Falling in love again : Sai Joshi!! Part 28

The next morning Vikram and Sai were equally excited as they were going to hear their baby’s heartbeat for the first time. They quickly got ready and went to the dining table and were joined by the others. Everyone noticed the couple’s excitement and kept teasing them. After having breakfast,  Vikram told everyone that the entire day he and Sai would be out and that they would return only during dinner . The couple left and Vikram drove the car very slowly…..Sai was enjoying his attention as he drove to the hospital. On reaching the hospital he made Sai sit comfortably in the waiting area and himself went to the receptionist and reconfirmed the appointment with the gynecologist.  Half an hour later Sai and Vikram were called to the Doctor’s cabin  where she quickly asked Sai to lay down on the cot  and and applies a cold gel on her belly.  She quickly then started the Ultrasonography and showed the couple their pea sized baby. They even heard the baby’s heartbeats. They both were emotional on hearing their baby’s heartbeats.  The doctor later prescribed a few multivitamins as well as some exercises for Sai so as to ensure normal growth and development of the baby. After their consultation with the doctor was over they quickly called Sayantani and told that the baby was absolutely fine and they even heard their baby’s heartbeats. Sayantani was happy and shared the news with the rest of the family.  Later Vikram took Sai to their favourite lake where they enjoyed the watching ducks waddle through the waters and they enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere.  Vikram held Sai’s hand and their fingers intertwined with each other.Sai rest her head on his chest hearing his heartbeats.

They stood in this position for sometime and later went to the rooftop restaurant near the lake where Vikram had planned a small surprise. The most beautiful part in any relationship is to always make sure your partner is happy …..it’s not only about yourself or your wants and needs …it is also about your partner’s needs, wants , dreams and wishes . A relationship survives when there is mutual respect and understanding between the partners and also trust between the partners is strong.All this lacked in Sai and Virat’s relationship hence their relationship failed .But in case of Vikram and Sai…….Vikram always respected Sai and gave her space . He never forced himself on her for any of his decisions and also stood with her during her highs and lows. Usually many relationships fail as one stands with their partner only during their highs but during their lows they ignore and walk away.  This is why  Sai loved Vikram more than her life. Vikram was her heartbeat.

He escorted Sai to the secluded corner of the restaurant that he had book for them . She was surprised to see balloons and candyfloss on the table. The waiter then bought all the food items which were her favourite chaats. She relished the food and was eating the candyfloss just like a kid. Vikram chuckled looking at her eat the candyfloss and was just mesmerized by her childishness. Later the Waiter bought a strawberry cake which had an icing of HAPPY 1 MONTH OF PREGNANCY…………8 MONTHS TO GO…….She was overwhelmed by this sweet gesture as they both knew that there were certain complications in Sai’s pregnancy and the first month was very critical which they successfully overcame.  Later Vikram took Sai to the local bazaar for shopping where she got a few small toys for their junior who was on the way and even bought a few toys for Samaira and Swathi’s babies who were due ……and bought a few handcrafted home decor items for the rest of the family.

By the time they were done with the shopping it was almost 5 pm so they went back to the lake to see the sunset and then returned to the Palace.  They walked with hands intertwined with each other and entered the Palace. Sayantani was eagerly waiting for them and quickly did their Aarti  and  warded off bad sights which could harm her children and grandchild. Later they showed the Ultrasonography to the family Members who rejoiced on hearing the baby’s heartbeats.
