Who is a best friend..?

We have many friends in life. But, there is only particular ‘bestie’

Then, what is difference between friend and a best friend..?

Suppose, if we have a secret.. which we don’t want to know it to anyone.

We love to share that secret only to best friend

Because….

If we share a secret with just friend, it’s possible he/she leaks it to whole world..!!

But a bestie, keeps our secret as a top secret..!! it’s impossible to know about us from her/him.

That’s why, we trust a best friend..!! than just a friend..!!

A small girl is sitting on the swing bench alone. Some other girls are tying friendship bands to each other…
That girl is looking at them sadly. Her hand is empty without even one band on her wrist. May be she was introvert or a shy girl, she sits separate from all and no one comes forward to talk to her..

She is about to get away, but suddenly her hand is held by one other little hand. She looks back…

There is other girl who ties band to her hand. “Happy friendship day..!!” she says to her.
The first girl smiles in extreme happiness.

Second girl: my name is Teju.. your name..?

First girl: Ragini..!

Teju and Ragini shakes their hands.

New friendship has started..!

(Assume Ragini and Teju are different girls)

Do people become friends only if their tastes matches..? Not if they are opposite..??

***After 15 years…***

Ragini and Teju are now 20 years complete girls. And, their friendship grew strong with the time and seasons.

They both are walking on the campus road. Teju who is wearing a red T shirt with Capri jeans looks at Ragini who is wearing pink chudidar.

Teju: yar, why don’t you wear jeans once.. at least once.. for me..??
(she asks in a pout)

Ragini frowning her eyes: Teju, I said you many million times. I hate jeans..!!

Teju: ok ok my angry bird don’t get angry. You show anger to me, but while yesterday that Laksh was teasing you.. you were calm??

Ragini: umm, I can’t show my anger on new people.

Teju: yeah, close people to you like me are victims to your anger.

Ragini looks at Teju in *what..??* expression. She chases Teju, Teju runs,

Ragini runs and suddenly collides with a guy. Ragini shocks and raises her eyes from his strong chest.
Of course, it’s Laksh.
Ragini becomes dumb struck looking at him. Laksh was smirking at her. Ragini takes gulp. He is her senior.
‘What miss junior, where are your eyes??”

“ss..sir.. so, sorry ssir..!!” Ragini says in fearing tone. Teju dislikes that Ragini is fearing to him. She comes near him.

“Ragini, you need not feel sorry.” She says holds her hand and keeps taking her away. Laksh keeps looking at Ragini in a smile.

“Ragini, please. Once, once raise your voice. I want to see you brave..!!” says Teju in upset.

Ragini: what do you mean?? I’m coward..??

Teju: I didn’t mean it re…

Just then, someone hits Ragini’s shoulder. He is going away…

“See my Avatar now..!!” Ragini fumes and shouts on that going away man.

“Hey you..!!”

That middle aged man turns back. “Go Ragini.. GO..!!” Teju encourages.

“Do you have girls in your house? Do you behave with them like this??” Ragini fumes… “super..super..!!” Teju is encouraging.

“Sorry beta..!!” that man says and goes away.
{Assume that man as Dp}

“wow ragini.. you are amazing bro..” Teju shouts and hugs her.

Later, they both go into their lab exam hall. Ragini is not at all tensed but, Teju seemed little tensed.

“Some people teaches brave classes, but see.. how they fear..!!” Ragini comments.

“Don’t act as if you are too brave..!! you will feel same when your turn in viva comes..!!” Teju says.

Just then ‘Roll no. xx’ lecturer calls. Ragini makes her eyes big. “why me..??”
Teju starts laughing. Ragini beats her with a scale and goes to Viva. Now, Ragini even more shocks. the viva external is no one but… the same man whom Ragini scolded that morning. (Dp). Teju falls on bench and laughs even more looking at Ragini’s face now.

*Friendship is all about fun and also some emotions..*

Ragini is watching cartoon network. Teju is sitting beside her with boring face.
‘change the channel yar..!!’ Teju is about to grab remote, but Ragini hides it with her.

