SCENE-1
FLASH FROM THE PAST: (ARNAV’S PAST)
It has been a week since their college started…They are getting used to the college…Varsha and Arnav did not talk after the first day…They just stole glances when the other is not looking…
They come to the class and settle down…Their first hour started..Prof.Mehta started taking class…Since the day when the professor warned Sanjay and he came to the class again,Sanjay does not sit in his class…He goes out whenever his class comes…But that day he was sitting in the class…He wants to insult that sir and so he gets up…
Sanjay : So guys..Today no class for u..U can go out…
Everyone is puzzled…The professor stared at him…Nobody got up…They saw prof.Mehta’s face…
Sanjay : I asked u to get up…Just go out of the class…Let him take class to the desks and benches…(laughs)
Nobody got up…
Sanjay : U guys don’t respect my words?? U will regret it later…I said get out..(shouts)
Most of the students got up…
Varsha : Sir…I will be here…U can take class for me…
Sanjay stares at her angrily…Varsha too stares at him…He comes to her…
Sanjay : How dare u??
Varsha : I am not ur slave to do what u say…
Sanjay : U are my slave…
Varsha : I cant do what u ask me to…Get lost…
Sanjay : U …..
He raises his hand to slap her…Varsha holds his hand…Arnav looks at her astonished…
Sanjay : Hey…How dare u hold my hand??
Varsha : I cannot do what u say…If u want,u can go out of the class…
By saying that,Varsha releases his hand…Sanjay is embarassed that a girl insulted him…
Sanjay : (to others) Hey…What are u looking here?? Just go out of the class…
Some students are ready to go out…They start moving…
By then Arnav says…..
Arnav : Friends…I am supporting Varsha in this matter…I will also remain in this class with her…U guys can also join with us…
Varsha looks at him surprised..Arnav comes and stands beside Varsha …Vicky follws him…Some of the students too sat in their places…They said,”We will also support u”…
Sanjay looked at them with eyes burning in anger…Finally all of the students sat in the class…They shouted,”Sir…Please continue the class”
Sanjay : (to Varsha) U will regret it later…
He sees Varsha nad Arnav with red eyes…Varsha gave a victorious smile to him..He went out of the class with Varun and two others of his gang….
Prof.Mehta : I am so proud of u students….If u are united like this,u can control him…He is misusing his powers…I hope he will realize his mistake soon…
SCENE-2
Sanjay and his friends are in the parking lot…
Sanjay : How dare she is?? She is supporting that idiot professor…
Varun : Today that Arnav too joined her…Because of them,u were highly insulted in front of the whole class…
Sanjay : both of them will pay for it…
SCENE-3
Its their lunch break…Arnav and Vicky come out of the class…Varsha comes behind them…She coughs to let Arnav know that she has come to talk to him…Arnav hears that but he did not respond…
Varsha : (thinks) I think he did not hear me…
She coughs again…Arnav turns and gives her water bottle..
Arnav : (mindvoice) I will wait until u open ur mouth and talk to me…(he signs her to drink water from the water bottle)
Varsha does not know what to do…She gets the bottle and drinks from it…Arnav gets the bottle and goes..
Varsha : Hello…Arnav…Wait….
Arnav turns…
Varsha : Actually thanks for supporting me today …
Arnav : U don’t have to say thanks…
Varsha smiles looking at the floor…Arnav sees it and wants to tease her…
Arnav : Actually…I did not do that for u…I did that for prof.Mehta…So u don’t have to thank me…
Varsha stares at him angrily…Arnav could not control laughing on seeing her reaction…He laughs…
Varsha : How dare u tease me??
She turns to move…
Arnav : Hey wait…
Varsha : Look…I came to thank u only…Now its of no use…And I wanted to say one more thing…I am sorry for scolding u that day when u came to collide ur bike with me..I should not have scolded u…The point is I did not notice ur apology and so I scolded u…Sorry for that…
She says and looks at him..Arnav too looks on..
Varsha : Now what??
Arnav : Nothing…Actually,I was surprised when u stood against Sanjay all alone…U are very brave…
Varsha looks on and then smiles…
Varsha : Then,I will take that u too stood against Sanjay to support me…
Arnav : Ya…Partly for u…And partly for sir…
She smiles and forwards her hand..
Varsha : Friends??
Arnav shakes her hand…
Arnav : So tell me about u…
Varsha :I am Varsha Sinha…I am from Delhi…
Arnav : Hey my native is also Delhi…
Varsha : That’s cool…My father is a Bihari and my mother is a Punjabi…I have a sister named Vanshika..My family is in Delhi…I am residing here in hostel…
Arnav : Oh…
Arnav tells about him…Arnav,Vicky and Varsha go to the canteen and have their lunch together…
Vicky : Varsha…Did not u make friends yet??
Varsha : Not really Vicky…Some girls in our class are really boring…I don’t feel like being friends with them..
Arnav : So we are interesting??
Varsha :Actually…U guys are my type…
Vicky : Is it?? Don’t u have friends in hostel??
Varsha : Ya…Actually I have a roommate in hostel…She belongs to ECE department…Her name is Meera…She is like me a little…But she does not want anything in this world except internet…She would watch all the movies that has released so far…I wanted to go out and explore this city…But this girl is not even coming out of the room…
Arnav : U want to go out??
Varsha : Ya…I am dying to…This hostel is like prison…
Arnav : I will take u if u don’t have a problem..
Varsha : I will come with u…But u have to promise me that u will not tease me like u did before…
Arnav : No..I will tease u…
Varsha makes pout face…
Varsha : What to do?? I will tolerate u…As of now,i dont have anybody to accompany me..
Arnav : U have to…(to Vicky)Are u coming??
Vicky : I will try to come dude..
SCENE-4
Its morning and Arnav waits outside the hostel…Varsha comes…
Arnav : Hi Varsha…
Varsha : Hi Arnav….Vicky didnt come??
Arnav :No..He said he has some work.. Where do u want to go first??
Varsha : It has been long since I had ice cream..Lets go to an ice cream parlour first…
They board a bus…They reach the destination…
Arnav : Do u jump from the running bus??
Varsha : What?? I don’t know…
Arnav : Lets do that today….
Varsha : No…I cant…U are trying to kill me….
Arnav : Actually,the ice cream parlour is n the middle of two stops…So u have to jump when the bus slows down…
Bus goes very slowly and Arnav gets down…He asks Varsha to come…She looks with terrified face…Arnav gives his hand and she too jumps…
Arnav : Very good…Nothing will happen…Bus is going slowly only no??
Varsha : (rolls her eyes) I have not done it before…But its thrilling…
Arnav : Don’t try it when the bus goes faster…(winks)
Varsha : I will not…I am the one who respects and follows all the rules…
Arnav : I know it…
Varsha smiles…
PRECAP : Varsha says,”I feel like I have got a true friend for life” to Arnav…
