Priyanka’s car stopped infront of Anika’s house . Gauri and Anika were both having tea and were talking to each other, when Priyanka got near them. Both stood up being shocked
‘’Ms.Priyanka ..you are here?’’ Anika reacted being surprised
‘’exactly …Priyanka Mam you are here?’’ Gauri Exclaimed
‘’do you know each other?’’ Priyanka questioned
‘’Not completely, but I offered Gauri to stay in my house as a paying Guest’’ Anika replied
‘’that’s nice..can I also have some tea Anika?’’ Priyanka tried to mingle
‘’yeah sure… ‘’ Anika went in while Guari didn’t know what to speak.
‘’Anika didi..i mean Anika…I will come tomorrow with all the documents so that we can have the police verification done and day after tomorrow I will shift ..i will take your leave now. ‘’ Gauri smiled and bid bye to both the ladies
Priyanka was not knowing how to start the conversation
‘’you can say anything Ms.Priyanka…you need not feel uncomfortable’’ Anika tried to ease the situation
‘’We are sorry Anika. It was not your mistake. I have come here to apologise on behalf of all 3 of us. ‘’ She folded her hands
‘’Priyanka please’’ Anika held her hands
‘’No Anika…my dadi says..we must apologise when we did wrong’’
‘’You didn’t do any wrong. You appointed me for some purpose and I didn’t serve the purpose , so you terminated me. I didn’t feel bad because I was terminated. I felt bad because I couldn’t prove my ability’’
‘’that’s what is our mistake. We cannot judge abilities based on a single deal. This time Shivaay bhayya’s decision was wrong and he shouldn’t have decided in a hurry. ‘’
‘’I didn’t understand what you are trying to say’’ Anika replied
Priyanka explained everything about the deal. This startled Anika.
‘’Anika I know you were being humiliated a lot and what Shivaay bhayya has done is absolutely wrong ..but we cannot let go an awesome talent like you. I request you to join the office from tomorrow. And I personally will see to it that you wouldn’t face any further issues of this sort’’ Priyanka concluded
‘’I will think about it Priyanka. I need time, because in couple of days I have seen and underwent a lot. Your Bhayya doesn’t like me as a person, he doesn’t like me as an employee and when there is a problem between employee and employer the output from any talent will never be proper. It will become more difficult for me to join back. ‘’
‘’Anika please..this time I assure , you wouldn’t face any such issues’’
‘’I know..but I need time ..i really cannot decide…moreover before your brother sends any mail to anyone I have to plan about my younger brothers future and for that I …’’ Anika didn’t complete
‘’Can I come in’’ a voice was heard and both Anika and Priyanka looked at the direction from where the voice came
‘’I asked you can I come in’’
‘’I can’t believe you came here actually‘’ Priyanka exclaimed
Anika stood still in shock unable to believe what she was seeing.
‘’why are you both surprised?’’ he again spoke
This brought Anika back to reality…she just looked at him and when he was about to say something,
‘’I think you both must sort out personally. I am leaving now Anika and Shivaay bhayya. Anika I would be the happiest person if you join back. Expecting to see you tomorrow in office’’ Prinku spoke and left from there
Anika smiled at Prinku , after she left…. Anika turned towards Shivaay
‘’Woh..woh..actually..i have..i have come here to say’’ Shivaay was finding it hard to apologise.
‘’Forget it Mr.Shivaay Singh Oberoi , you can never apologise and I don’t need your apologies too…’’ she stopped him in middle being upset
‘’I never turn back to anyone Ms.Anika, but today I misjudged you, so came here to ask you to rejoin…I asked you to leave and now I am here asking you to rejoin’’ Shivaay spoke
‘’really Mr.Oberoi…when you screamed on first day of my office, it was your mistake even then, that day you misjudged me’’ Anika replied
Shivaay was about to say something when
‘’I think you must also leave now Mr.Oberoi..i am sure I am not coming tomorrow or ever again to your office. I just couldn’t say this directly to your sister, because I can’t hurt her’’
‘’That means …You can hurt me?’’ Shivaay spilled the words that ran inside his mouth out
‘’what?’’ Anika exclaimed looking at him
‘’noth..nothing’’ SSO set his hair
‘’I had said what I wanted to say..i cant change my decision for you’’ Anika didn’t give a damn to Shivaay
Shivaay TAM ‘’this girl is making me do all those which I never ever can do for anyone except my family. Gaawwwwddd, where am I stuck.’’
Anika TAM ‘’He really came to ask me to join back and also he is standing here after I spoke to him so rude..but why? He has so many shades, I have seen so many colours of him in couple of days..what is he? Should I think of rejoining back or should I stick to what I said.. Gaawwwddd where am I stuck. Let me do onething…let him plead me more then I will think of changing my decision else I wouldn’t join’’
Shivaay ‘’I can give you a better deal if you rejoin’’
Anika ‘’are you trying to bribe me. No one can bribe me Mr.Shivaay’’
Shivaay ‘’first listen to the deal’’
Anika ‘’no way’’
Shivaay pulled her towards him and twisted her hand while she stayed closer to his chest and her eyes fixed on him. They both got lost in the eyelock. Only heavy breaths were being heard…After a brief eyelock, they both parted and he tried to make situation normal by
‘’will you now listen to me’’
She didn’t reply
‘’You need not call me SIR. ‘’
She looked at him with wide eyes
‘’I will make a new agreement that you can leave the company anytime and need not pay any compensation. You will have extra leaves and a company car. Your brother’s education expenses to be taken care by us. And anything else you would want, you can put forth’’
Anika smiled infact laughed startling Shivaay
‘’Why are you laughing?’’
