‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’ fame Aishwarya Sharma talks about her experience of sharing the screen space with hubby Neil Bhatt in ‘Smart Jodi’

Neil Bhatt and Aishwarya Sharma who recently decided to tie the knot fell in love on the sets of Star Plus show ‘Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin’. The love birds are currently seen in Star Plus’ reality show ‘Smart Jodi’ which is about the couples’ compatibility and understanding.

In a recent interview with India Forums Aishwarya talked about what made them sign ‘Smart Jodi’. She shared, “Well, Neil and I always wanted to do a talent-based reality show but when this show was offered, we were quite intrigued. We saw a couple of episodes of ‘Ishmart Jodi’ as the show is an adaptation of a South-Indian show. Watching a few clips of that show made us quite interested and we decided to take it up. Also, the format of the show is different and unexpected and that’s also one of the reasons to giving it a nod”.

She added, “We were both elated to be a part of this as we’re getting to do something other than GHKKPM. We will also feature our rehearsals in the show, which is quite exciting. I’m also happy that I’ll no longer have to wear sarees (laughs). I think it’s fun. I can’t tell you how happy I am”.

Talking about not getting to spend enough time with husband Neil post wedding. She shared, “Basically, we’re doing this show for fun. We’ve not gotten enough time to spend post-wedding as on sets we shoot in different units and have hardly any scenes together. Even off-screen, we don’t even get time to sit together. ‘Smart Jodi’ came as a blessing as we’re finally getting time with each other and know each other better with each passing day. This show is like a compatibility test. I am very excited and I feel like I’ll live my childhood again on the show”.

She added, “I feel like I’ve got a new family as everyone on the show is so warm and down to earth. We often discuss our married lives and we have two quite experienced couples like Himalay Sir- Bhagyashree ma’am and Srikant Sir- Vidya ma’am. We’re getting to know how they managed everything and for them, it was quite a challenge as there were no cell phones or social media. Knowing all of it is quite enriching and it’s a learning process for us,” she concluded.
