Ishq Mein Marjawan fame Helly Shah is back to her hometown to celebrate Rakshabandhan with her family. The actress is super excited for the festival and is elated to be back home after her amazing debut experience at Cannes 2022.
The actress talked about Raksha Bandhan during a recent interview with BT and shared, “No matter how busy I am, Rakshabandhan has always meant time with my family in Ahmedabad. My parents, brother, cousins, and my immediate family celebrate the festival together. After the pandemic, I like to spend more time with my family. During the first lockdown in 2020, I spent a few months all by myself, it was tough. Now that my brother is studying in Mumbai (he is doing his graduation in computer engineering) for the last one year and my mom has shifted along with him, I am in a happy space. It is too much fun to disturb him while he is studying, he almost pushes me out of his room when I do that! Our pranks, banter and chats are never ending! I realised it that the bond that siblings share never changes.”
Talking about her break from the small screen, Helly said, “Currently, I am taking a temporary break from daily soaps. I want people to completely forget the last character I essayed in a TV show and want to come back with something absolutely fresh. It is almost 18 months since I have stayed away from soaps, but I am not insecure because I know the audience will shower me with love whenever I return.”
She added, “During this time, I have done short films and music videos. It has been a good learning experience for me. Currently, this seems to be the right time to explore new horizons. The medium doesn’t matter anymore, content is king. I have tried my hand at working in music videos and films the experience was very different as compared to TV shows.”
