Anika was busy getting ready for work. She jumped into her more comfortable casuals and not-so-perfect pony tail.

She was munching her morning toast, when her mobile phone gets a ping.

Vicky had come as usual in the morning and was watching a cricket match in the hall.

“Vicky read me the last message that i received right now” she shouts from the kitchen.

“Omg. Anika.. Mr.Gandhiji is saying that he’ll be back from the market in 5 mins” vicky says it pretty shocked while Anika hides her giggle seeing him like that.

“Bhooth”
“Gandhiji is alive!!!!!!!”
“He is in the market!!!!!”
“He is coming her in 5 mins!!!”

“Anika… run, ghost is coming home!!!”
He screams and jerks here and there.

Anika continues laughing. While shivaay enters with a shopping bag.
“Gandhiji.. i thought you saved my number as kaanji aakhon wala ??” He asks Anika with a curious face.

Anika shrugs her shoulders and wearing her sling bag across, she side-hugs shivaay and walks out.

Vicky couldnt understand what just  happened.

“Wait a minute.. she smiled at you, you smiled at her, she hugged you, and you hugged her back??????” He was seriously out of belief.

Shivaay just smiled and shouts SIX!!! as he sits down to watch the match.

“Shivaay? You both are okay?” He asks. “More than okay..i guess!” Shivaay smiles back.

“Infact, we both are friends now. Officially” shivaay says and pulls his collar up.

“No wayy! Dude.. Are you sure her brain is working well?? Vicky again in confusion.

After a brief explanation about their steps of friendship Vicky nods.
“But be careful buddy. I hope you dont kicked on your nuts anytime sooner” vicky teases.

Both of them chitchats for a while and kicks off to work. And the usual irritating monday runs down with  expected hectic schedule and work.

Anika returns home early and getting into her casual night wear she was eating popcorn and listening to songs.

She hears several knocks on the door. So she quickly jumps down and opens it to find shivaay all sweaty and panting.

“Congratulations! You have won 1st place in running race. But why are you running all of a sudden??” Anika teases.

“Shhh” he says and picks her up in bridal style quickly and closes the door.

Anika jawdrops and tries to wiggle away from his hold. “What.. what are you doing shivaay???” She silent-yells.

He ignores her calls and takes her to her room and looks around.
“All clear..i dont find any girly stuff anywhere in your room. Good thing you have everything in your cupboard” he says and puts her inside her cupboard.

“Anika, silently listen to me. Please dont start with your tantrums. See.. my mom is coming home in 10mins all of a sudden. Please please please stay inside this cupboard and dont come out. Ill manage to send her out soon. Please will you do that for me please???” He pleads.

Anika pokes her chin and gets into thinking. “Fine. But promise me that you’ll buy me Aloo puri in return” she asks for a deal.

“Wah! It looks like i can even hide a deadbody if i buy her food itseems” Shivaay thinks to himself and says “fine” and joins the deal.

Hearing the knock at the door, he looks at Anika and she nods in assurance. Shivaay cups her face and places a forehead kiss without thinking and rushes out thanking her.

Anika is taken aback with his kiss and touches her forehead rewinding the moment. She takes in deep breaths and slowly smiles.

Shivaay mother wasnt ready to leave immedietly. She had come across Bangalore to attend a wedding nearby. She kept asking him to return back home.

“Beta, i can understand that you are willing to stand on your own legs. But my question is.. what is the need ??? We Oberois own most of the properties in the country. Just come back and manage any one of our companies…”
She says but was cut in the middle by shivaay.

“Maa, you dont understand. I dont wanna be under my dad’s support. I wanna create my own identity and not wanna be called son of oberoi’s !!” He says and the next minute he receieves a ping.

“You are THE SHIVAAY SINGH OBEROI??” It read.

He smiles and turns to the direction of her room and there she was crawling and peeping the door with her jaw dropping. He replies back,

No I’m THE GANDHIJI!!

He again turns to see her smiling. And now he signals her to go back to her cupboard.

Clock was ticking by. It was 7, 8, 9 and finally 10 when his mother was about to leave. Shivaay gets a call and his mother being a typical indian mother peeps in and reads the name.

“Monkey?? A monkey is calling you?” She asked him with a weird face.

“Err… it’s nothing. Just get in the car, its getting late. You have to reach home soon” he says and nearly pushes her out.

She just wouldnt leave her Heera beta alone here. She kept instructing him how to be, this and that.. and it took her nearly half an hour to complete.

He quickly waved her a bye and runs inside to look upon Anika who starved 4 whole hours just because of his mother.

He opened her room door and swiftly opened her cupboard door as well.

There he saw her, all perspirated and tired. She had crouched herself to fit inside the cupboard and the huge foodie herself had stayed hungry.

He gently picks her up from there and placed her flat of the bed. Combing her hair smoothly he nearly whispered her to wake up because he wasnt ready to disturb her peaceful face with any noises.

He rummages through his mobile to find her last message at 9:15pm.

“I’m hungry”

He felt guilty for letting her into this state. He quickly rushes to the kitchen and prepares Aloo poori in no time.

Coming back to her room and with a naughty evil smirk, brings the food near her nose.

Like a coma patient coming into consciousness, she opens her eyes in a jiff with excitement clearly pouring out of it when she sniffed Aloo puri’s smell.

She gobbles up the entire dish in minutes as is there is no tomorrow and looks at shivaay only at the end.

“Aloo puri was mindblowing. But hey, sorry Materchef. I coukdnt attend you first cooking class today. Do i get any punishments?” She asks innocently.

His eyes wells up and a tight hug popped up from nowhere and he was literally broken for locking her inside a cupboard.

“Hey come on shivaay. Everything is fair when mom arrives suddenly. What can you do.. i can understand” she tries to console him.

Shivaay starts giggling amidst his tears, “you and your senseless ready-made proverbs” he says and pokes her forehead.
