The haveli was decorated beautifully like a bride. It was a destination wedding in Udaipur.The serene atmosphere and exquisite beauty of the place was a pleasure to oneself.
It was morning….The garden of the hotel was decorated with yellow flowers. The guests were dressed in yellow clothes and the bride to be was sitting admist the people around her, applying turmeric paste on her skin as it was a haldi function.
“Twinkle!….beta smile a little”,said Leela her mother.
“No…Maa….Woh abhi tak nahi aaya!….”,she replied.
“Oye…..Twinkle usne toh kaha tha ki would bahut busy Hai New York mein…tu sad naa ho…..”,assured Chinki her friend.
“Haan… yaar”,replied Cherry.
Ragini,Laksh their friends also hummed in agreement with CheNki.
Leela got up and went from there as she had to do some work.
Music was being played on dholaks by the ladies.

He got a taxi and went to where his destination was.

She got up and ran towards him and hugged him tight.

After graduation they both pursued their careers.But still they were together. Now…Twinkle was getting married to a man whom her mother had chosen. It was an arranged wedding.

The hall was decorated with green and wine coloured flowers, streamers, mirchi lights glowed which gave the entire hall an elegant appearance.
In one corner, sitting on the sofa and dressed in a simple Green salwar-suit Twinkle was getting henna applied on her hands and feet. Ladies were playing traditional dholak.She did minimal makeup.
The people were eating, drinking,talking.
Kunj was busy helping Leela.Chinki was with Uv teasing him as he was little applying heena on his palm as shagun.
Ragini was with Twinkle. Cherry and Laksh were helping in carrying gifts and sweets.
Twinkle had no smile on her face but anger as she saw Uv.
Kunj after completing his work went towards her.He saw that something was bothering her.

Kunj , Laksh, Cherry kept her awake by playing songs on the dholak.

Cherry tapped the spoon to the dholak while Kunj played and Laksh danced.

Leela came in and blessed her.They hugged and cried for sometime.
After that…Kunj was left in the room along with friends. They clicked pictures together and loads of them.
After that all left to see baarat except Kunj.

‘kahan Tha tu??”,she demanded.
Kunj-Aa gaya bus. Take this.
He gave her a gift.
She opened it here itself.
It had a photo album with the special notes which he had written. Besides that there was a rose gold watch with studs with a note which said ” Bond made stronger with time ? Time flew happily and in a wink with you….May you have joyous moments ahead!!”

After graduation they both pursued their careers.But still they were together. Now…Twinkle was getting married to a man whom her mother had chosen. It was an arranged wedding.
“Twinkle!!”….hearing Yuvraaj’s voice she turned and stopped running behind him.
Yuvraaj Luthra…Her fiancee had arrived.
Kunj went to him and greeted him with a warm hug.
“What a surprise Kunj!!”,said Uv.
Kunj-Haha…Where were you? Waiting for you since morning.
Yuvraaj- Actually we had a little work in the city. Twinkle was sad thinking you will not come.I am happy to see you at our wedding.
Twinkle- Guys!! Let’s go to have dinner I am hungry…..Baatein baad mein…

Twinkle frowned and hit him back.
They all went to have dinner and cherished the moment.

The guests were having breakfast while the bride and her group was fast asleep as they had spent the entire night talking,playing,drinking.
“Hmmmm….”,said Twinkle stretching her arms, standing on the terrace.
She was standing there feeling the morning breeze but she saw someone on the other side facing the garden with hands propped on the railing.
She went close to him placed a hand on his shoulder.
“Huh!! “,Kunj got scared as he felt her hand.
Twinkle-Got scared?
Kunj-Nahi….
Twinkle laughed.
Twinkle-Kya soch rahe ho?
She could feel that something is going on in his mind.
Twinkle- Will you not tell me?hmm?
She placed her hand on his shoulder.
Kunj-Just thinking ki how we grew up and tomorrow you will get married. Not feeling good…..
Twinkle-Kunj….Right….Shaadi ke liye haan toh kardi par ab nahi karni.
Pata nahi kaise adjust karungi? Anita Aunty ke saath, Uv ke saath.
Kunj-Chill…Sab karlegi tu….
Twinkle-Tu….tu kab shadi karega?Now…you’re settled…
Kunj-Jis din koi tere jaise milegi us din….

Twinkle said proudly.

