I don’t want to give any importance to Sara Khan: Ali Mercchant

Lock Upp contestant Ali Mercchant, who entered the show as a wildcard, managed to stay inside the Lock Upp against all the odds. He survived several evictions and tried to gave his best during some of the tasks.

Ali talked about his journey in the show during an interview with ETimes TV. Ali made it very clear that he doesn’t want to see his ex-Sara Khan’s face ever.

He said, “I am very happy with my overall journey. When I started on the show, I was feeling very alone and felt that I am being judged all the time. That feeling I was getting. They were also trying to get me out of the game. But slowly I started bonding with everyone and won a few hearts. Most importantly I won the audience’s hearts and the love I am getting from the audience is unbelievable.”

Talking about making friends in the show, Ali said, “Zeeshan Khan and Munawar Faruqui, I will always be in touch with them. I’ve formed a bond with them. I know after the show we will surely meet each other and chill together. We became good friends also because we would keep Ramazan together, do Sehri and Iftaar also together, it used to be a lot of fun. I met Zeeshan after coming out at a launch party. We have been in touch over calls and we are planning to meet on EID.”

Ali also talked about the allegations that he used his ex-Sara Khan to enter the show. He shared, “It was very tough and hurtful to be mocked that I was in the show because of my ex. I have moved on in my life and I wanted to utilize the chance I got through Lock Upp. I don’t have the habit of lying to cover up things. Now that I am out of the show, I just want to tell my ex- don’t take the limelight from me,” he said.

Ali concluded by saying, “People who think bad about others, good things never happen to them. She didn’t get the audience’s love neither the qaidis supported her. I am not one of those who use others for their own advantage or damage others’ work to benefit from it. I know a lot of people in this industry do stuff to be in the limelight and with me, an unfortunate controversy happened in the past where I was not even at fault. I don’t want to give any importance to her because I am doing well for myself and I am currently in the best phase of my life. I don’t want to malign anyone to be in the limelight. I don’t want to see my ex- Sara Khan’s face ever again.”
