I Hate You (Episode 21)

Recap: Chinki and Rishi find out the truth behind Twinj’s marriage. They tease Twinkle and Kunj about it. Kunj comes home from work and doesn’t find Twinkle. He calls Chinki, who gives him an address. He arrives at an address and enters an auditorium hall. He sees it is a charitable function and starts to leave but then suddenly stops.

EPISODE 21

Kunj stops in his tracks.

Meri Zindagi Mera Pyar Yad Aa Raha Hai….

Kunj turns around. He sees a girl siting on the stage with her back towards the audience.

Aanewala Hai Jo, Woh Yad Aa Raha Hai….

The girl turns around, shocking Kunj. He stares mesmerized at the stage, where Twinkle was standing. Kunj, mesmerized by Twinkle, stood there while she danced. (To know how Twinkle danced and what she wore, please watch Madhuri Dixit’s song, Sajan Sajan Teri Dulhan).

Not taking his eyes off Twinkle, Kunj starting walking towards the front.

Aa Ja, Aa Ja, Sajan Aa Ja…

As Kunj walked down to the front, many annoyed audience members told him to move. Paying no heed to them, Kunj kept walking. Finally he sat on a seat in the front row.

Mera Mehbub Mera Sanam Aa Raha Hai
Ham Toh Marhi Chuke The, Phir Janam Aa Raha Hai….
Sajan Sajan Teri Dulhan Tujhko Pukare Aa Ja

As Twinkle finished her dance, everyone started clapping. The curtains on the stage closed and everyone gave Twinkle a standing ovation. Kunj was still sitting on the seat watching the stage. Flashes of Twinkle dancing came back to him.
Kunj- Twinkle….
He suddenly stood up and left the auditorium.

(Twinj’s Flat….)

Twinkle quietly enters their bedroom. She sees Kunj sleeping on the sofa.
Twinkle thinks- Oh no! Kunj came back from work early? I should change and go to sleep before he wakes up and asks me anything.
Twinkle turns to leave but is stopped. She turns back to see Kunj holding her dupatta. Kunj stands up.
Kunj- Where were you?
Twinkle looks around nervously.
Kunj- I asked you a question.
Twinkle- Why should I answer you?
Kunj- Because I asked you a question so u answer the damn question!
Twinkle- Excuse me, who are you to ask me a question?
Kunj- I’m ur hu….
Twinkle- Husband? I don’t thinks so Kunj Sarna.
Twinkle starts to leave the room.
Kunj- Vaise, I didn’t know that u were such a good dancer.
Twinkle stops. She turns to face Kunj.
Twinkle- U were there?
Kunj- Yea. How come u didn’t tell me that u dance?
Twinkle- I only do it for charity. These charities call me and ask me to dance so I dance at functions like these. The money goes to special and needy causes. I have been doing this for years.
Kunj- So that explains the dancer’s outfit u had at Rajjo’s wedding. That’s why u were out late that night. Wow, I must say, behind that menacing outside, there is actually a heart inside.
Twinkle rolls her eyes. She turns to leave. Her dupatta falls off, leaving her in only the blouse and skirt. As Twinkle bends down to pick up the dupatta, Kunj notices a butterfly tattoo on her lower back near her waist.
Kunj- Twinkle, u also have a tattoo? What else do I not know about you?
Twinkle’s fcae becomes pale. Fear builds up in her eyes as she hears Kunj’s voice.
Twinkle- There’s a lot of things you don’t know about me.
After saying that, Twinkle leaves the room.
Kunj- Strange…
(Later That Night…)

“NO! Please! Papa! Please maa, it hurts! Please!”
Twinkle moves on the bed as she sees a nightmare. Squirming in her sleep, she mumbles.
Twinkle- No please! It hurts…
Kunj woke up from Twinkle’s speaking. He saw Twinkle moving on the bed and breathing heavily and shouting. Quickly, he ran to her and patted her cheeks.
Kunj- Twinkle? Twinkle? What happened? Look yeh mazak ka time nahi hai. This is not the time for jokes. Just stop.
Twinkle started having more fits. She clenched her fists and started shivering. Kunj became worried seeing her like this.
Twinkle- No don’t hurt me please.
Kunj took Twinkle on his lap and hugged her head. He rubbed her hair and back, trying to console her.
Kunj- No one is going to hurt you Twinkle. Look I’m here. Ur safe now. No one will hurt you.
Twinkle woke up and opened her eyes. She found herself in someone’s arms. Afraid, she pushed Kunj back and sat up. With fear in her eyes, she nervously looked around the room. She was still shaking. Kunj was shocked.
Kunj- Twinkle? Twinkle, look at me.
He tried to make Twinkle look at him but she wouldn’t look.
Twinkle- He’s going to hit me…..she’s also coming….
Kunj- Who’s coming? Who’s going to hit you? Twinkle!
Twinkle pushed Kunj’s hands off of her shoulders. Again, she started panicking.
Kunj- Twinkle!
Kunj slapped Twinkle, bringing her back into reality. By now, Kunj was also breathing heavily in fear and worry. Silence filled the room and all that could be heard was their breaths. Twinkle held her cheek and looked at Kunj.
Kunj- Twinkle I…
He reached out to Twinkle but Twinkle pushed his hand away.
Kunj- Twinkle I’m sorry yaar. I had no other option. Are you ok?
Without saying a word, Twinkle laid back down on the bed.
Kunj- It’s ok, u don’t have to tell me now. U can tell me later. Now go back to sleep, I’m here. Nothing will happen to you.
Twinkle goes to sleep as Kunj caresses her hair.
Kunj thinks- What happened to Twinkle? Why is she behaving like this?
