Actor Raqesh Bapat who is known for making his own Ganpati idol has taken his love for sculpting a step further by curating his own Ganpati idol DIY kit.
The actor has been encouraging everyone to go eco-friendly. During a recent interview with ETimes TV, he talked about it and shared, “My mom told me about this caretaker of a broken temple in my hometown in Pune. I used to go and sit with him. I would not disturb him and just observe. I used to ride my cycle on broken roads and go to meet him. For the longest time, I would just observe him how he creates an idol. I realized the power of observation is beyond anything. I have learned seeing him and how he would do it with such peace of mind. In today’s time, life is so busy all around, that creating something with patience is healing. Your mind and body are acting together. When you get lost in time and create something divine, it is a beautiful feeling.”
On the professional front, Raqesh was recently seen as the antagonist in the blockbuster Marathi film Sarsenapati Hambirrao.
