Yes. I spoke to him. He told that Omkara Singh Oberoi asked him to close the case as ‘Hit and Run’.
Ranveer: (shocked) Omkara?? (Ashwin nods.) When he asked that??
Ashwin: Few days after the accident. He doesn’t know who did the accident. He went to the hospital to investigate the accident and he only knows the person’s name is Ishana and the hotel she stayed. Unfortunately, there was no room booked under Ishana’s name.
Mahi: She came for job purpose. So the room must be booked under her company or her boss name.
Ranveer: Exactly!! Besides that, Ishana doesn’t use her surname, so it was hard to trace her. That is why Shivaay couldn’t find Priyanka as she didn’t use her surname when she stayed in New Delhi. (Towards Ashwin) Then, what he said??
Ashwin: He wanted to investigate the Oberois but Shivaay Singh Oberoi refused as he doesn’t want the media to disturb his family. After few days, Omkara Singh Oberoi went and asked him to close the case as ‘Hit and Run’.
Mahi: Maybe he did like that after marrying Ishana. (Ranveer nods agreeing with her.)
Ashwin: How are Neil and Pooja?? You told me Pooja is in coma.
Ranveer: Nothing to worry, yaar. Neil is already discharged and Pooja has gained consciousness. (Ashwin sighs in relief.)
Ashwin: How about the guys who spiked Ishana’s drinks?? Did you find anything about them??
Ranveer: That is what we are investigating. These are the guys who spiked Ishana’s drinks. (He shows the footage.) But their faces are not clear.
Ashwin: They didn’t want to get caught. What to do now??
Mahi: Sir, how if we show this footage to your friends?? Maybe they can identify these guys.
Ranveer: I will call Rudra and ask if they have met the waiter or not. (Ranveer went out to call Rudra leaving Mahi and Ashwin. Mahi looks at the laptop screen as she doesn’t want to talk to Ashwin. Ranveer comes after talking to Rudra.) They already met the waiter and right now they are at his house. I will show this footage and confirm with him if these are the guys who asked him to spike Ishana’s drinks. Let’s go, guys.
Mahi: (confused) Do you want me to follow as well??
Ranveer: Yes.
Ashwin: Why are you involving her??
Ranveer: She has helped us a lot. And she deserves to know the truth too. (He takes Mahi’s hand much to Ashwin’s surprise.) Let’s go, Ashwin. (They leave from there.)
CITY HOSPITAL
Gautham enters Pooja’s ward and sees her lying on the bed with her eyes closed. He goes and holds her hand. Pooja opens her eyes weakly and smiles in tears seeing her husband.
Gau: (in tears) Pooja.
Pooja: (weakly) Gautham.
Gau: I missed you.
Pooja: I missed you too. Why your face is looking pale?? You didn’t sleep properly??
Gau: How I will sleep without you beside me?? (Pooja smiles sadly.)
Pooja: Gautham, I want to tell you something.
Gau: What?? (Pooja takes his hand and places it on her tummy.)
Pooja: You are going to become a father. (Gautham cries.) What happened?? You are not happy??
Gau: Do you know how much I was expecting to hear this from you?? I was waiting for you to wake up and tell me that we are expecting a baby. (Pooja smiles happily.)
Pooja: Only you are here?? Where are AvNeil and Ishu??
Gau: They will come tomorrow.
Pooja: Any improvement in Ishu’s matter??
Gau: They are investigating about it. Don’t worry. Everything will be fine.
Pooja: I want to talk to them.
Gau: I will make a video call. (Gautham makes a video call to Avni. Avni answered the call. She smiles happily seeing Pooja awake.)
Avni: Pooja!! (She moves towards Neil who is holding Mishti in his arms. Neil too smiles in tears seeing Pooja.) You are awake!! How much we are longing to see you awake??
Pooja: Don’t cry, Avni. Your Pooja is back safely with our baby. Mishti is going to have a brother or sister soon.
Neil: Maybe both!!
Pooja: (blushes) Bhaiya!! (Gautham side hugs her.)
OBEROI MANSION
Omkara’s Room
Omkara is sketching something when he heard a mobile ringing.
Om: Ishana’s mobile. Video call. (He looks at the caller ID and knocks on the washroom’s door.) Ishana, Gautham is calling you.
Ishu: Answer it, sir. I will come in a while. (He hesitated a little.) Please, sir.
Om: Ok. (He answered the call.) Hi, Gautham. (Pooja is surprised to see Omkara answering the call.) Gautham, Ishana is in the washroom. She asked me to answer your call.
Gau: Pooja is awake. She wanted to talk to Ishu.
Om: How are you, Pooja?? I am happy that you have gained consciousness. Ishana was worried about you.
Pooja: I’m fine. How are you??
Om: I’m good. (Ishana comes that time.)
Ishu: Pooja. (She smiles in tears seeing Pooja.)
Pooja: Ishu, my baby. Your Pooja is back.
Ishu: I know you will be back. You are such a strong girl.
Pooja: Just like my Ishu. (OmGau smile seeing them.) Ishu, we are going to become a mother again.
Ishu: I know. Our baby only made you wake up this soon. (Pooja nods.) Gautham, when we can take Pooja home??
Gau: The doctor said that she needs to be under observation for some days.

