Heart Beat (Episode 5) : By Anisha

“I think about him a little more than I should”

Swara’s pov

“I’ll pick you up from your doorstep. Sharp at seven as you decided ma’am” he texted me a message.

“Will surely” I texted back. A smile crept on my face. Sanskar had something different. As I had heard from Uncle, he is nothing as such. Instead I think he is a fascinating person, people love to have!!..

I freshened up as quickly as possible and dressed up in a blue satin off shoulder dress that ended just above my knees. I picked up matching earings and bracelet and was all dolled up now with a little make up. There was still ten minutes for the clock to struck ten when Kavita popped her head into my room.

“Going somewhere?” she asked taking baby steps towards me.

“Yes!”

“Where?” she looked at me astonished “Dont tell me you and Vansh? I am so happy” Kavi can be so cranky sometimes.

“No” she interrupted me again.

“I mean you dont date a person more than a day and if you do you really like him yay!!” she hopped up jumping just like a kid.

“Get something into this stupid brain of yours, Kavi” I hit her heard and she dramatized a Ouchh

“I am going on a date but not with that maddy Vansh. I still remember the last time we went. The entire night I had been cursing myself for accompanying him” I sighed.

“Then? Whom are you going with?” her right eyebrow stretched high.

“With Sanky” I stood lamely in front of her with my arms across my chest.

“Whos this Sanky, now?”

“Vikram Uncles son, Sanskar. Hes joining our office”

“Oho!”she winked a bit teasing me “So you both like each other?” she tickled me a bit.

“No, hes younger. We can be friends” I replied.

“Is it?” she winked again and I could feel my cheeks burning “Woohoo.someones blushing!!” she remarked and I know she is not going to leave me until I am emberassed.

“Nothing as such, Kavi” my voice stood almost inaudible as the door bell rang.

Kavi and I walked out and she opened the door only to find him!!.. He was completely dressed as a gentle man, as he is always. He smiled at us as he entered home.

No doubt he was hot!!.. God, Swara what the hell is happening with you? He was wearing a navy blue tuxedo and our colours matched coincidently but the look in Kavitas eyes were telling something else. She was definitely going to tease the hell out of me today.

“This is Kavita, my sister-in-law” I introduced.

“Oh, nice to meet you beautiful lady” he kissed the knuckles of Kavis hand as if trying to court her.

“Same to you handsome” they smirked at each other.

“So shall we go?” he held his hand out and I readily put mine on his “Ms. s*x goddess” he whispered the later on my ears making me all red again. The blood pumped up to my cheeks and I couldnt stop but smile idiotically “Dont tempt me mam” he husked below my ears and I was flabbergasted at his forthrightness.

I nodded and we sat together in his car. He like a gentle man opened the door and let me in. After travelling for nearly twenty minutes, we reached a restaurant, far away from the hustle bustle of the town. The restaurant seemed empty as we walked off side by side. Reaching near the table, he made me sit on one of the chairs while I awaited for him to sit down along with me.

“So what do you prefer wine or?”

“Wine.. red wine” I paused as we gave the list of food we had to order.

“So speak something about you” I spoke after the waiter left.

“I would love to tell Ms.” he winked “What would you prefer to listen?”

“Anything about you. What you do, what you dont, likes, dislikes, etc. etc.”

“I am doing my last year of Bachelors from St. Xaviers andI like everything that my dad doesnt. I like hanging out, playing around and a life full of fun and my dad wants me to study hard and throw myself into the garbage after a year” he spoke smiling.

“Garbage??..” I asked.

“Yeah..business, garbage”

“Oh” I laughed at him. He was indeed funny “And what you want to be? I mean what you want to do?”

“Writing. I want to be a writer”

“Hmm.. interestingHow many novels you wrote, till now?” I asked him to which he chuckled sarcastically.

“None”

“How many short stories, novels etc.??”

“None” he shrugged as I sighed.

“So youre that kind of an artist..”

“What do you mean by that kind of?” he could guess my sarcasm.

“Nothing leave. Anything more that you love?”

“I love beautiful girls 😉 ” his lips twisting into a crocked smile. My eyes never left his and it felt like it had been years we knew each other.

‘I haven’t had this feeling before, It’s like I no longer have control of my feelings and more, When you are in the room, my heart drops on the floor, When I am with you, I never felt any bore’ my heart stupidly spoke and my cheeks flushed. Why are you so much blushy today, what the f**k is wrong with you, Swara?

The waiter interrupted us and we looked into the food like two hungry lions. This was the best date ever!!..It was first time after 7 years that I laughed so heartily. I don’t do that often.

I like a man with a great sense of humor and who is intelligent – a man who has a great smile. He has to make me laugh. I like a man who is very ambitious and driven and who has a good heart and makes me feel safe. I like a man who is very strong and independent and confident – that is very s*xy – but at the same time, he’s very kind to people and I know he’s good in all three and I’ll definitely going to have a good time working with him!!..

I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it’s the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It’s probably the most important thing in a person.
