Late in the evening, in a deserted restaurant where there are a lot of flowers beautifully decorated across the room with candles lit and in midst of all that, a table with wine bucket, food and a bouquet. There’s some man who is talking on the phone… “where are you now?” muffled voices heard from the other side of the phone “I’ve been waiting for you ya, saltanat! kab aoge tum??” “acha teek hai. jaldi aaja”. The guy sits there looking at the flowers and smiling to himself thinking of his lady love, Saltanat. He’s lost in his own thoughts when he hears a voice “Zarooon!” He turns around to see this beautiful girl dressed in black dress with loose hair and beautiful bright eyes that dims all the candles lit around the room. Zaroon thinks “How did I get this lucky?” he says “itne time baad kyun aiii tum?” trying to annoy her somehow. “sorry zaroon, traffic taa, kya karun!” with the puppy face that she usually makes. “fine! dont you make that face again” says Zaroon laughing and making her sit in the chair opposite to him. They talk and have a good time, of course while eating their dinner. When they’re almost done, Zaroon pops a question to her “Marry me?” She looks at him surprised and frozen and after Zaroon calling her name out almost 4 times, she says “Mujhe lagta ta ki tumse nahi ho payega, that I had to ask you to marry me” laughing out loud. Zaroon slides the ring into her finger and kisses her hand. They leave the restaurant and head home. Just when the enter the house that the lights are still on and its pretty late. They see Maamoon and Ghazala (Zaroon’s parents) waiting for them to come home. Zaroon’s mother questions them about why they’re late and Saltanat shows her ring to them saying that they’re engaged. Ghazala and Saltanat start screaming with joy while Maamoon hugs Zaroon and Saltanat giving them their blessings. “We should let them know or maybe surprise them” says Maamoon to which Ghazala says “We should definitely surprise them!!” to which Saltanat isn’t excited and stands mum while Zaroon holds her hand. Ghazala makes a call right away… “Hello! Nadeem? Main Ghazala!! haan haan sab khairiyat! Where’s Rubina??” no clue what the other person is talking… “Rishta banana chahte hai hum aap se!” “haan ji bilkul” “we’re coming this month, make sure you start prepping everything!” “chalo bye!” Saltanat looks on… “The tickets are booked, we’re leaving this Friday” says Maamoon. “Is this necessary?” says Saltanat. “It definitely is” says Zaroon walking with her to her room. Everybody goes to bed.