‘’I said right..one day I will make you agree to all my words . I didn’t know that, that day will come so soon’’ she again laughed
Shivaay TAM ‘’if MY Anika would have been here today and if my state was the same , she would also have laughed like this. made fun of me. Pulled my hair and teased me. I would love to get done all these by her. Where are you Anika’’
‘’I am here Mr.Oberoi. where are you looking at?’’ Anika brought back Shivaay from his thoughts
‘’whaat?’’ …’’I mean You will be coming back tomorrow right?’’
‘’yes..but I don’t need any favours except for that calling you SIR. I don’t want to be treated specially. When my work speaks I would take it as my perk till then let me be as I am Mr.Oberoi’’ Anika replied.
Shivaay smiled and turned to go when Anika called him back and gave him his black coffee… he looked at her in surprise
‘’I know you love black coffee…I mean I have observed you in office. I thought you would require it at this point. So have it. You came for the first time in my house’’ she spoke .
He took the cup and had a sip closing his eyes, relaxing himself in the sofa. Anika looked at him with a pleasant smile.
Shivaay’s thoughts went back to his childhood memories with every sip he was taking
Shivaay TAM ‘’
“ Khadoos…where are you?’’
‘’Stupid I am here..find me ‘’
‘’I will not find you khadoos, you will yourself come to me as I am going to Tej Uncle’s room’’
‘’whaat ? No…don’t do that Bade papa will scold you’’
‘’really? Will he not scold you for trying to taste his black coffee hiding?’’
‘’Ohh no..not again …how do you find that everytime Stupid’’
‘’because I know you. I am your Stupid forever’’
‘’Finally you caught me Stupid. Now before Bade papa comes let us move out of here’’
‘’why do you like this black coffee so much?’’
‘’I don’t know , I just love it’s aroma ‘’
‘’
“Why do you love Black coffee so much Mr. Oberoi?’’ Anika asked bringing him out of his thoughts
‘’I don’t know, I Just ‘’ when Shivaay was about to complete his sentence, Anika spoke
‘’ love the aroma ’’ she spoke instinctively
Shivaay looked shocked and spoke ‘’how do you know that I love the aroma of black Coffee’’
‘’I donno…I …I just guessed’’ She felt uneasy when she gave the answers
‘’ohh…okay’’ he smiled a little , completed his coffee and stood up to go
‘’So..see you Ms.Anika tomorrow in Office’’
‘’not tomorrow after two days’’
‘’Why? I mean if I can ask you?’’
‘’A new tenant is gonna join me, I have to complete the formalities in these two days’’
‘’ok..fine then..see you soon’’ he prepared himself to leave
‘’Yeah’’ she smiled
He took two steps and turned towards her and spoke ‘’I..I AM SORRY’’
She stood still with eyes wide open, while he left from there without looking back at her
He started his car and along with his car his thoughts also travelled to his childhood
‘’ ‘’ Khadoos..give me my card back..’’
‘’no … if this card is not for me, then I am not giving it back to you stupid’’
‘’it’s for my friend in school. It’s his birthday tomorrow’’
‘’ohh friend…then for sure I am not gonna give you’’
‘’please khadoos, I will get another card for you’’
‘’Stupid I don’t need any other card’’
Shivaay tore the card into pieces and Anika stood there crying. Dadi came to them and took Anika in a hug.
‘’Anika beta..why are you crying?’’
‘’dadi ji…Shivaay ..this khadoos has tore my card’’ she said pointing her finger towards the pieces of card and Shivaay
‘’Billu …come here…what you have done is wrong…and when you do wrong you should apologise without any apprehension…come on say sorry to Anika..right now’’
‘’I will not say Sorry Dadi…I am and should be her only friend, best friend or whatever… I will allow no one else…’’ he left from there angrily
Dadi tried to make Shivaay apologise , but she knew only both of them can resolve their matters…so she just smiled and asked Anika to go to Shivaay and resolve the matter. Anika nodded and went to his room
‘’Khadoos…this was an ordinary card for him. I made a special card for you. He is just my friend and you are best friend. Why did you tear it. I felt so bad when you did that’’ Stupid put her hand on Khadoos’s shoulder and spoke wiping her tears
Khadoos turned towards her and hugged her ‘’I AM SORRY. I SHOULDN’T HAVE DONE SO’’
‘’it’s ok khadoos. You said sorry and I am happy’’
‘’Stupid ..listen ..i am not gonna say sorry to anyone except to my family members and YOU..remember this’’
Anika smiled and hugged her khadoos, while khadoos reciprocated the hug.

Suddenly Shivaay applied brakes and came back to reality
Shivaay TAM ‘’Why did I say Sorry to her. How easily I said her sorry. Why didn’t I feel inconvenient while saying sorry to her. What connection do I have with her ? Her name is Anika..but is she my STUPID? I think I should find more about her‘’
He applied brakes to his thoughts and drove to his house.