Ashwin: Relax, Ranveer!! Control yourself!! (He pulls Ranveer from Manveer.)
Ranveer: Leave me, Ashwin!! This man….
Ashwin: Ranveer!! (He signals towards Mahi who is completely shocked with the happening.)
Ranveer: Priyanka, Soumya, take her out. (SouPri nod and walk towards Mahi.)
Soumya: Mahi!! (Mahi just stand like a statue. SouPri turn her and take her outside.)
Prinku: (shakes Mahi’s shoulder) Are you ok, Mahi??
Mahi: Ranveer sir is short-tempered?? First time I am seeing him like this.
Prinku: No, Mahi. You are mistaken. Ranveer is not short-tempered. You know whatever happened to my bhabhi, right?? He is doing what his friends would have done if they are here.
Mahi: His anger was correct too. I am not blaming him but I have never seen this before. That’s why I was shocked. But I should not be surprised because he is a cop. He should be like this.
Soumya: Chill, Mahi. Ranveer bhaiya is very sweet. (Mahi smiles. Soumya hugs her shoulders.)
Ranveer: Are these the guys who paid you to spike the drinks?? (Manveer looks at the video.)
Manveer: These are the guys, sir!!
Rudra: How are you so sure?? Their faces are not clear.
Manveer: Both of them were wearing same type of dress that night.

Ranveer: Fine. In case, if you see them or get any call from them, inform us. (He takes Manveer’s mobile and saves his number. Shivaay too gives his contact number to him. They leave from the house.)
Ashwin: Ranveer, where are other footages?? Have you checked all the footages??
Ranveer: Nope. We checked few camera footages only because there are more than 400 CCTV at the hotel.
Ashwin: We need to check other footages as well. Maybe, their faces might have been captured in some other CCTV.
Ranveer: Mahi was helping us with that actually. She will randomly watch any of the footage and will inform us if she found something important.
Rudra: Ranveer, who is this?? (He points towards Ashwin.)
Ranveer: I forgot to introduce. This is my friend, Ashwin. (He introduces ShivIka and RuMyaPri to Ashwin.) ShivIka, this is Mahi. She is working as a receptionist at Hotel Blue Diamond.
Shivaay: Ok. That’s why I felt like I have seen you before. (Mahi smiles at him.)
Ranveer: Let’s go back to SidLana’s house. (Looks at RuMyaPri) Come with us.
Prinku: How about Ishana bhabhi?? She must be alone there.
Shivaay: Don’t worry about her. Omkara is there with her.
Ranveer: We have no time now. Let’s go. Mahi, get inside.
Mahi: Sir, I’m coming with RuMyaPri.

Ashwin is sitting beside Ranveer.

Ranveer: I couldn’t control my anger seeing him. Feel glad that it was me. I don’t know what NeilGau would have done if they were in my place.
Ashwin: They might have spared him with one punch on his face. Because he is just an arrow, not the archer. We need to find out who is… nope… who are the archers and what is their enmity with IshNeilGau. At least, Ishana’s murderer tag can be removed.
Ranveer: Ishana’s name can be cleared easily but how she is going to accept…..
Ashwin: (confused) Accept what??

