“So shivaay.. If someone is coming home next time.. please ask them to buy me a bigger cupboard… it’s too small yaar” Anika laughs and pats on shivaay’s shoulders.

While he rolls his eyes. “You’re crazy” he says and taps her head lightly.

“And you are cute!” She says smiling.

Both gets up and walked out.
While Anika went inside the kitchen to wash her plate, shivaay was about to leave to his room. As he was passing by the dining table he saw something on it and quickly grabbed it before Anika could notice it.

Anika who was quick enough to wash her plate, came out to see Shivaay nervous. She scanned him top to bottom and found out that he was hiding something behind in his arms.

“What is that ??” Anika casually asks.
“Err… kuch nayi.. kuch nayi..” he stammers.

Anika shrinks her eyes and giving him a “are you hiding something?” kind of a look she walks around him to see what’s in his hand.

He quickly puts it inside his tee shirt and fake a smiles. Now Anika was furious.

“Liar!!!! What is that? Tell me what is that?” She asks and starts chasing him.

Shivaay runs around the house. He jumps on the sofa, makes a U-turn, runs across the hall, enters his room, jumps over the bed, keeps dodging and running away from Anika.

Suddenly Anika kneels down near the bed. “Ahhhh, my ankle. It’s twisted.” She shouts and bends her head down with pain seen in her face.

Shivaay rushes to her and grabs her ankle. “Are you alright?? Why do you want to know it so badly??” He asks with concern.

Anika chins up and was with her naughtiest smile.

“Got you!” She says taking advantage of his act of concern. She grabs his collar and stands up and they both trip and fall on the bed.

Shivaay was busy seeing her happily trying to take it away from him. Anika started tickling him and finally he gave up and took it out.

It was a photograph of a girl in her mid-twenties. She was quite pretty, with let loose silky brunette hair, hazel eyes and a small cute smile. Her  red laced short gown made her look even prettier.

”Sister?” She asks still guessing else.

Shivaay facepalms.
“She’s the recent marriage alliance mom has got me” he says avoiding an eye contact.

Anika looks at him with a shock but surprisingly she laughed the next moment.

“She is so cute. But i pity her. Seriously dude. I mean… how can someone deal with your OCD. Only i can..” she trails.. when shivaay chokes.

Anika realises what she blurted.
“I mean.. as a friend. I took a bruise because of your OCD. If’s she going to be your wife and if you twist her hand at any point just because she pushed your sofa 3 degrees away.. i wont come with you to your mother-in-law’s house to clear your husband-wife dispute” she says and teases him.

Shivaay rolls his eyes.
“She is coming here to Bangalore, this weekend itseems. Mom wants me to meet her in a 5star hotel… you know.. like a “date”. He says with a sombre.

“Haha.. Gandhiji on a date! That’s creepily romantic!” She giggles.

“But the main twist here is… im not a “dating” kind if guy” shivaay says and closes his face in embarrassment.

Anika with a curious face, “So that means, you have previous experiences?” She asks.

Shivaay nods still with his face buried in his hands. Slowly peeping out from his fingers.. “I squeezed ketchup on the girl’s head on my last date” he said.

Anika burst into laughter and falls down the bed. She didnt care about it. She just brushed the dust of her and continued laughing.

“Stop it! It’s embarrassing.” He says with a low tone.

She controls her laughter keeping her hand on her mouth. “Why the hell did you do that????” She asks.

“When we were in the middle of talking, she called me Cute and ruffled my hair. MY HAIR!! Hence she had to face it” he says with a childish angry voice.

“Areyy baba.. she called you cute but all you could notice is she ruffling your hair?? Girls usually dont call someone cute unless they secretly like him” She says with a serious face.

“Haha.. even you called me cute a while ago. Does that mean you secretly like me?” He casually asks.

Both widened their eyes. After an awkward pause,

“Acha suno..How about i make you ready for the date ??” She asks him determined.

“What will you do.. are you gonna buy me dating clothes and teach me romantic dance steps??” He rolls his eyes and jokingly asks.

Making a pout, Anika goes into her thought process. “Exactly” she says with a evil smile.

He jawdrops and says “Noooo”
She shows her teeth and says “yessss”

“What is her name by the way??” She asks.

Shivaay looks at the backside of the photograph and says “Nainika”

” Shivaay and Nainika”
“So it is…. Mission shivika”

Anika says and has a victorious smile on her face.” I hope my date table doesnt have a ketchup bottle” Shivaay mentally prays.

Anika does a hifi with Shivaay and heads back to her bedroom.

Shivaay was mentally preparing himself for another terrible date while Anika was googling all the nice suit stores nearby in her mobile phone.

Dusk turned dawn and early the next morning shivaay had to leave for a work. He was all suited up and when he was about to go, he was distracted as to what Anika would be doing now.

He slowly tip toed and peeped into her room to see her sleeping with her mouth wide open.

He enters inside and gently bending down he pushes her lower jaw up, so that she closes her mouth.

She snuggles inside her duvet and quickly pulls her freezing leg inside the warm duvet.

He switches off the AC and opens the window for a breeze. With a smile that popped up from nowhwere he walks out of the house.
