Senior doctor Surva insists Neil and his family must attend the hospital party. Leena arrives and questions what party they’re referring to. Amruta informs her it’s a celebration for Neil and Teju. Leena jokes with Surva about his changing tea preferences, then admits she feels unhappy, saying Neil has taken away her joy and that making tea isn’t enough to define a good daughter-in-law. Teju responds that a good daughter-in-law also needs a supportive family. Leena expresses disapproval of Neil’s marriage and refuses to attend. Vinod tries to persuade her, but she stands firm. Teju says she won’t go without Leena, who dismisses her and walks away.
Vinod tells Surva he’ll make another attempt to convince Leena. Surva believes Teju will win Leena’s heart, just as she won Neil’s, and says they’ll wait at the party.
Neil asks Teju if he can enter the room. Teju says it’s his room, questioning why he’s asking. Neil explains he’s being respectful now that she’s staying there. Teju sarcastically reminds him he married her without consent. Neil expresses regret and implies she may still have feelings for someone else, but when questioned, he avoids the topic. He admits he didn’t expect her to accept the party invitation. Teju replies she accepted because the family invited her lovingly. Neil concludes that her problem lies solely with him and questions her reason for attending. Teju counters that it’s not his decision to make.
Neil prepares an inflatable bed, citing discomfort on the sofa. Teju offers to sleep on the inflatable bed and tells him to take the main one. The bed bursts as she inflates it, and Neil insists she use the bed instead. Teju suggests they share it with a pillow barrier. She assigns Neil a side, insists on a good night’s sleep, and says she wants to feel like a princess. Neil calls her a princess, earning a scolding. They sleep with the lights off, and Neil gazes at her before drifting off.
The next day, Prachi asks Amai and Nandini if they’re ready. Teju sees Neil working and asks if he’s not joining. Neil, recalling her conversation with Rithuraj, says others will be there. Teju insists his presence would protect her from blame. He agrees. Prachi enters with Jeetu, who gifts Teju a necklace. Neil helps her wear it. Yash compliments Teju and jokes about Neil’s appearance. The group takes Teju along and urges Neil to get ready.
Rithuraj enters the hall singing, and Neil watches him with Teju, thinking they make a perfect pair. Regretful, Neil decides to step aside. Rithuraj compliments Neil’s look. Bhushan prompts Neil to leave, but Neil claims he has a lecture at another college. The family suspects another motive. Rithuraj offers to accompany Teju. Vinod urges Neil to go to avoid embarrassing Teju. She refuses to ask Neil to join. Jeetu questions Neil’s priorities. Nandini doubts Rithuraj’s claim of a cancelled show. Rithuraj says he needed rest.
Leena prepares to go to the temple. Vinod asks about the party, but she reaffirms her decision. Teju announces she won’t attend without Leena, noting Neil isn’t coming and she holds no right over him—but she does over Leena, whom she considers a mother-in-law. Leena remains unmoved.
