In a romantic journey spanning nearly eight years, actress Sonarika Bhadoria is gearing up to marry businessman Vikas Parashar on February 18 in Sawai Madhopur, Ranthambore. Following a surprise dreamy engagement a year-and-a-half ago, the couple is ready to exchange vows in a series of festivities.
Best known for her portrayal of Goddess Parvati in “Devo Ke Dev…Mahadev,” Sonarika reflects on Vikas’s grand preferences and her penchant for simplicity. The engagement, which took place in the Maldives in May 2022, initiated a desire for a beach wedding. However, considering Vikas’s extensive family, they opted for Sawai Madhopur.
The wedding celebrations will kick off with Mata Ki Chowki in Mumbai 15 days before the main event. The Maira ritual is scheduled for February 16, followed by an evening mehndi ceremony. The haldi ceremony will take place the next day, with a cocktail party-cum-sangeet in the evening.
Highlighting the couple’s thoughtful approach, Sonarika reveals their plan for a reception in Vikas’s hometown, Faridabad, Haryana. Recognizing Vikas’s widespread connections in the town, the reception serves as an inclusive celebration for friends and family.
The love story between Sonarika and Vikas began at the gym, where they first crossed paths as friends of her brother. Sonarika emphasizes her initial decision to avoid dating an actor, citing the balance it brings to have a partner outside the industry. Describing Vikas as her biggest cheerleader, she expresses gratitude for his unconditional love, keeping her grounded throughout their journey.
