It was decided that the three of them would go to Usha’s cafe to learn more about Sai’s past ! Quickly they went to the cafe and since no one was present as it was a weekday they found Usha Maushi preparing snacks ! They saw that at one corner of the cafe Kamal’s photo was placed and inside the kitchen Usha had placed lots of pictures of Sai and herself that they had clicked during her childhood .Vikram was busy admiring Sai’s pictures and was lost in his own world! Usha noticing that someone had come was surprised to see the three of them she greeted them and asked them to make themselves comfortable while she would prepare something for them about 15 minutes later she served them Kanda Poha and Kothimbir Vada and also Modak! Tasting all of it for the first time the three relished the food then they chit chatted about things here and there with Maushi in this way they were trying to build a relationship with her and gain her confidence as they knew they couldn’t rush through the matter ! Maushi had noticed that they had come to the cafe with a different mindset so she asked them what was bothering them and also told that they need not worry as she had closed the cafe if they wanted to discuss something very serious! Noticing that the atmosphere in the cafe soon became serious and there was an air of silence !
Swathi was the first to break the ice she asked Maushi about Sai’s past!Hearing about Sai’s past Maushi was shocked she didn’t know what to do as she felt they were still strangers and sharing about her daughter’s past meant inviting troubles to Sai’s life ! Looking at Usha’s dilemma Swathi gently placed her hand on Maushi’s hand and assured her that the matter would be between the the four of them in the four walls of the cafe and no one else would know it and she also promised that Sai would not be judged on the past hearing Swathi’s comforting words Usha nodded and told about how Kamal was transferred to Gadchiroli from Pune due to the increasing nefarious activities in the forests of Gadchiroli! Sai was just 13 years old when a local goon Jagtap started harassing her …he was obsessed by Sai and when she turned 18 his obsession had become madness he wanted to marry her but unfortunately at that time Kamal Dada for him arrested ……The issue was sensitive and thats when an IPS officer was posted in their village they had made a plan to reach Jagtap as he had escaped from the jail but unfortunately in that encounter Kamal Dada saved the officer’s life putting his life at stake which lead to his death! Usha then narrated the entire story of how Sai tried committing suicide , but was saved and how all the villagers and she herself forced Sai to marry the officer as he had promised to take her responsibility! After marriage her life at her in law’s wasn’t easy they opposes her for her education , they tortured her by making her grind masala and how her husband’s ex girlfriend cum sister in law used to poke her nose in their matters how they used to taunt her day in day out and the way she was brutally kicked out at the middle of the night by her Husband and his family for just reuniting two long lost lovers though in the end when the entire truth was out and her husband apologised to her it was too late as he had disrespected her self respect and for any person his or her self respect is of utmost importance! She even narrated how after her final year of MBBS when her friend who was a guy just dropped by to check on her as she wasn’t well and had not attended the farewell party he had character assassinated her and that’s when she realized it was not worthy living with that man she applied for divorce initially he was reluctant to give divorce but later being manipulated by his family and his ego he gave her divorce! She left that city and state and never looked back at the past but the past has created a mental block in her mind that she doesn’t understand that the other name of life is to move on ! Hearing all this the three of them were shocked they were feeling bad for the girl who had it face so much just at the age of 18 ! That’s when Swathi realized why Sai looked at her and Vikram’s bond skeptically as she realized it was due to her past! Maushi was cursing herself for getting her doll married to a devil who looked like a prince and spoilt her daughter’s life ! She felt that Sai’s condition was partly due to her as she had forced her to marry …had she n9t forced things would have been different and her Sai who always used to talk and was bubbly would have not been silent and smiled just at times! Taking Usha’s leave the three left wondering how to bring back the chirpiness in the girl!
The trio went back to the Palace wondering of how to bring back the chirpy and carefree Sai once again! That’s when Vikram announced that he would take Sai out on a dinner date the next day! I’m the evening when Sai returned she was surprised to see Vikram and Maushi happily chatting while sipping a cup 9f tea and when she entered both of them gave her a warm smipe and aksed her to freshen up quickly and joun them in the garden surprised by that Sai nodded and quickly freshened up and went to the garden there she enjoyed her tea and later Maushi left both of them citing she had some work at the cafe . In the meanwhile Swathi and Satvam joined them and both Swathi and Satvam were arguing over how much sugar to be added to the coffee !
Swathi, ‘Satvam you do know right I like to add atleast 3 teaspoons of sugar to my coffee yet you just added 1?!’
Satvam,’ You are drinking coffee not sugar syrup and also excessive sugar is not good for health ‘.
Tired of her husband’s health conscious behaviour Swathi complained like a small kid to Vikram who supported her ! Whereas Satvam commented that he was Bhabhi ka Chamcha to which Sai chuckled ! Looking at Sai chuckle made the trio smile and Satvam asked Sai that isn’t it proven in medical sciences that excess sugar is not good for health to which she agreed and suggested that they should not add to much sugar and should chose for healthy drinks like green tea! Realizing it was time for their games both Swathi and Satvam suggested to play carrom but Satvam who had made a timetable of what games to be played on what day nodded a no saying today was their day to play chess! And before Sai could realize she had to play chess against Vikram as Satvam excused himself saying he had to meet Father whereas Swathi told she had a meeting with her NGO team! The weather all of a sudden became pleasant cool breeze blew in the garden and two lonely lovers were pitted against each other in the game of chess Vikram kept staring at Sai and didn’t realize when she gave him a chocolate bringing him back to reality ! HE was happy she gave him a checkmate as he was already checkmated in her love and was ready to lose in any game against her! Looking at his expressions Sai burst out laughing and that’s when he gently held her hands surprising her ….he asked her if she would join him for dinner tomorrow he would pick her up and go together and she could consider it as a treat from his side for beating him in the game of chess! Sai smiled and accepted the proposal! Later that night Sai’s cheeks turned red recollecting the way Vikram held her hands and asked her out for a dinner date….She kept tossing on the bed due to her excitement as well as nervousness she didn’t know that even Vikram was in the same state as her’ s finally both of them fell asleep dreaming about their date!
