I am telling you the last time, don’t wait for me. I am too broken to get repaired, and you know everything then why don’t you understand.” she tried again even when her heart wanted the opposite. “Ashna is a nice girl, also your mom likes her so much.”
“can we just stop this topic,do you know it’s the 516th time you are saying she is a nice girl.”he said musingly.
And why should I stop,isn’t it enough that how people see us,everytime we pass our lane.”she said ready to end the topic today itself.
“Swear on me,you are saying it with your heart,”he was suddenly serious.
“I don’t swear about things,”she said hastily.
“then I too don’t believe you, and you are saying mum likes Ashna, then let me remind you she liked you too but” he said looking to her
“let’s leave the topic.”she said changing her stare towards the road.
“well, I was saying the same thing a few moments back.”he smiled and she closed her eyes trying to cool herself down.
“we have reached.”he declared pulling out the key.
And opening the car she came out and in time he was engulfed into the little arms of a little girl. “hey princess. How are you?”he asked as he hoisted her up.
“I was fine Paps,” and here she rolled her eyes on the word.
“Silki, how many times have I told you not to say Sayyam uncle ‘paps’ ?” she asked trying as politely as she could.
“but mum, he always says in my ears to call him paps.” She said innocently obvious of the coming drama.
“absolutely right,when Silkie’s paps have no problem, then its alright to call him paps.”he said tickling her sides and the little girl laughed on it.
“lets make you sit in car properly and we will go to eat your favourite icecream.” He said suggestively.
“Yay.”and they hi fived.

After he shifted her in the back seat and straightened he found one beautiful lady staring him angrily, “I need answers.” She declared.
“about what Krishna.” He tried playing smart and thought to enter the car when she caught her arm.
“ you know about what I am talking.”she said leaving his arm.
“oh ,you are angry about the ice-creams, krishna ice creams aren’t that bad.” He said sheepishly buttoning his blazer.
“don’t try to outsmart me.” she was terrifyingly calm.
“okay I got . whats the problem if she calls me paps,”he started. “in a few days ,its going to be real.” And he smiled.
“don’t give her false hopes.” She said in a low voice. “she will get only pains afterwards.”
“don’t you think ,you are being such a stubborn lady.”he said out of blue.
“I can say the same.” She too joined him.
“tell me, you didn’t miss me all these days.” he said turning her towards himself.
“no, I didn’t miss you a single day. And leave me we are outside her school.” And she entered into the car hastily.

“paps, where were you from two, no three ,no ….mum, how many days?” little girl asked to her.
“five days.”and she suddenly turned towards him and found him smirking. “I meant after five days we are going to eat ice cream.”
“no mum, I was saying paps came to meet us after five days.”Silki corrected her and she took a deep breath and said, “yes baby,same thing.”
“I was gone to a different city princess-
“in an aooplane?
“yeah in an aeroplane, its aeroplane princess.”he corrected her changing the gear.
“over the clouds.”
“yes, over the clouds.”
“will you take me and mum with you next time.”
“well, I am ready from many years ,it’s your mum not agreeing to this trip.”he mused.
“Mum,why don’t you pack our bags so paps takes us with him next time.”she said longingly.
“Silki, uncle needs to go alone,it is his job na sweetie?”she tried.
“you are such a stubborn mommy,”she heard her saying and looked to him for help and for the trouble he caused her.
“Silki, which icecream we are going to eat, did you decide and did you see the packet near you ,it has something for you.”he said to her and here she took a breath of sigh, again thinking was she being a stubborn and breaking poor hearts.
But she was not being stubborn and it were the other two persons in car who were not understanding her:one too small to understand her and one too much in love with her to understand her.
