Healing the souls – final part

Healing the souls…final part

“your eyes hold your purity in them.” the words ringed in her ears again and again until she pressed her ears tight.

“Kavya, what happened?” he asked her touching her soldiers lightly.

“it won’t go this soon Kabeer, Memories won’t let me live peacefully,” she said putting pressure on her ears.

“hey, it is okay…come here.’ he said as he tried to hug her but the moment their naked skins touched she jumped.

“okay okay…one minute.” and he grabbed his t-shirt from the floor and offered her.

“wear it I’ll be back in a moment,” he said wearing his trousers.

The moment he closed the door she took his t-shirt and entered the washroom and splashed some cold water on her face.

“they had been progressing after a long time then why did he have to come back!” she asked herself as she kept throwing water on her face.

One by one every sweet moment she has spent with her deceased husband started running on her eyes…the way he used to tease her before sleep, the way his lips used to twitch her sensitive skin, the way he used to make…

“stop it,” she shouted to her reflection.

“Kavya, open the door…are you alright?” he banged the thin door.

“leave me alone Kabeer cause he won’t leave me alone… he would never go away.” she cried as she bent on the wash basin.

“it won’t help Kavya, please open the door,” he called her again.

“please leave me alone Kabeer,” she begged him as more tears left her big eyes.

“we need to let it go, otherwise it will never go Kavya, please open the door.” he knocked softly this time.

A long moment passed away when she whispered, “ can you bring one of my …ummm, kurtas?”

“Yeah, wait a minute.” he ran without even his words got completed.

“there is something wrong with these eyes,” she said as they watched the street lights standing in the balcony.

“well, they are beautiful.’ he said as he sipped the tea.

“why it is so that I can’t forget the betrayal?” she asked him, her attention still on lights.

“cause he never betrayed you, his love for you and Aarush was never a lie,” he said calmly.

She turned her eyes away as tears started flowing again.

“you know that..right?” he confirmed.

“you know you are not helping,” she spoke failing her deep conscience of not saying so.

“he has gone Kavya.” he started turning to her side . “but he will always be a part of our life, of Arush’s life.”

“one more thing, Don’t think his love was a façade to give US a chance,” he said with the pressure visible on his head as it always did when he stressed something.

“i didn’t think that way… it was just that when you said those things, something triggered and …sorry.” she apologized, her insides relaxing with the talks.

“well, in that case, I blame that one artisan of God who developed the blueprint of your eyes,” he said pulling her to him.

“what?” she asked unable to get him. “and I still have some tea left.”

“even I have,” he whispered as he dragged her along with him to the railing where he has left his cup.

“kABEER what are you doing?” she stressed on his name.

“well, I am taking the cup, do you have any problem?” he answered cutely as he sipped the remaining tea behind her neck.

“and how do you think I’ll finish mine if you kept hugging me?” she asked him smiling on his tactics.

“oh sorry, a minute and he turned her still holding in his arm cage. “well, this way we can both finish it.”

“i am sorry for today Kabeer,” she said as she felt his breaths on her neck reminding her the hot moment just before an hour.

“leave that,” he said focusing his gaze on the street lights.

From the experiences, she knew it was hard for men to control themselves.

“we can cont…continue the things.” she searched the right words.

“it is okay Kavya, some other day.” with that his grip grew strong on her.

“Dadi why can’t you stay with us always?” Aarush asked the old woman who had come to visit her younger son and his family hiding from her husband.

“because you know na how is your Bir’s daddy?” she asked the little kid with mischievous eyes.

“yeah khadus.” and they both laughed on that. “so which story we are going to hear today Aarush?”

“Hanuman and Sun…” he declared as he lied beside her.

“arey Arush, when dadi came you ditched us?” Kabeer faked a sad face.

“yeah, this is bad Aarush? So what should we do about it?” the grandmother asked the little boy.

“what is this Bir,I sleep every day between you and Mumma, today I’ll sleep with Dadi.” Aarush repeated the words as was taught him in a childish grump.

“okay okay, I am not saying a thing.” Kabeer pushed his hands up in air surrendering already.

“okay Ma, then a good night.” he wished his mother and his son and left the room.

“he is sleeping with Ma… with the click of doorknob he entered the room.

“what is this.” he was surprised by the atmosphere of the room.

With one night bulb glowing blue light and the soft voice of the song, something was changed today.

pass aieye ki hum nahi aayenge baar baar

Baahein gale me daal ke hum ro le jaar jaar…

“Kavya, where are you?” he called her and a hand touched his broad soldiers forcing him to turn behind.

The maroon saree had alleviated her aura, she had not looked this gorgeous for some time, not after that last night out.

Blood rushed to his veins remeasuring that night, a few times his cold dreams had actually imagined her in such a plotting.

“you conspired this plan to let him sleep with Ma.” he asked arching one of his brows.

And she nodded her head in affirmation.

“so what is going inside your brain Wifey?” he asked taking a step towards her.

“which should go,” she answered taking a step back.

“but I don’t think it involves me… and moreover, this beautiful atmosphere calling sending a good sleep vibe my way.” he teased her smiling inwardly.

To make the words look real he took a step towards the bed.

“Kabeer, I thought you would like it.” she said behind him.

“i did but I have tired Kavya… he made him sound as genuine as possible.

“Alright then sleep, Goodnight.” hiding her disappointment she replied.

“Kavya, wait for a min…and she turned with hope.

“you look beautiful today.” he flashed his beautiful smile to her

“oh… thank you.” she muttered lowly.

“by the way Kavya, do you need any help?” he asked her just before lying down on the bed.

“for… this time she craned her neck from the dressing table.

“to help you undress?” he asked without giving any attention to her.

And this was it, she marched towards him, “you were making fun of mine all the time…

“look at your face Kavya…he shouted as ran to the other side of the bed and she ran behind him holding her saree high in one of her hands.

“you are so cruel, today I won’t spare you Kabeer,” she shouted back

“okay stop Kavya, I accept I was teasing you.’ he said seeing her out of breath after a while.

“today I won’t spare you.’ she said as she tried to hit him.

“i managed to call Ma, begged our son to spend the night with her and here you say you are tired…I won’t leave you today,” she said taking breaths in between.

“but your face was worth a look Kavya,” he whispered coming close to her ear.

Laughter erupted in the room again but this time she stared this man she was starting to love more day by day.

“what happened wifey?” he asked seeing her this quiet.

“Nothing,” she replied siding her hairs to a side.

“by the way, there was this one thing I was bot joking earlier, he took a pause to graze her cheeks with his fingers.“you look beautiful today.”

The touch was meant for the permission and she closed her eyes granting it.

With nothing between them, he pulled her to him and grabbing her face planted a kiss on her lips.

“aah,i missed you,” he said in between the kisses.

With this he switched off the only light in the room and pushed her to the bed.

“please tell me to stop if it gets uncomfortable..okay?” he said though it seemed otherwise.

The face of Vyom came to her one more time but this time she tried to ignore it and melt away in this sweet torture on her body.

Chalti hu main taaro par

Fir kyu mujhko lagta hai darr

Tera mera pyar amar

Fir kyu mujhko lagta hai darr

she responded to his touches and focused on him and It was not that hard.

Their souls have been already healed and this one step just drew them closer to each other.

“i love you Kavya.” he whispered touching the summit of pleasure.

“love you more,” she whispered scratching his back with her nails.

Sometimes people needed to be patient to let their love accept them wholeheartedly.