Ashwin: I took leave after finishing one murder case. I spent time with my family for one week. Then, I thought to visit all of you. I went to New Delhi to NeilGau’s house but the house was locked. I tried to call them but the call was not connected. That’s why I called you. I was so shocked when you cried. As I know you won’t cry easily. I realised something has happened. Do AvNeil and Gautham know that I am here??
Ranveer: (smiles) No. They must be surprised to see you here.
Ashwin: Let them be. How is your love story is going?? Have you confessed your love to her??
Ranveer: I told her ready but I didn’t ask for her reply. No time for that, yaar. Leave that. You tell me about yourself. How is your life is going??
Ashwin: My family is ordering me to get married as soon as possible. If I didn’t come here, they might find a girl and get me married to her.
Ranveer: Just get married, yaar. Why?? Are you not interested in marriage??

Sid: Not yet. Come inside. (All of them enter inside.) Did you meet the waiter??
Ranveer: Yes. Where are AvNeil??
Sid: In their room. Come with me. (He takes them to AvNeil’s room.)
AvNeil’s Room
Neil is just closing his eyes while Avni is feeding Mishti who already falls asleep. They heard the room door being knocked. Neil opens his eyes.
Avni: Come in. (Siddharth opens the door.) Bhaiya. (Siddharth enters followed by others. Ashwin is the last one to enter making AvNeil surprised.)
AvNeil: Ashwin!!?? (Ashwin goes and hugs Neil.)
Neil: When did you come, yaar??
Ashwin: (breaks the hug) Just a while ago. How are you now??
Neil: It’s better. It’s surprising to see you here. Why did you come here suddenly?? Any important work??
Ashwin: Yes. I came for you all.
Neil: For us?? (Ashwin nods. Neil hugs him.)
Ashwin: (breaks the hug and looks at Avni) How are you, Avni??
Avni: Good, Ashwin. How are you??
Ashwin: Good.
Neil: By the way, who is this?? (He asked looking at Mahi.)
Ranveer: Neil, I told you about the girl who helped us to get the hotel footage. (AvNeil nod their heads.) She is the one. Mahi.
Mahi: Mahishashuramarthini. (ShivIka and AvNeil looked surprise listening to her name.)
Avni: I think I have heard this name before. (She tries to recall.)
Ashwin: This is not important, Avni. (Mahi feels embarrassed which noticed by others.)
Ranveer: How rude!!??
Mahi: Leave it, sir. He is right. My name is not important to be discussed here. Tell them about our meeting with the waiter. (ShivRu tell them whatever Manveer said.)
Avni: Situation and money can make anyone do anything.
Neil: People will become blind if it comes to their loved ones.
Ranveer: Hey, Neil!! I will show you a video. The image is not clear but just see if you can identify them. (He shows the footage on his mobile.)
Neil: I couldn’t see their faces.
Shivaay: They hid their faces from the camera. Was Ishana having any problems with anyone??
Neil: Ishu won’t mingle with anyone easily. We are her closed ones.
Annika: During her school days, college days??
Neil: If like that she must have told us. She has received few proposals during her college days but she properly rejected them. And they also didn’t disturb her after that.

Avni: Rudra, besides marrying Ishu forcibly and tagging her as mistress, Omkara didn’t do anything. (RuMyaPriMa look at each other confusingly.)
Soumya: What are you saying, di?? We don’t understand.
Ranveer: Omkara didn’t try to molest Ishana that night. It was a misunderstanding.
Prinku: How do you know that??
Neil: Omkara told us.
Rudra: And you believed him. Three of us witnessed what he did to bhabhi.
Avni: What did you witness?? (She pushed Rudra on Soumya and both of them fell on the bed with Rudra on top of Soumya. Others are shocked and confused with Avni’s action.)
Neil: What have you done, Avni??
Avni: Sometimes we need to give example to prove the truth. This is what three of you witnessed that night, right?? Can I say that you are trying to molest Soumya now?? (RuMya look at her in surprise. ShivRanAsh helped Rudra to get up from Soumya while AniPriMa helped Soumya to get up.)
Mahi: Are you ok, Soumya??

Avni: I’m sorry, RuMya. I don’t have any other option than this. Whatever we see cannot be true all the time.
Neil: Avni is right. (He told whatever Omkara told just now. RuMyaPri are shocked to know this.)
Rudra: Why he didn’t tell us that night itself??

Neil: (shouts) Omkara didn’t make her pregnant!! (RuMyaPri and AshMa are completely shocked knowing this.) No one knows how she got pregnant and who did like that to her!! (Avni calms him when he started to wince in pain.)
Rudra: Ranveer, is this true??
