Hina Khan, who is currently battling stage 3 br*ast cancer, has made a brave decision to shave her head as a proactive step to avoid stress and depression. The actress, known for her iconic roles and stylish pixie haircut, recently shared her journey on Instagram, expressing her determination to focus on her mental and physical well-being.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Hina, donning a red t-shirt and holding a razor, bid farewell to her beloved pixie cut. She wrote about how much she loved the pixie style and expressed her hope to return to it once her hair grows back, saying, “Insha Allah… But for now… The Pixie says Adios. Coz it’s time to Buzz IT OFF!”
Hina, who has been in a long-term relationship with Rocky Jaiswal, revealed her plan to wear wigs when necessary but emphasized her commitment to embracing her bald look with pride. In a clip, the Bigg Boss 11 star showed snippets of hair falling on her pillow after a chemotherapy session, highlighting the emotional and physical toll of the treatment. To maintain her mental health and reduce stress, Hina decided to take control by shaving her head, explaining, “I really, really want to work on it, stay positive, be happy, and do all the possible things ki yeh joh meri journey hai mujhe koi mentally stress na hoh (My journey should not give me mental stress).”
In the video, Hina shared her desire to avoid the distress of losing hair gradually. “It is very stressful and depressing. I do not want to go through that. Mujhe ussei pehle hi mere joh control mei hai mujhe uss steps lene hai (I want to take charge of what is in my control).” She emphasized the importance of mental strength, even amidst physical pain, and encouraged other women facing similar challenges to prioritize their mental well-being.
Hina, who also participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 13, delivered an empowering message to women undergoing difficult times. She advised, “I know how hard it is. It is very, very stressful, painful. Don’t put yourself through all this. Simply buzz it off before it starts falling. That’s what I am going to do.
