I Hate You (Episode 42)

Recap: Twinkle does her bidaai from Taneja mansion. Usha, Bebe, and Manohar leave to their village house to prepare for Twinkle and Kunj’s arrival the next day. Yuvi and Mahi go with Twinkle and Kunj back to Kunj’s flat. Yuhi tease Twinj. It is Twinj’s suhaag raat. Twinkle says she cannot take their relationship to the next level until she fulfills a promise she made to herself. Kunj silently supports her.

EPISODE 42

Twinkle woke up as the sun rays tickled her skin. She slowly opened her eyes and tried to move, but something didn’t let her. Twinkle found herself in the same position as last night. She smiled as she saw Kunj’s arm draped around her waist, holding her protectively. She tried removing his arm, only to fail at again and again. Very slowly, Twinkle tried to turn, but Kunj only pulled her closer. The sudden pull caused the increased proximity between them. Twinkle’s face was mere centimeters away from Kunj’s face, their noses almost in contact. She looked at Kunj, admiring the cuteness of his sleeping face.
Twinkle whispers- Kunj?
Kunj slowly opened his eyes and looked at Twinkle.
Twinkle- Good morning.
Kunj smiled- Good morning Mrs. Sarna.
Twinkle- Now leave me Kunj, it’s late.
Kunj- Late? The Twinkle I know doesn’t get up early.
Twinkle- Kunj, we are leaving to your house today remember? Bhai and bhabhi must be waiting for us. Let me go.
Kunj chuckles- They are probably still sleeping also.
Twinkle stares at Kunj.
Kunj- What?
Twinkle- I never noticed how hot you are in the morning.
Kunj’s eyebrows raise as Twinkle realizes what she just said.
Kunj- Well, it is our first morning together and there’s plenty more left.
There’s a knock on the door.
Twinkle- Kunj chodo please.
Kunj shakes his head.
Kunj- First…
Kunj points to his lips.
Twinkle- Kunj! Someone is at the door. Leave me.
Kunj- Not until I get what I want.
Twinkle sighs.
Twinkle- Close your eyes.
Kunj closes his eyes. His grip on Twinkle loosens. Twinkle smiles and leaves a kiss on Kunj’s cheek and quickly get up.
Kunj- That’s cheating Twinkle!
Twinkle- Everything is fair in love and war my love.
Twinkle runs to open the door. She opens the door and finds Yuvi and Mahi standing there.
Mahi- Good morning Twinkle. Had a good sleep? Where is my devar ji?
Kunj comes up behind Twinkle.
Kunj- Good morning bhabhi.
Yuvi and Mahi suddenly become shocked. Kunj is confused.
Kunj- What happened? Is everything ok?
Uv- Did you have a good sleep?
Kunj- Yes why?
Mahi- Are you sure?
Twinkle is confused. She looks at Kunj and becomes shocked. Looking at the lipstick mark on Kunj’s cheek, the color rises on Twinkle’s cheeks.
Kunj- What happened? Why are you all behaving strangely?
Mahi- Yuvraj, let’s go.
Uv- My dear bhai, just check your beautiful face in the mirror. We see how much sleep you got last night.
Mahi pulls Yuvi away. Twinkle quickly closes the door.
Kunj- Twinkle, what were they talking about?
Twinkle runs into the washroom, leaving a baffled Kunj behind. Kunj walks over to the mirror.
Kunj- What were they….
He is shocked to see the lipstick mark on his cheek.
Kunj- Twinkle!!!

The Next Scene…

Twinkle and Kunj pack their bags and head off to the village house with Yuvi and Mahi. They get in a taxi.
Kunj- Twinkle, are you sure you can handle it?
Twinkle- Yea why not?
Kunj- Twinkle, life there is not as easy and simple as the life you are used to.
Twinkle- Kunj Sarna, never underestimate the power of a common man…sorry common woman.
The taxi comes to a sudden stop.
Twinkle- Why did we stop?
Driver- Madam, I can’t go any further. You will have to walk from here.
Twinj and Yuhi get out of the taxi with their luggage. They start walking on the small dirt road. (Pardon me if I am describing anything incorrectly. I grew up in NYC so I have no idea what a village looks like. I am just using knowledge from movies and google.)
Uv- Now Twinkle and Kunj, be careful. The path is muddy. Be careful not to fall.
Mahi- Ha Kunj, take care of Twinkle.
There was no reply.
Uv- Kunj?
Yuvi and Mahi turn around and see a surprising sight. Twinkle was in Kunj’s arms. Kunj was holding Twinkle’s waist, as she was about to fall. Twinkle wrapped her arms around Kunj’s neck for support. The two were lost in each other’s eyes.
Uv- What the….
Mahi- Yeh dono bhi na, they will start anywhere.
Uv- Kunj!
Kunj snaps out of the eye lock and drops Twinkle.
Kunj- Oh sorry sorry.
Kunj helps Twinkle up.
Kunj- Voh actually, Twinkle slipped and I caught her. Bas, that’s it.
Uv and Mahi chuckles.
Mahi- Ok let’s go.
They arrive at the house and Usha completes all of Twinkle’s rituals.
Usha- Come Twinkle, I will show your around. Today, you will have to make something for the family as per the rituals.
Bebe- Twinkle puttar, can you cook?
Kunj- Bebe, what are you saying. Do you know how good Twinkle cooks? The six months we were together, she is the one that fed me. Kya taste hai matlab….
Twinkle blushes.
Bebe- Ok ok. Twinkle puttar, looks like you have a fan.
Kunj goes to his room and Usha and Bebe laugh. Twinkle makes halwa for everyone, receiving praises for her cooking skills.

The Next Scene…

Kunj was in his room, unpacking his suitcase. Suddenly Twinkle comes running into the room and jumps onto Kunj’s arms. A shocked Kunj carries Twinkle bridal style while Twinkle screams.
Twinkle- Kunj bachao!
Kunj- Twinkle, what happened?
Twinkle- Kunj….there’s…there’s…
Kunj- What Twinkle!
Twinkle- There’s a chicken chasing me! What if it eats me? Kunj please save me!
Kunj was speechless before he bursts out into laughter.
Kunj- Kya Siyappa Queen, you were scared of a chicken?
Twinkle- Kunj, don’t laugh. If you saw how it was looking at me, you would get scared also.
Kunj sets Twinkle on the bed.
Kunj- Ok ok. No more chickens will bother you. I will talk to them.
Twinkle playfully slaps Kunj’s arm.
Twinkle- Shut up Kunj.
Kunj chuckles.
Kunj thinks- You’re too cute Twinkle. I love you.
