Paras Kalnawat who rose to fame with his role as Samar in the popular show Anupamaa is super excited for Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. During a recent interview, the actor admit that it was indeed a big decision to quit a massive show like Anupamaa for doing Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.
Paras said, “I am not thinking of the past now. I have left a very big show like Anupamaa and am part of a dance show now. I feel destiny chose me to participate in Jhalak…and the platform, the competition, the steps, everything will be new for me. I don’t see this platform as a means to win but to compete with myself, to grow from episode 1 till the end.”
Paras had to put on weight for Anupamaa. Talking about it he shared, “I had put on weight while I was doing Anupamaa, so my biggest priority in the last few months was fitness. I underwent a strict low carbs diet and high-intensity workout in the gym every day for 2 hours. I have lost almost 7-8 kg in the last 6 months and this has only helped me in my dance rehearsals in the show. I am very nervous because I will be performing in front of judges.”
Paras also shared how he is a big fan of Madhuri Dixit. “When Madhuri ma’am entered the set, I had goosebumps, because she is gorgeous and has a positive aura around her. I am looking forward to seeing her regularly now and also other judges like Karan Johar and Nora Fatehi. It will be a great learning ground for me.”
Amidst all this, Paras is happy that his mother has supported him in his decisions. “My mother has been my biggest source of inspiration and she has supported me in all my decisions. She always says if you put your 100 percent into anything, you will meet with success,” he concluded.
