Faded Lights~ A TEI FF by Aashiya Chapter 6

Twinkle moved further away from his room only to realise that it was a huge and lavish home to stay in and her time wasn’t going to be really wasted here. Little did she know that the place had quite a lot many things associated with Kunj. Afterall it had been his house. Getting down from the lavish staircase,
Twinkle ceased at her place as she heard some noise in the kitchen. She wondered if there had been someone into his house at this point of time. It couldn’t be someone from the staff and servants won’t be around at this time. She first thought it to be a mouse maybe,but mouse couldn’t cook something in the kitchen. She had that much common sense. Making her way to the kitchen,she could now hear humming sounds as if someone was singing a song. The curiosity of knowing who it was kept increasing as finally she reached the door of the kitchen. Well,the kitchen had not been less. It was so huge that if she had to cook here,she would have a gala time doing all sorts of funny things along with her work. She wished she could cook here.

Brushing off her thoughts,she peeped in to get a complete view of the person inside. She seemed to be a lady in her mid 50s, with brown glasses and a bit wrinkled yet beautiful face. She was draped in a blue Saree with blue bangles. Her face had a beautiful smile which added elegance to her personality. Though Twinkle hadn’t seen or met her ever before,she seemed to find home in her genuine smile. Maybe because,after a long time she had met an Indian lady in london. Huh obviously Indians existed in London. But Twinkle had met one of this age after long. With small steps she moved closed to her and patted her shoulder. The lady turned and a smile broke on her face when she saw Twinkle.

“Arre Puttar, inne savere savere etthe ki kar ri hai. Tenu teh arram karna chahiye na”

Her mother like concerned voice brought Twinkle to tears. After long,she had got this feeling. She really felt home. She used to miss her mom a lot after her death and this was the first time when she felt she could compare someone to her mom. Composing herself, she started,
“Jee aunty aap kon hai? Actually mai yaha pehli baar aae hu na toh mujhe nai pata.”

To this the lady smiled and replied,
“Puttar,mai Kunj ki caretaker hu. Bachpan se uske saath rahi hu. Mera naam Misha Hai.”

“Oh. Kese rehte ho us Sadu Sarna ke saath aap. Boht pareshaan karta hoga na woh aapko. Oh,sorry. Mujhe esa nai bolna chahiye tha. Aap Please use nai bolna.” She said in pleading voice.
To this,Misha laughed and replied,
“Aree Twinkle,mai bhala kyu bolungi use. Wo hai Sadu. Mai bhi janti hu. Par uski bhi galti nai hai,zindagi ki uljhane kabhi kabhi masum ko bhi pathardil bana deti hain.”
She had tears brimming in her eyes. Twinkle noticed them but since she was oblivious of what she had meant,she didn’t say anything. To lighten the atmosphere she said in her chirpy voice,
” Aree aunty,wo sadu Sarna kharatte (snoring) le kar so raha hai. Uski tension na lo. Aap batao,aap kya kar rae ho? Kuch special bana rahe ho?”

“Nahi Puttar, wo kal raat me jab Kunj tujhe ghar lekar aaya tab to tu so rahi thi. Par us samay tujhe thoda fever tha or tujhe zukaam bhi tha. Toh Kunj ne bola tha ki wo uth ke tere liye coffee banaega subah me,par wo toh mera bacha uth nai paya, toh maine socha mai hi tum dono ke liye coffee bana du.”

Twinkle was shocked. She had fever. She was having cold. Okay these were digestible coz she knew she was prone to cold. But Kunj’s concern was bouncing over her. Oh Lord,this guy would kill her one day. Such a contradictory behavioural personality of his made her feel dizzy. What are you upto Kunj? Was the only question in her tiny head. Keeping her thoughts aside to prevent herself from getting a headache,she said,
“Aunty ye sab baad me karna. Abhi wo sadu sone wala hai der tak,aap chalo hum dono bahar Baith kar baat karenge. Chalo na please.”

Misha couldn’t say no to this little doll. Leaving the ingridients on the kitchen counter,she preceeded with her just become daughter to the verandah to start with their conversations of life,people,and Kunj.

Hey peeps. I know this was boring. It had no Twinj element. I know. I apologise for that. But introducing misha was necessary as she has an important part in the story. U may say she has the character of their love guru??.
