Chapter 4
He stood up for me

The chapter starts with Neil feeding desert cake to Avni.

“Avni, why do you look so beautiful today?” He asked her as he stared at his eyes.

She blushed hearing him.

“Why do you look so handsome today?” She asked.

He also blushed as he smiled.

Avni looked around and noticed that some boys were staring at her.

“Neil, can we please go now?” She asked him.

“Avni, but why?” He questioned her.

“Some boys are staring at me” she said, as she hesitated.

“Avni, if any guy tries to talk to you or tries to touch you, they are going to die” he said in anger.

“Neil, no please. You have to control your anger” she said.

“But Avni” he said, wanting to say something else but she interrupted him.

“No Neil, if you really love me, then you will have to control you anger. Just for me please” she said.

“Fine, just for you because I love you” he said.

“Let’s go, it’s about to start” he said.

“What’s about to start?” She asked.

“I can’t tell until we reach there, it’s a surprise” he said.

“Ohhh. Neil I don’t like it when you just call me “Avni” she said.

“What do you want me to call you?” He asked.

“I want you to call me ‘Avni Sweetheart’, like you use to call me in college days” she said, as she tucked her hair behind her ears.

“OK Avni sweetheart, I’ll do whatever you say” he said.

The scene shifts where Avneil are sitting together and waiting for the movie to start. Neil feeds popcorn to Avni, while she also feeds popcorn to him. Some girls were staring at him, since he is so damn handsome. Avni noticed this and she suddenly crashed her lips on his lips. He was amazed by her, he cupped her cheeks and started to kiss her harder. The girls that were staring at him got jealous of Avni. They broke the kiss, as they want to breath. He just stared at her in amazed.

“What happened Neil? Haven’t you felt me kissing you before?” She asked as she smiled.

“No it’s not that, but I am amazed, that you kissed me in public” he asked.

“So I did wrong?” She asked.

“No it’s not that” he said.

“Then what?” She asked.

He did not say anything but he again cupped her face and kissed her again. The movie was starting and Avneil broke the kiss.

Neil was holding Avneil hand.

“I can’t believe this, I was waiting for this movie to release. Now here it is. Finally, thanks so much Neil for bringing me here” she said.

“Sshh” he said, as he placed his finger on her lips.

“Avni, thanks for making my life so perfect, I can’t imagine my life with you. You deserve all this” he said, as he kissed her cheeks.

“I wish there was an sofa instead of these seats” she said.

“Why?” She asked.

“So I can sit so close to you” she said.

“Avni” he said, as he tickled her.

They were now watching the movie.

1hr later..

The song Aah Toh Sahi came.

“Oh God, Taapsee is killing me with her beauty” he said, intentionally trying to tease Avni.

Avni got jealous and Neil started to laugh at her.

“Avni, I’m just joking you know na. No one is more beautiful accept for you my sweetheart Avni. Oh I keep forgetting to call you sweetheart” he said.

“Neil, I know you always try to make me jealous but it never works because I know that you are not interested in any girl accept for me” she said.

The movie now finished.

Avneil were getting out of their seats but they fell on each other.

“Yuck this girl is ruining the Indian culture” a women yelled.

Avneil got up and stared at the woman.

There was a crowd that were standing around Avneil.

“This is very cheap, this girl kissed him in front of everyone, this is disgusting” a man yelled.

“She was even flirting with him” a teenager yelled.

“Why can’t this girl do this at home alone?” Another woman yelled.

“Maybe her mother has given her these teachings” another girl laughed.

“Stop it” Neil yelled in anger.

“Don’t you have any shame? How can you say words like that to a women. Yes she was flirting and she was kissing me. I was doing that too. No one complained when I did that. We love each other, we are old enough to know what we should do and what we shouldn’t do. We are not ruining the Indian culture it’s you all who ruins it. Change your thinking people. Your thinking is disgusting, not her. You call my girlfriend disgusting? You have no idea how much she has suffered in life. She has always been a strong girl. She has always been there for me. Just because she is girl, it doesn’t mean that she is not allowed to kiss and flirt. Girls should equally be loved. If anyone again says a word against her, I will kill that person right now” he said shouting.

Avni wiped her tears and held his hand and Avneil left the place.

Avni: Neil, thankyou so much for supporting me. I am speechless. How can I say thankyou? I am really grateful to have you as my boyfriend. Thanks so much Neil.

Neil: Avni, who else will stand up for me if I don’t. I am ready to fight with each person in this world, just for you! Anyways don’t cry and let’s go shopping.
