Rihaai: Shot 4 

Riddhima nodded in yes taking the glass from Julia, and sipped it all in one go. Wiping her sweat, she moved forward while Julia accompanied her.

“Y..you called me?” Riddhima asked standing at the door seeing him talking to Angre.

“Yeah sit here for a while.” Vansh said going back to his talks.

Riddhima silently sat, looking at the clock which was ticking at 2:30 at that time. She looked at Vansh who was working on his laptop along with discussion with Angre which was out of her head. She closed her eyes resting her head back.

Opening her eyes after a while, she looked at the clock which struck 4. Mentally patting herself she saw no one in there and stood up moving to the door.

Vansh was there, talking to Angre.

Why does he talk so much?

Riddhima mumbled to herself with a frown.

“Don’t forget what I said Vansh. Bye Bhabhi.” Angre bidded and left.

Vansh looked towards Riddhima with his cold eyes, and indicated her to sit on his chair. She silently did so, and he opened up the laptop.

Surfing through few websites, he clicked on one. And Riddhima’s lips curved I to a smile. It was, her wildest dream college. Where she never thought she would go.

“Amity” Her lips lightly whispered. While Vansh, adored her with a slight smile.

“This is it, your UG, PG whatever you want to do will be done from here. Amity University. Best of the bests.” Vansh said showing her all the degrees she could do.

“Fill your form, and then you will be joining soon.” Vansh finished with a smile.

Riddhima stood up and jumped, and out of her realisation she hugged Vansh murmuring thousands of thankyous to him while tears brimmed her eyes.

“Is it important to cry every time?” Vansh asked, and to her epiphany she left him awkwardly.

“Tears of joy, people say.” Riddhima scoffed.

And here she came, Ahaana.

“Hi bro how’s it’s going?” Ahaana hugged Vansh while Riddhima rolled her eyes.

“Hi Riddhima. I am sorry for that time. I am Ahaana. And I lied everything. I am Vansh’s best friend and best friend’s wife.” She said hugging Riddhima making a kissing sound.

“Umm..Riddhima. She is Ahaana. Angre’s wife and my sister cum best friend. So whatever you understood was wrong.” Vansh said to Riddhima.

Riddhima clicked her tongue out tapping her forehead. But at last, she was happy for what she wanted.

“Can you help me fill the form? I haven’t used laptop.” Riddhima said, a little sadly.

Ahaana left giving them their time, while both inludged in filling the form.

“MBA” Vansh said.

“Noo! Biotechnology!” Riddhima corrected him.

“A 4 year course. You sure?” Vansh asked and she nodded in yes many times in excitement.

5 years later

“Riddhima Rai Singhania. A very efficient student. She has been selected as the head technician in her bio bubble. All the best to you all for you upcoming life.” The announcement rushed a wave of happiness among the students.

It was just Riddhima, who took it as her motive. Other were here, sadly, as they couldn’t pass up their NEET exams.

“It’s ok Sejal. Sometimes life has decided something more good for you. Look! You are having a good life! Not so hectic, connected to all?” Riddhima tried to cheer up her friend..

“I know Riddhima. Leave and tell now finally after so many years Noida is pushing you out. How do you feel?” Sejal asked.

“I don’t know. I never thought. Let’s see what happens.” Riddhima smiled.

“Riddhima!!” Ahaana’s voice squealed

Riddhima happily hugged Ahaana, while Vansh and Angre were watching it happen.

“Congratulations Riddhima. A gift from my side.” Vansh said handing over a paper.

Divorce papers

Riddhima looked at Vansh, who blinked in conformation.

“You are free to have rights in your life. I know you were forced just like me, so I can’t bound you for m..I mean I can’t bound you for everyone’s sake” Vansh said looking at her eyes.

Her eyes spoke a thousand words, while she was silent. Sighing, Riddhima tore the papers and they were all in the air.

“The After 5 months we spent, and I realised after that, I missed your presence, your…I don’t what but… I LOVE YOU.” Riddhima smiled at him, while his happiness had no bounds to it.

Vansh hugged her tightly, murmuring thankyous just like she did, years ago.

Flashback

” Vansh. You are the one who needs to initiate. She is young to understand all these things. But you should think na? She left her house, her family to live with unknown people. Will it be nice if you make Ishani marry someone she doesn’t know?” Ahaana patted his back wiping her tears.

“Of course I am angry, she’s young to get married. But moreover I am sad that you acted as a child more than her ” Angre says to Vansh.

Vansh took a noisy slurp of his whiskey, silently listening to the couple’s advices.

“So what should I do?” Vansh asked and both of them chuckled.

“Keep her happy and let her feel free”

Flashback ends

Sitting on the bed, Riddhima viewed the room, black and purple and better than before. Vansh sat next to her with a sigh,  and Riddhima shyly kept playing with her wedding ring.

” You didn’t answer, Vansh.” Riddhima said hesitantly.

Vansh slowly took her hand in his, tracing them and looked into her eye, coming close to her.

Their lips fused, for a little long time, nibbling and chewing Vansh broke the kiss feeling her out of breath.

Their foreheads in touch, and both heavily breathing.

“Rihaa kar do aaj in pardon se,

hum tumhare Hain Sanam

Ab tumhare saath hi rehna chahti hun

Agle saaton janam”

Vansh smiled, kissing her forehead.

“Ho jaana Rihaa”

And the lights went of, when the two souls became one, binded for lifetime.
