Bhushan demands that Teju promise never to sing again. Hurt, Teju responds that she expected artists to be encouraged in this family, not forced to abandon their dreams. She reveals that Amai and Nandini were the ones who pushed her to perform. Confused, she questions why Rituraj—also a singer—is allowed to pursue music while she isn’t. Bhushan clarifies that Rituraj is the son of Leena’s sister and doesn’t carry the family surname, adding that if he did, he’d have been forced into engineering or medicine.
Rituraj fires back, stating that his achievements are his own and that his future will be on his terms. He adds that unless Teju’s singing was her father’s dream, she shouldn’t pursue it. Leena dismissively remarks that Mohit (Teju’s father) was unworthy of discussion and tells Rituraj to stop talking about dreams. Teju angrily defends her father, refusing to stay silent, which shocks Nandini. Leena coldly orders Teju to lower her voice and eyes.
Neil intervenes, telling both Nandini and Teju to be quiet. When Leena snaps at him for including Nandini, Neil insists he meant both. He then reminds Bhushan that he promised to support Teju’s dreams, leading Bhushan to accuse him of betrayal.
Meanwhile, Mukta calls Neil, inviting him and Teju for a family ritual. She later seeks Leena’s permission, only to be accused of manipulating Neil. Mukta denies this, but Leena remains hostile. When Mukta speaks to Teju, the latter refuses to visit, believing the marriage was only meant to push her out. Neil takes the phone and assures Mukta he’ll bring Teju the next day.
Mukta shares her concerns with the family, tearfully asking what they did wrong. Later, Neil urges Teju to visit her parents, but she initially refuses. Amruta and Jeetu plead with her, citing tradition, and Teju finally agrees, though heartbroken. Alone, she cries over Leena’s insults and her shattered dreams. Neil comforts her, apologizing for his mother’s behavior and promising to convince Bhushan. He encourages her to reconnect with her family for emotional support.
The next day, the family gathers. Prachi checks on Teju, while Rituraj remarks that she’s always fine. Leena taunts Teju for being inconsistent, accusing her of visiting her parents just for show. Teju insists she’s going because Neil asked. Rituraj blames Neil for not clarifying her dreams before marriage. Neil admits his mistake, vowing to keep apologizing if needed.
Precap: Neil is arrested and faces a wave of public backlash. Teju, shocked, asks him, “What’s going on? Why is everyone suddenly against you?”