Just then, a lady enters that house. (she is Janaki Ragini’s mom)

Teju: hai aunty..!! mom, janaki aunty has come..!!

Teju’s mom comes out..

Janaki: Ragini’s match is fixed. Here is the groom.

Ragini and Teju shocks with this.

Rag: mom, but you didn’t tell me..!!

Janu: you will like him Ragu, he is your senior.

Janaki shows picture to Ragini. Ragini’s cheeks turn red as soon as she looks the pic. It’s none other than Laksh.
Teju starts teasing Ragini. Ragini blushes and runs away.

Teju: oye Ragu baby… did you like him that much..??

Rag: it’s really a miracle Teju…!! I had a crush on him in college, and my parents brought the same match..!!

Teju holds her hands and raises her eye brow, “crush haa..?? you never said me..!!”

Ragini holds her ears:: sorry ya, I thought, it was not that important..!! just crush naa..

Teju turns otherside with frown face. Ragini comes before her..

“sorry sorry so sorry dude, this was the only secret I didn’t said to you..!!” Ragini says.

“But, you said to this secret dairy in your phone..!” Teju takes out Ragini’s mobile from her pocket.

Ragini: haaan..? do you know it’s password..??

Teju: nah..!! I know it’s pin..!! hehe, I read whatever you wrote about your crush..!

Ragini: (keeps surprising)

Teju: I said this to your parents.. made them agree, we all enquired about lucky.. and he liked you too.. and match fixed..!!

Ragini becomes stuck. Teju keeps hand on her shoulder,

“Knowing what’s running in friend’s heart is called friendship..!! I know, everything about you..!!” she says.

Ragini hugs her emotionally.

“Ragini, I have a shock for you…” Teju says.

“what is it..??” Ragini asks.

“Just wait..!!” Teju winks her eye.

Raglak’s engagement fixes in one week. They both are happily engaged. Teju behaves as Ragini’s sister, a friend, and also as a brother in that engagement of her.

Ragini shocks to see Dp as Laksh’s father whom she shouted on and who came as external that day…
Teju winks her eye asking how was the shock..!

During evening, RagLak are talking in phone. Ragini is feeling shy to talk, but Laksh was trying to make her talk.

Laksh: Ragini, after the marriage.. we are going to US. Let’s start our fresh life there…

Ragini gets surprised listening to it.

Rag: but US..? are we really going??

Lak: yes, I have booked for visa interview too…

Ragini becomes silent.

“hello..? Ragini..?” he keeps calling.. but, Ragini cuts the call.

Teju who was roaming here and there looks at her. Ragini asked her to stay there as she herself felt nervous talking to Laksh.

Teju: hmm, call ended so soon..??

Ragini is calm.

Teju: kya huva..??

Rag: he wants to take me to US.

Teju: wow..!!

Rag: wow..?? I can’t go leaving all here..!!

Teju keeps hands on her. “Ragini, life is like that.. accept the changes..!! if, I’m in your place, I would fly to US soon… I love USA.”

Rag: Teju, I’m serious.

Teju looks at her.

Rag: no, I can’t go… leaving maa dad. And you, how can I go leaving you..??

Teju: Ragini, you will get adjusted soon. Don’t worry, we will have phones to talk… video calls to see…

Rag: but, you won’t be there naa..!!

Teju becomes calm with her words. she turns her head other way controlling her own tears. Ragini starts crying already. Both can listen each other’s mild sobbing, they once controlled each other’s tears.. but, now the pain belongs to both of them..!

She hugs Teju.

“I don’t want to go..!!” Ragini cries. Teju simply controls her tears.

Next morning,

Teju over hears her parents are talking. “Ragini is asking to cancel the engagement..! what is that girl doing?? Her parents are worrying.”

Teju gets upset with Ragini’s decision. She goes near Ragini.

Teju: what was that Ragini..??

Rag: I didn’t wanted to go..so..