Kunj said those words playfully but Twinkle sensed something unknown in his words. A different feeling.
Twinkle- Hmm!….
He caressed her back with the hand which he had placed on the back.
Twinkle-Dar lag raha Hai….
Kunj-kiska? Ohh!!! Night after wedding??? Tu Kyu dar rahi Hai?Tu toh Hai jungli billi….Uv se kehna padega ki woh Sambhal Kar rahe….
Twinkle got embarrassed again and frowned.
“Tu nahi sudhrega kutte!!!…Ganda dimaag!!! “,She said while beating him.
Kunj- Sorry….sorry….
He said while laughing.
They were busy in doing their stupidity while a pair of eyes was seeing them.
Those belonged to Yuvraaj who was in the lawn eating his breakfast.
He could see Twinkle laughing and talking comfortably with Kunj.He did not like it.
He knew that Kunj is Twinkle’s friend but somewhere he felt as if she has forgotten him. Yuvraaj was her fiance and she now belonged to him , she should be with him opening up herself but no she is busy with Kunj ,his heart questioned.He got angry and leaving his plate on the table went inside.

The hall was decorated with green and wine coloured flowers, streamers, mirchi lights glowed which gave the entire hall an elegant appearance.
In one corner, sitting on the sofa and dressed in a simple Green salwar-suit Twinkle was getting henna applied on her hands and feet. Ladies were playing traditional dholak.She did minimal makeup.
The people were eating, drinking,talking.
Kunj was busy helping Leela.Chinki was with Uv teasing him as he was little applying heena on his palm as shagun.
Ragini was with Twinkle. Cherry and Laksh were helping in carrying gifts and sweets.
Twinkle had no smile on her face but anger as she saw Uv.
Kunj after completing his work went towards her.He saw that something was bothering her.
Her sat in front of her with a glass of water for himself.
Kunj-Oye!! Kya hua? Koi baat Hai?
Twinkle-How do you know?
Kunj-I know everything about you. Itni Sadi hui shakal banayi Hai!!! Aunty bhi puch rahi thi….Hua Kya batayegi ?
Twinkle-Nothing….
Kunj-Really?
Twinkle- Haan ….it’s nothing….

Yuvraaj was angry after he saw her with Kunj. The entire morning he was behaving angrily with her so she confronted him in one corner.
Twinkle- What happened Yuvraaj?
Yuvraaj-Oh…why it’s bothering you..Go and have fun with Kunj.
He jerked her hand off himself.
Twinkle- What do you mean!?? Oh ……Damn Uv? For God’s sake!! He is my best friend.
She said after realising what he might have felt.
Yuvraaj- I didn’t like it.
Twinkle- You know what….Just grow up!!! Woh itne dino baad aaya hai?? How could I leave him?
Yuvraaj- So what?? He should maintain distance!!!!
Twinkle was so shocked.
He had taken it so wrong.
Twinkle- I can’t explain anything else…..Stop living in misconceptions!!!!!
She left angrily after that.
Yuvraaj was not talking to her since then.
Twinkle was sad that Uv had doubted their friendship.The one who met her just 8 months ago was questioning her 25 years old friendship.

“Yeah…”,he said and went towards the stage.
Kunj-Ladies….and Gentlemen……Now time for some latkas and jhatkas so are we ready???
The people hooted and clapped.
Lights went out.

Photographs were clicked as they danced.All danced and made merry.
But Twinkle wasn’t comfortable enough. Kunj was feeling little bad as Twinkle was with Yuvraaj. He didn’t know why he was feeling that way.

The Sangeet got over. Groom’s family went to sleep followed by other guests.
Only people awake were Leela,Laksh,Kunj,Ragini,Cherry,Chinki and Twinkle as Twinkle was getting henna applied on her feet.
It was tiring for her to sit for 5 hours and get it done. It was 12 already.
Kunj , Laksh, Cherry kept her awake by playing songs on the dholak.
“Banni teri akhiyann…..Surmedaani….Banni teri akhiyann Surmedaani….Banni tera jhumka lakh kaa re…..Banni….teri akhiyann Surmedaani…..”,they sang.
Cherry tapped the spoon to the dholak while Kunj played and Laksh danced.
They all were making most other of the time.
Twinkle was happy….She was enjoying the time.

