Leena assures her family that Neil will only marry someone of her choosing and orders him to stay away from Mohit’s family. She declares that she will contact the Chavan family to finalize the wedding date. When Vinod asks Neil if he is happy with the decision, Leena dismisses the need for his opinion, insisting that her choices are in his best interest. Frustrated, Neil states that his opinion doesn’t matter and leaves, while Leena claims he has no objections.
Meanwhile, the Chavan family performs a Pooja for Mohit’s soul. When the Pandit calls for Mohit’s wife and children to participate, Mukta steps forward, but Lakshmi stops her, asserting that she, not Mukta, is Mohit’s rightful wife. She harshly reminds Mukta that neither society nor the law recognizes her marriage. Despite Mukta’s pleas, Lakshmi refuses to let her join, threatening to leave with the property inherited after Mohit’s death if the family allows Mukta to participate.
Mukta assures Lakshmi she has no interest in the property and begs to be part of the Pooja. Aditi also requests Lakshmi to reconsider, but she remains firm. Teju criticizes Lakshmi’s behavior, prompting Satish to scold her, but Teju stands her ground, refusing to stay silent when her mother is insulted.
As Lakshmi and Aditi proceed with the Pooja, Neil arrives at Chavan Niwas and overhears the dispute. When Lakshmi admits she opposes Mukta’s participation, Neil decides to take Mukta and her children to perform the ritual at a nearby temple. Despite Satish’s objections, Omi grants permission, allowing Neil to leave with Mukta and her children.
