Star Plus’ Yeh Hai Mohabbatein recently shifted its prime track on Ruhi’s love story. Ruhi has fallen in love with Aaliya’s college friend Nikhil, who happens to a helpful guy. Ruhi learns about Nikhil’s past. She gets disheartened knowing he is a divorcee and even has a child. Nikhil doesn’t know anything about his child. He then learns that Riya is his daughter. Nikhil gets too emotional and decides to leave everything to become a good father. He wants to spend time with Riya. Nikhil apologizes to Ruhi for promising love.
Ruhi gets ready to stand by Nikhil at all times. She gains strength from Ishita to not let Nikhil’s past affect their present and future. Ruhi is close to Riya, who is Pihu’s good friend. Ruhi realizes she can bond with Riya well and also look after her. Ishita suggests Ruhi to be prepared to face any circumstances, that can arise by Nikhil’s past relation. Ishita also believes Nikhil was not at fault in his first marriage and his wife forced him for divorce. Ishita supports Ruhi in her decision to marry Nikhil.