It was evening the next day….
It was the day when Twinkle was to get married.
The haveli looked extra Beautiful today.
In the room….
Twinkle was getting ready.
Her friends saw the process how she got ready after her sringar into a bride.
She looked beautiful and ravishing in that red and golden lehenga.Her chuda and the kalire on them looked beautiful on her hands.
Infact everyone was dressed their best.
Kunj was dressed in guess what!? His favorite coloured (black) Kurta and white dhoti,Chinki wore a green saree, Ragini wore a red lehenga,Laksh and Cherry looked dashing in their Tuxedos while Mumma bear i.e Leela was dressed in a blue saree.
Leela came in and blessed her.They hugged and cried for sometime.
After that…Kunj was left in the room along with friends. They clicked pictures together and loads of them.
After that all left to see baarat except Kunj.
Twinkle- Kaise lag rahi hoon? Compliment nahi Kiya tune?
Kunj- Chudail lag rahi Hai.
Twinkle- Sach mein?
Kunj- Nahi….mazaak tha….bilkul pari lag rahi Hai…. Beautiful ??
She thanked him.
Kunj was sad too that now Twinkle would be married and will get busy in her life.
Unknowingly some feelings had erupted in his heart from many years but he was ignoring them.Today also he was not sure of those alien feelings which were different from mere friendship bond.
Twinkle on the other hand was suffering from various emotions.Somewhere she was sad to leave her family and friends ,somewhere hesitant to get married to Uv,somewhere happy.Mostly she was sad as she could no longer disturb Kunj by her 3 a.m calls, neither tell all her secrets to him. But she was bound to move on.
Kunj’s phone beeped which brought them out of their respective bubbles!
He blushed reading a text which didn’t go unnoticed by Twinkle.
Twinkle- Kunj!? Why are you smiling blushily? What’s that text?
She rushed to him and grabbed his phone.
“Give it back Twinkle!! No….You can’t see that!?
Twinkle- “You have an charismatic personality Kunj….and I love it….”
Twinkle read the text loudly.
Kunj- aayyy!!!
Twinkle- Who’s Naina??
Kunj-Just a friend…..
Twinkle- Really?? Just a friend…?!

She gave him back his phone.She smiled to herself. They both burst into laughter.
A meaningless laughter that is!
She was happy that Kunj is not alone.
Soon… Kunj went downstairs to see the baaraat.
A little later Twinkle was called.
“Oye…..chal….tera dulha aa Gaya!”,said Chinki entering the room.
“Chalo”,said Kunj.
The girls helped Twinkle to walk with her heavy lehenga. Kunj, Cherry,Laksh, and one of her relative held the chunri over her head.

She looked like a goddess which was descending down the stairs. Kunj was in front holding the star – studded chunri.

After the Jaimala, Everyone did dinner.
After the dinner it was time for pheras.

The Priest chanted mantras….Family was witnessing the marriage. Yuvraaj filled her maang, and tied Magalsutra around her neck and soon she became his wife.
Finally Twinkle got married.

It was 5:00 a.m the next morning. It was her bidaai time. The most sensitive moment. The girl whose parents care for her like a princess soon give her to her in-laws. The emotions that time can’t be explained.
Twinkle cried hugging her mother.
“Twinkle….Apna dhyaan rakhna…..Siyaape Kam karna….Jaldi uthna…Haan…!”,said Leela sobbing.
Twinkle- hmm….Miss you mummy……Yaad ayegi aapki…
Twinkle met her and hugged her friends and some relatives.
Twinkle was all the while searching for Kunj.Where was he?

Leela- Abhi….toh yahin Tha…

She wanted to meet Kunj before she went to her new house.
Kunj was in his room. Packing and arranging his things and he was doing this purposefully as he was not able to see her go. He was trying to control his tears. He finally managed to control himself he took his luggage and also took the gift which he had decided to give Twinkle on her wedding.
Twinkle was waiting for Kunj.
‘kahan Tha tu??”,she demanded.
Kunj-Aa gaya bus. Take this.
He gave her a gift.
She opened it here itself.
It had a photo album with the special notes which he had written. Besides that there was a rose gold watch with studs with a note which said ” Bond made stronger with time ? Time flew happily and in a wink with you….May you have joyous moments ahead!!”
Twinkle- Thank you Kunj….
She hugged him. Kunj hugged her back tightly. He couldn’t hold her tears back. He cried along with her.
Twinkle- I’ll miss you….you dog….
Kunj-I’ll miss you too…. chudail…..Bhu..lna….mat….mujh…e…..

Everyone was in awe to see thier loving bond.
Twinkle sat in the car with Yuvraaj and the car started moving slowly.
The same time Kunj sat in his car to go to airport after greeting Leela and his friends.
Both the cars moved side to side.
Kunj waved a goodbye to her and Yuvraaj to which they smiled back.
