Faded Lights~ A TEI FF by Aashiya Chapter 5

It was 3 A.M. Twinkle still caught in yesterday’s havoc,somehow opened her eyes. Since the room had been dark,she failed to notice it was his room. Stretching her arms,she quietly made her steps towards the balcony. It seemed the balcony was lost somewhere. She tried finding the power switches but failed miserably.

“Did any storm made way to my house because of which everything seems lost”.
Then,an idea struck his brain. She was Twinkle afterall. Late Realisation seemed to always be happy for her. Patting her back,she switched on the flashlight of her mobile phone. What she saw seemed to be extremely scary. The pink walls of her room had suddenly converted themselves into black. What was all this? She was sure it wasn’t her room. But then,who’s was it? Moving her flashlight across the room,she figured someone sleeping on the couch. All that cane into her mind was that she had been kidnapped. She was scared for now. Where and how had she come to this place? Slowly she walked to the person whom she had figured a few moments ago!
“Where are you Twinkle? And where is that Kunj? That angry head would have only wanted to get me kidnapped!!” She mumbled to herself.

Slowly she tapped the person’s back. Getting no response,she tried to have a look at the person’s face. Since his back had been facing her,she climbed the couch and sat on the head. Maybe she thought herself to be a kungfu panda,but what happened next made it certain that she wasn’t one.
With a thud she felt on him only to realise that he was bare chest.
“Shit. Babaji,why do you have to get me into this trouble?”

Chanting God’s name,she slowly moved and took a sigh of relief when she was on her feet.She was about to thank her babaji,when she felt a grip on her wrist and the next moment she was over his bare chest. It took her seconds to comprehend what had happened. She opened her eyes only to find herself on Kunj’s chest and he looking in her eyes. Still In her assumption of being kidnapped,she started like a bullet train not even letting Kunj open his mouth.

“Damn Kunj,you don’t know where we are. Oh gosh,we’ve been kidnapped by someone. First I thought it was you who kidnapped me,but I was wrong. You too are here in the same condition as me. Like we both were asleep. And I just woke up now to find ourselves here. Kunj,it can be dangerous. I don’t want someone to harm us especially you. Huh,Kunj we should……”

This bullet train was stopped when Kunj suddenly hugged her. What was he upto? Here she was trying to save both of them,and he was hugging her. That was ridiculous. But his touch always gave currents to her spine. She somehow hugged him back and spoke in a frenzy.

“Kunj,see we should be going out. I’m there with you. You don’t have to be scared. I won’t let any thing happen to you. You may trust me as I’m trained in Martial arts. Okay?”
While she was busy speaking and expressing the undefined and unknown care she had for him, Kunj was lost in deep thoughts. Still hugging her,his lips formed a slight curve. (Omg,he smiled and that too coz of Twinkle). He mentally laughed on the fact that Twinkle had mistakenly took his room into some deserted place and thought they had been kidnapped. He never liked childish people but his heart skipped a few beats while he had been listening to her. Breaking the hug,he got up and and held her wrist and switched on the lights. The black walls seemed to be even more dark. Twinkle wasn’t able to comprehend things. Then he slowly took her to the walls and showed her the frames. It was all Kunj in the frame. After observing them Twinkle spoke to him,

“These kidnappers seem to be behind you since long. So many photographs.”
He mentally slapped himself for telling her things in a twisted way. This silly head couldn’t understand that if the room had his photos,it was most likely to be his. But he was liking this. This childish Twinkle was someway better than the one who used to used to hamper him from getting his things done in a proper way. Though he hadn’t done these things before,he back hugged her and softly spoke in her ears,

“That’s my room I guess”.
His touch had already had its effect on her but his words took her out of the trance.
“What? Like seriously,we are safe. Oh Lord! I thought I was going to be dead.”
Saying this she hugged him out of happiness. Back to her senses,she composed herself and asked him,

“You took advantage of my caring nature and hugged me. That’s really rude. Apologies.”
Getting no reply as usual,she turned only to see him back to his couch.
“You may sleep if you wish to. And you hugged me yesterday ,so I had make it equal”.

He knew it was lame. Lame enough to be caught. But what could he do even. The moment she asked him was the time when he realised that he had hugged her. He had no answer to his action. So it was better to just shut and fell back to sleep.

“At times,he’s so cute. But the next moment he’s just so annoying. I don’t like people who behave like paradox. But he…leave those things Pretty. You won’t get sleep and it’s 3:30 still. Let’s go and sight see
Mr. Sarna ‘ s house. Those black walls scared me though.”

Saying this she exited giving him a flying kiss just to begin her journey of uncovering his real self.
