With hands locked from behind, she kept hugging him untill she realises and tries breaking the hug.

While he grabs her hands again from front and tightens her hold.

“Another two more minutes. I miss my home now” he says closing his eyes and feeling her soft touch. She smiles and places her forehead on his back.

After 2 minutes, he releases his hold and turns to face her. He chuckles. “So, what’s with this Burkah thing?? It hides your pretty face” he says and pulls the head scarf. All her hair strands point different direction.

He chuckles again and starts hand-combing her hair to set it right.

“Well, actually… it’s a muslim wedding that we are event managing. So this was a dress code” she complains like a small child and gives him a tight smile. She takes off the burka.

He pouts looking at her innocence.
She finds him in the middle of trimming his beard. Beard on one cheek was trimmed while it was still 0.2mm longer on the other side.

She grabs his trimmer and starts trimming his beard. He was surprised yet chined up to get his free trimming done.



Suddenly, “Ahhh” he slips an audible sound. Anika was way more scared.

“Ahhhhhhhhh” she corally shouts and giving him a scared look.

“Where did i cut?? Tell me it’s not paining. Oh my god, it’s paining isn’t it? Damn it was my first time. Shit! I cut your neck. I killed you…” she keeps ranting untill shivaay cuts her in middle.

“Hey.. hey… im fine. Just a small cut. It was your first time. You did great by not chopping off my head” he jokes gaining a smack on his back from anika.

“Shut up. Wait here. Ill bring the ice cubes” she says running to the fridge.

Bringing some in hand she places one of it on his cut skin. He hissed. While she was hurt seeing gim in pain.

“Shivaay please punish me”  she whines casually without knowing the consequences.

Immedietly Shivaay picks one of the ice cubes and puts it behind her neck. It falls directly inside sliding down her back.

Widening her eyes, she starts jumping up and down. “Shivaay.. you dog!!!  Get this thing out of me!!!!” She shouts and continues jumping.

Shivaay laughs hysterically. And after getting a lot of screams from Anika he bites his upper lip and control his laughter.

Signalling her to stop he nears her. Moving shapelessly she tolerates the icy feeling that was tingling behind her back.

He gently snakes his hand behind her waist, sending shivers throughout her body. Ice cube didnt matter at all now.
It was rather hot in here, than the coldness the ice cube was creating. 

He trails his hand to the back of her neck and picks the ice cube out from her shirt. Fortunately it hadn’t gone too far down.

“Ice cube” she says and asks for it.
“Hot” he slips his tongue.
“What? She asks with a clueless reaction.

“It’s.. uh… it’s hot in here. See?!? The ice cube is melting!” He stammers and runs away to his room.

Anika chuckles and goes back to her room shaking her head.

Next morning, the two week of her rent period kept alarming his mind. “14 days” was what scaring shivaay.

Shivaay kept trying to talk to Anika while she kept rushing for work.

“Anika.. ek minute suno na..” shivaay goes behind her like a puppy.

“Hmm bol” she says but with absence of concentration.

“Arey.. Just look at me !!” Shivaay was quite angry now.

“Arey bol na.. mera kuch kaam hai.. jaldi bolo..” she says and continues rummaging through her files and folders.

Grabbing her elbow he pulls her behind which by the way finally results her to spin and fall on his chest.

“I said listen !” He says and lifts her chin up. She kept oscillating between both his blue-green eyes and had a look like she was expecting something.

“I just wanna tell you… It doesnt matter if your renting period is six months or shorter than that. You can stay here as long as you want to” he says and loosens his hold on her.

She looks expressionless but says “Thankyou” with a tight smile and continues walking outside the house.



“I said such a deep thing and she replies me with a “thankyou”?!?!? The hell with her and her thankyou” he mentaly screams with a pissed off face.

Once outside the house, Anika quickly turning ON the video call with Mallika.. “Plan is working!!!” she squeals.

“Shhh.. dont ruin it with your mindless squeals. Just go by the plan.” Mallika directs her

Anika smiles and goes for work.

Later the night around 11:15, Shivaay keeps trying for Vicky’s mobile and even after the whole 14 full ring calls he didnt pick his phone up.

“Fhat the wuck vicky.. where are you?? Why dont you pick up my calls. I understand.. i avoided you just so you dont blabber stuffs to anika. But dont revenge me now. Anika’s been missing the whole day. She hasnt come back home. Nor she attended any of my 43 missed calls. God damn it, just pick up the call and help me find her you jerk” Shivaay shouts and throws down the iphone, worth my kidney to the floor, breaking it to a thousand pieces.

“Where are you anika??” Shivaay says with his dead voice and falls down to the floor cupping his face.

He keeps sobbing for a while and suddenly he gets a call. His face all brightening up and his pink nose all sweating he rises up and attends the call.

“Hello.. hello.. Anika.. damn it answer me.. where are you.. hello helllo. Shit! The signal!!!” He screams and runs to the terrace.

Moving his phone wherever possible to find network he was so panicking. Suddenly he hears a match stick being lit up.

He turns to see Anika holding a cake with Three small lavender smelling candles lighting up the piece.

She nears him and with a smile, “Happy Birthday Shivaay” she says sighing in relief.

Shivaay was breathless. He was looking all astonished. He wasnt in his conscious. He was totally perspirating and heavily breathing minutes back but his breath has stopped the moment he saw her.

Slappppp! His fingers were literally printed on her cheeks. She dropped the cake down and stood there holding her red cheek in her hands. Anika’s eyes start to well up.

Shivaay’s too. Jumping back from the trance.. he quickly held her shoulders and started to wiggle it.

“This was a plan?!?!. Not attending my phone calls? You scared me you fool. It’s ain’t funny to get lost for the past 5 hours. What if.. what if.. you were kidnapped.. what if.. what if.. you had an accident. This isnt a surprise it’s a deadly prank.” he says and tries looking into her eyes.

“Im sorry” she finally speaks up with a sad tone.

He quickly pulls her to a tight hug and starts crying on her shoulders.

“I raised my hands on you. Im ashamed of myself. Though you made a mistake it wanst right in my part to slap you. I ruined your surprise” he speaks between his sobs.

Pulling herself backwards.. “Idiot you ruined the chocolate cake! You have a whole 24 hours to celebrate.. but look at my cake.. It looked lot more tastier. I wanted to buy this cake as a formality for you to cut and i wanted to steal the remaining entire cake for myself” she whines like a kid.

Shivaay chuckles and hugs her tighter. “Sorry. And thankyou Anika.” He says and brushes her hair.

She pulls out again and gently placing her hand on his chest.. “The best part of the Surprise is still pending. I wanna tell you something important today. That will definitely be the best i promise” she says with a blush peeping in her cheeks.

“I’ll be waiting!” Shivaay whispers back to her ears and smiles.
