Health Update on popular comedian Raju Shrivastav

The entire nation is praying for better health and faster recovery of comedian-actor Raju Srivastava, who has been in the intensive care unit of AIIMS for the past nine days.  He suffered from a major heart attack and continues to be on a ventilator and his condition is still critical. There have been various rumors too but he is a fighter and is fighting all the odds to survive.

Srivastava was admitted to AIIMS after he suffered a heart attack on August 10. The 58-year-old stand-up comedian underwent an angioplasty the same day. He has suffered brain damage and is on life support.

A senior doctor at AIIMS said the 58-year-old is still unconscious. “We cannot say anything about the chances of recovery at present,” he added. After the news of him being brain dead, the chances of his survival became bleak. His daughter Antara told PTI that “doctors are still treating him”. Srivastava, a stand-up comedian who joined BJP in 2014, was trending on Twitter on Thursday with many posts speculating about his health.

Last week, Raju Srivastava’s family released a statement on his official Instagram page, saying his condition was “stable” and requested “ignore any rumour/fake news being circulated”.