Tej: are you mad?? Ragini, this is your life decision..!!

Rag cries: I don’t want to go..!!

Teju comes down thinking about Ragini. She knows very well that Ragini doesn’t want to go because of her.

Next day…

Teju starts going to college. Ragini comes and keeps her hand on shoulder. “Let’s go.” She says.

Teju: remove your hand Ragini.. it’s very heavy..! (she says little annoyed)

Rag: hey, are you ok..??

Teju: I’m fine..!! leave me alone..!!

Ragini amazes with her answer. “leave me alone..?? she always used to say let’s be together.. now alone..??”

All that day Teju keeps ignoring Ragini. Ragini doesn’t understand what happened to her.

That evening, Teju is standing on terrace, Ragini comes to her.

Rag: what happened to you..? why are you ignoring me today..?? are you joking..??

Teju remains silent looking at other side.

Ragini gets frustration,
“Arey tell me what’s happening instead of being calm??”

Teju now shouts,
“Ragini, why do you always cling to me ‘teju..teju..’ don’t you leave me alone..??”

Ragini comes near her.

Rag: hmm, I understood. Something is wrong. Somebody said something to you, and you are angry with me. I’m I right..??

Teju turns other side,
“Yes, I’m upet. But not with someone. I’m upset with you..!!”

Ragini looks on..

Teju: I’m seeing from childhood, you are such a boring girl. Still I did friendship with you. It was my big mistake. At least I was happy that you are going away… you cancelled that too..!! I’m not going to be peaceful forever..!!

Ragini gets tears,
“why are you saying like that dude..? if you didn’t like me, you wouldn’t have did friendship with me..!!”

Teju turns to her,
“Yes, I don’t like you. Will you leave me at least now please..!!”

Ragini nods her head in teary eyes and she leaves. Teju cries alone sitting on terrace.

“maa, papa, if teju doesn’t want to see my face.. I won’t stay here. I will go to US. Fix this match.” She says.

Her parents get happy that Ragini has accepted finally, but they aren’t sure what happened between both of them.

The marriage arrangements start. Teju looks at those arrangements silently. It was a week both talked with each other. From 15 years, they never got any disputes. But they never thought this marriage is going to break their relation.

Teju packs everything to go to Germany for her masters.

Raglak marriage is done. Teju just visits as a guest.

Night of Raglak’s marriage,

Ragini is sitting on the bed, Laksh comes. He slowly lifts the veil upon her head. He was surprised to see crying Ragini.

Teju was sitting in airport to go away.

“You have to go into immigration now.” someone says. Teju wipes her tears and starts dragging her suitcase..

But..

Suddenly stuck. She looks back, Laksh was holding her suitcase. Teju amazes.

He was in sherwani and Teju looks back to find Ragini who is standing in her wedding cloths themself.

Laksh says,

“Ragini doesn’t want to go to US bcz, she can’t leave you. Teju was ignoring Ragini bcz, she wanted Ragini to marry the boy she loved..!!”

Ragini and Teju looks at each other.

“You guys wanted to see happiness in each other’s faces. Then, why would I see my wife crying. She asked me only one thing. ‘I want my friend Teju’ that’s why I came here.” Laksh says.

Teju and Ragini looks at Laksh.

“Teju, we can sacrifice anything for friendship but not friendship itself..! because, some relations in this world are not permanent. But, only friendship is forever. Haha, I need not explain it to best buddies like you. Now, I’m leaving everything for you. You guys talk and settle..!!”
Laksh says and goes aside.

Ragini comes near Teju.

Teju: sorry Ragini.. I didn’t mean it.

Ragini slaps her gently. “idiot..!!” Ragini says in tears. Teju hugs Ragini emotionally.

The clock beats 12’O clock. Both break hug…
The date shows.. 6th Aug 2017. (the 1st Sunday of august)

Ragini ties the friendship band to Teju’s wrist. Both gives shakehand to each other…

Screen blanks on their hands together…
