I require some time to relax after my latest project: Manav Gohil
Manav Gohil, known for his role in Main Hoon Aparajita alongside Shweta Tiwari, describes his experience on the project as fantastic. Having recently concluded shooting for the show, which premiered in September 2022, Manav shares that he is in no hurry to take on another television show. In a recent interview, the actor talked about it and shared that he hasn’t yet contemplated the type of role he wants to portray next on TV.
Here are some excerpts from our conversation:
“I require some time to relax after my latest project. Shooting for Main Hoon Aparajita demanded seven days a week and presented its challenges. Daily shows can be draining, but I have no complaints. I need some time off, and perhaps, I will travel to the mountains for a few days.”
Talking about his current projects, Manav shared, “I have just finished shooting for a Gujarati film, and I am eagerly anticipating the audience’s response. Although I haven’t been actively following the developments in the Gujarati film industry, I am aware of the significant advancements. Additionally, I would love to portray a dark character on an OTT platform.”
He concluded saying, “The dynamics of the Indian TV industry have undergone significant changes in recent times. If we consider shows like Buniyaad (1986-87) or the TV shows from the early ’90s, they were driven by content and invested heavily in good writing. Currently, most of our shows are primarily driven by commercial factors.”
