Teju reflects on Rithuraj’s unsettling words when Neil approaches with a gift. She opens it happily to find a saree and asks if it’s for her. Neil nods and explains that he got it after Nandini mentioned Teju was doing the Vat Savitri pooja. Teju remarks that it’s more like Nandini’s gift, but Neil encourages her to try it on. She declines, choosing to study instead, while secretly worrying about Neil’s upcoming Konkan trip and the danger he might face there.

Later, as Neil looks for something to clean his spectacles, Teju hands him her kerchief. He wipes them, but then she playfully uses the saree to finish the job and helps him wear them. Neil smiles at the gesture, unaware of Teju’s growing concern about his safety.

The next morning, Neil gets ready to leave

and receives safety advice from the family. Meanwhile, Teju, desperate to stop him, hides his car keys. When Neil announces his departure, he notices the keys are missing. After searching, he finds them atop the saree box and suspects Teju. She appears, wearing the saree. Neil is touched and asks if she placed the keys there, but she denies it. He thanks her for wearing the saree and compliments her. She teases him, and as he leaves, Teju fights her emotions. Neil returns briefly to ask for a goodbye, saying the room is hers now. He wishes her well for the fast. Teju, disappointed, thinks he could’ve called instead. The next morning, as she prepares for the pooja, she reflects on their memories and tells Neil’s photo that she’s keeping the fast for him, accepting him as her husband. She prays to Shiv and Parvati, vowing to reveal her feelings after the fast.

A neighbor asks Leena why Teju isn’t participating in the ritual. Leena insists Teju doesn’t believe in such things, but Teju surprises everyone by appearing fully dressed and declaring her commitment to the vrat. The women praise her devotion, and Nandini compliments her look. Teju begins the pooja, despite Leena’s sarcasm. She prays for Neil’s safety. Teju isolates herself in her room, imagining Neil breaking her fast. Her fantasy is interrupted by Nandini’s voice. Despite their efforts, she refuses to eat. Nandini and Prachi leave food for her and walk away. Alone, Teju cries, yearning for Neil. Meanwhile, Neil also misses Teju and hopes she’s managing.

That night, Teju dreams of Neil getting hurt. She wakes screaming his name. Rithuraj, Nandini, and Alok rush in. Teju begs them to call Neil, but Rithuraj accuses her of pretending. Nandini joins in, questioning Teju’s fidelity. Shocked and hurt, Teju watches as they leave, her heart burdened by fear and misunderstanding.
